THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Welp, I kinda expected some background storytelling this episode and it didn't look pretty. 4 episodes in now and we got Kleemann making his appearance. I find his personality very mysterious so far and wonder what his true agendas are in the show. For what's worth, this guy is definitely someone to watch out for given his mischievous way of expressing himself. |

It was medicore as usual. I'm just not buying this relationship yet between Anzai and Tsukasa Atleast the new guy seems fine so far. |

Generally, I enjoyed the episode but I have some problems with it. The direction was very messy in the first half, I don't get why they make me get pumped up for the good action and a few seconds later I watch some normal dialogue that doesn't connect to the action part almost at all. It happened like 2-3 times and it annoyed me. Music placement wasn't that good as well. I must give some praise to the storyboard though, the fights were dynamic with a few cool shots, the animation could've elevate it even further. 3.5/5 This episode was good but it could've been so much better. |

Anzai becoming mad because of human blood was scary. The new guy is a mysterious person, and also his eye was a good surprise. Kaneki is that you? Other than that the episode wasn't good. The storytelling felt weird and of course the love between the main cast is bad so far. That ending was rather interesting, showing that Devils can't hide in human society. |

Not a good episode. I'm really not feeling the relationship with Anzai and Tsukasa, I simply don't care. It's quite bad. I'm liking the new character though, he's quite mysterious. |

Anzai losing control was somewhat expected since he doesn't drink human blood. Hopefully this blood tolerance thing will help him once Tsukasa finds him. |

Another okay episode... How the fuck did the police let the sniper go. My guess is that the organization the sniper belongs to wants to expose to the world, the dangers of devil's existing and hence they slashed someone in public, hoping that a devil would lose it. So predictable. |

This episode was more action packed and and interesting! Also finding out that there's a way to have a blood resistance is good for Anzai, hopefully he can build one up and become able to resist flipping out! |

This episode was kind of meh. The idea of the story is amazing and I feel like the author/writer could've made it better, idk seems like the writer hasn't read too many vampire books with various types ofvampires to get the gist of it. The ending was interesting. Lowkey I want to readthe manga, maybe it's better. |

Watching this anime frustrates me as someone who loves the manga it's based on. Somehow they have managed to rush and drag the story at the same time. They should have used more time building relationship between Anzai and Tsukasa. Also, is it just me or is the animation quality getting worse? There seems to be less and less frames used in every episode which I hope is just my imagination. Please read the manga. It's so much better than this. |

If he did, it would follow the manga better. This anime is seriously screwing up the storyline and pacing of the manga. People ragging on the mangaka and his story, because of this mess (without even reading the manga to see how different it is) is really unfair to him and his series, and just annoying in general. As for these vamps, they are NOT the usual vampires. They are more like a mutated branch of the human family. They are alive, not undead. They are not immortal. They can eat human food. Personality, I like that they are not the same old types of vampires. They don't need to consume blood and can function fine if they abstain. To everyone else: I haven't watched this episode yet. When I do, I'll post the usual info about what chapters they used. So far it was most of chapter one for episode 1, 10%-15% of chapter 2 & 30%-40% of chapter 3 for episode 2. And parts of each: chapters 4, 5 & 6 for episode 3. |

There are some indie writers who have weird ass types of vampires in their stories. I even read a story few years ago about a vampire that was not even need the blood but just the plasma (it was a sf dystopian shitty short story) to be able to survive and was looking like a human. But even if you love a manga with all your soul you should understand that there are people that might hate it or think the story is shit. Learn how to take a negative comment or a different opinion on something you like. π Oh, I have no problem with people who have tried it and hate it. Its the ones who haven't tried it, use the anime as basis for their hate and lump the two together in that venomous hate. (Some of the comments I've seen directed at the series as a whole (manga usually included) from anime- only viewers are really nasty- going so far as to insult those who like, either the anime and/or manga and flinging the word "retarded" around- (which in itself is an insult to people with any sort of learning issues and I hate when that is used so easily and routinely, in an offensive way) and it is just all really uncalled for, for them to insult the readers/watchers). Yes, your wording was confusing since it sounded like you meant the creator of the manga. Maybe you should say the "script writer", next time, if that is what you mean (just a suggestion). I think whoever adapted this for anime should seriously have their heads examined and/or be fired. I don't love the manga with all my heart and soul, but I do really like it. And I take offence to those who direct horrible insults at the manga, without having even tried to read it. And that they also direct such insults at those who read it and like it. So I suppose that's all gotten me a bit too annoyed. I'm sorry for misunderstanding your wording, in that case. |

Honestly, anyone still watching this should probably drop it and read the manga. Chapters 7-9 are far, far better than this episode. They extended chapter 7 to half the length of the episode and then sped through 8 & 9 while cutting a lot of good character moments. It seems like they're trying to prioritize action but the directing sucks and the music sucks and it's just making everything worse. To the people saying they don't care about the main couple: the anime screwed that up a little too by cutting some sweet interactions between them earlier on. |

Ok! So- they are still screwing with the pacing and adding in useless things again! Yay~..... Not. Friggin' jack@$$es! What the fu€k are they doing with this story?! I'm not a "hater" per se. Just a REALLY dissapointed person who REALLY likes the manga a lot, and dissapointed with what they did to the story content from the manga! First. Jill was not there at the time that Hans was trying to get Anzai under control. Adding her into a scene that she had no part of being in, makes absolutely NO sense whatsoever. Jill is afraid to go against orders. When a superior tells her to do something (such as: Stay here. Don't deploy.) She listens, even if she would rather not to. That's her personality! She even said in the manga that she always listened, even though she would rather not, at times, because she was afraid she'd lose her job! Next. Zero 7 (the female sniper) didn't stick around to try and shoot Anzai some more. She's not that utterly stupid. She jumped in the van when it first arrived, and (since Jill wasn't there to ram a random car into them, the driver wasn't knocked out) they left. Next. Tsukasa didn't go running in front of the sights of the gun (because it wasn't still there). Hans had Anzai pinned on the hood of the police car, she got out and tried talking to Anzai. That scene change adds to the idea that Tsukasa is stupid! She was standing between 2 police officers while trying to talk to Anzai. The pacing is still shit.... But, it is a LITTLE better with this episode. They still seriously screwed up the romance at the start, and fixing the pacing now, can't help THAT. For this episode, they animated parts of each- chapters: 6, 7, 8 and about 10% (in bits and pieces- skipping a lot between scenes) of chapter 9. Previously, they animated: Most of chapter 1, for episode 1, 10%-15% of chapter 2 & 30%-40% of chapter 3 for episode 2. And parts of each: chapters 4, 5 & 6 for episode 3. |

Loving this ship so far..fukk the haters. Because if the anime is dogshit we are compelled to tell people it is dogshit. Now people can like or hell even LOVE said dogshit, but they have to accept it for what it is; dogshit. It's like saying people LOVE the Netflix Death Note "Adaption" or the Dragonball Live Movie. Hell or even the recent FMA live movie. While the Live FMA movie was 'ok' at best. It missed a lot of key points of the story and rushed the hell out of it. A big pet peve of mine was that they did to Gluttony (ROFL). But back to main topic. They ARE complete dogshit works, and as such "FANS" who know of better quality will continue to rip on whatever happens to be dogshit. That being said, I already stated that it's fine for people to like or even LOVE said dogshit. Your argument can be worked both ways, just how people tell others to stop whining about it and simply stop watching it if they hate it; people can too, take their own advice and simply stop whining about said whining and simply watch the damn fuckin' show. The reason people 'debate' and 'argue' is because they have different values. Personal values mind you, a shitty work will always remain a shitty work. There are STANDARDS to things, and I plan to hold studios and mangaka alike to said standards. Not some half-assed work in hopes to rally up a fanbase and leech $$$ of them. |

Personally I don't have a problem with anime that doesn't follow it's source material. For example I love Howl's Moving Castle even though it doesn't follow the original story. When you make an adaptation from manga to anime I think it's even necessary to some extent to change things. However I do have a problem with this episode and anime so far. Not because they made changes, but because, even if you don't know what they have changed, the spacing is off. To me these characters come off as 2 dimensional, which makes it hard for me to feel their connection and struggles. Another, and to me more important factor why I didn't like this episode was the animation. It's not smooth to watch, which I can understand is not important to many viewers. However to me it was pretty distracting. But I will continue watching where this show is going. It's not the best anime I've seen, but it's not the worst either. Of course you can like this anime, there's nothing wrong with that. That said, I do want to hear why some people like or dislike anime I watch. It's interesting to learn reasons behind their experiences whether they are good or bad. There are many reasons why people are talking about manga when watching anime. Of course people will compare adaptation to source material. Especially if they like the original and are hoping that the adaptation will be amazing. Some people want to tell other people watching anime that manga is good, because there are people who aren't familiar with it and could enjoy it. If manga is not your cup of tea, that's totally fine, just don't read it. Some people want to defent the original story, because from their point of view the adaptation doesn't make justice to it. |

Hans Lee is definitely a higher class half human half devil just like Anzai! What happened to this episode is a bit of chaotic since the sniper had a accomplice and it's also a mess trying to subdue Anzai! oh man! Jill could not even manage to handle enraged Anzai! good thing Hans Lee would be helping Tsukasa help find Anzai and train him tolerance for blood! LOL suddenly a slasher went in killing some live broadcast reporter! i wonder what's their motive? maybe to lure out devils? 5/5. |

It's all a bit, well, frustrating. They didn't really put that much thought into the whole fight did they? Thinking about trying out the manga at this point |

Better epi so far. Still kinda dull animation and bad on pacing. Tsukasa, you suck, lady...also, the director is not very good in fight scenes. So there is a anti-devil secret guerrilla trying to kill/incite to do crimes the crimes law-abiding devils, huh? Maybe they want to deport them from Japan and build a wall /lol Okay, this makes the setting a little bit less generic. Still needs some more work to be beyond a discount TG with less edgy and pretentious symbolisms plus lots of Twilight shanenigans in the middle. |
FGO NA Code: 482.072.599 (F2P thug life of savings...) Ben-to! best nonsensical action anime. Ever. |

Well... Her scare looks pretty cool, and she made a new friend, so something came out of this. I've noticed now that the action is nowhere near what it was at the start of the series... though that may be a good thing because the action just looked really weird at first, what we have now is pretty basic. |

Maybe its the fact that I like that its dealing with older characters with older character issues but this honestly has been engaging for me. Yes the animation is mediocre at best but for me its the story and what their doing with that relationship that keeps me interested. Having been in a previous relationship where my significant other was just as passive as Taira I get what's going on. It's clear this isn't for everyone which is why its being done by a small, unknown studio. I'm really interested in this anti-devil terrorist group. It's an interesting angle that all they want to do is expose Vampires and ostracize them from society...or kill them whichever is easier. |
