Anime very rarely follow along with manga. I honestly prefer manga over anime, b/c most producers leave out too much. As far as JR and SH, the manga and anime are exactly the same (except for the sex scenes that TV cuts out). Also, when shows end, they usually leave ppl wanting more. Most anime will never get any sequels, so you're left with anticipation. Bokura ga Ita is a good example. I hated the ending, and the anime pissed me off. But the manga? OMG, that was the best love story I've ever read.

Nowaki and Hiroki met 6 years before the entire story began. Hiroki was still in love with Usami. It's the same way in the manga, and their relationship goes further.

I don't think JR needs a third season either, but new chapters of the manga are released occasionally. If it does get a third season, I won't complain.

I want a Kindle or Windows tablet, but I don't want to seem funny to my auntie since she bought it for me. I'm the opposite. I hate reading on my comp. Although it's faster than my tablet, it's a hassle to carry it everywhere with me just to read.

I don't mean 200 anime in one summer. I mean reaching my 200th mark. I have more than 185 shows in my list now.

Why can't you watch anime? Btw, why did you hate SH? I like it better than JR.

In that case, our arguments will stand since we're both judging from different angles. Since you're not a manga reader :-( , it'll be hard to imagine. I honestly think your opinion would slightly change if you read the recent chapters of Misaki x Usagi in JR. I like when feelings take time to develop, but if everything is exactly the same between a couple for more than 4 years, I personally put my foot down.

No, they'll likely won't open back. I didn't remember any fighting in the thread. In fact, I can't imagine what ppl could possibly argue about with that topic. Lol, ppl will always find a way though.

Your tablet goes to the next page for you?! I wish mine could do that! If it does, I need to find it.

I wish I was more into books than anime right now. I have six novels from a library, including Divergent that I'm reading right now. I barely pick them up. Lol, we should switch tasks at some point. Regarding anime, I'm aiming to reach my 200-mark before the summer is over.

Sorry so late. I thought I replied.

Misaki is so indecisive. He doesn't know what it wants. Sure, he may love Usagi, but he has a funny way of showing it. Shinobu is so demanding, and his behavior makes him seem childish for his age. His relationship with Miyagi gets better though, once Miyagi accepted his feelings. Ofc, I'm judging strictly from the manga.

I saw the news thread. Apparently, the adaptation or project is supposed to be released sometime this year. I hate how MAL closes threads too soon. Since the project hasn't happened yet, it would make sense to leave it open until then. What if updates happened recently that we need to know to prevent false hope? Well, it won't disappoint me if it doesn't happen, but it would be nice to see.

Thankfully, my aunt gave me a tablet for graduation. It is now my main source for reading manga. I feel you about the timer. I hate tapping to prevent the screen from going black each time, but whatever. It's not a big deal for me, although I wouldn't mind starting my own manga collection once I move in less than 2 months.

Yeah, you can run across the same prob with subtitles in manga. It depends on the website, although most of them just rip off from each other anyway. Popular manga like SnK don't have any probs (as far as I can see), but you'll have issues at times. That's the disadvantage of not buying paperback ofc.

Hmm, considering that some of my friends rated this highly and there's also a sequel, I'll add this to my list. It might not be this summer though, since my list is huge.

I think the terrorist couple is my favorite. Romantica is my least favorite, only because it doesn't go anywhere and Misaki doesn't grow up at all. The manga fast-forwards 4 years, and everything is still the same. JR is having a new season?? If it does, SH better get another one, too!

I thought of buying either a Kindle or Nook. My friend dislikes Barnes and Noble for some liberal reason and talked me out of looking at Nooks. I may or may not get a Kindle for my bday. It'll be a big change for me, because I always preferred turning pages instead of having light in my face all the time like reading on my laptop.

It's only tough reading manga from my laptop and waiting 'til it's translated. I give credit to the manga sites. Some translate and scan the pages before it's officially released in North America. If only one of them can do that with Dengeki Daisy. I want to learn Japanese to translate words myself.

What's Hakuoki?

JR is okay. I like the anime admittedly, and it was my first Yaoi. I couldn't stand the manga though. Kare First Love looks cool. I added it to my PTR list.. I love reading novels, too. In fact, I checked out 6 novels from the library. I'm trying to stay away from anime, manga, and reviewing to make times to finish them. There are some (anime) novels out there. I find the text online sometimes, but it'd be better to have them in your hand ofc.
Demi_V May 27, 2014 5:49 AM
YES. There are certainly more manga to choose from than anime. Since I'm a fujoshi and there's hardly any Yaoi anime, manga is always my go-to. There are lots of Shoujo manga out there, too. Which manga are you referring to?
Demi_V May 24, 2014 7:15 PM
Wow. Well, if using money I get for Xmas for my own gift counts, I do it, too. Lol, I get what you mean though.. I used to not read manga, but I grew used to it. Hopefully, you'll give it a chance someday! :) There's a lot of good manga out there that may never or take forever to get an anime adaptation.
Demi_V May 22, 2014 12:41 PM
ROTFL! You're going to buy your own gifts?? You're so funny! That makes a lot of sense though!.. Thanks!.. Btw, the manga is called Dengeki Daisy. I have it in my About Me section, too, just in case anyone asked. I love it, but if I knew ahead of time that it wasn't fully released in English, I may have waited to read it.
Demi_V May 20, 2014 4:07 AM
It seems like the more birthdays we have, the less we get. I know I won't get much, since everyone's been generous with my graduation gifts. Lol, I just realized we're the same age! Well, you're one month older, but still...
Demi_V May 12, 2014 8:31 AM
No problem! How was it?
Demi_V May 9, 2014 2:40 AM
Happy Birthday!!! :)

Hey, I saw that you liked the Bokura ga Ita series, and I highly recommend that you read the manga! I reviewed the manga. Is it presented well enough to persuade you to continue reading the story? Please give me your honest opinion of whether it's helpful or not. Thanks! :)
Demi_V Oct 26, 2013 8:31 PM
I love Sekaiichi Hatsukoi, but not as much as Junjou Romantica. I hate it when guys act hard-to-get.

The only reason I read manga is when I want to know what happens next and am too impatient to wait for the production. Sekaiichi Hatsukoi's manga is better.

You're really dedicated to buy a DVD instead of streaming it on Youtube. Both seasons are on Youtube.
Demi_V Oct 26, 2013 6:00 PM
I didn't know there was a spin-off. I just knew there was a Part 1 and Part 2. It'd be cool if they produced more. I tried reading the manga and just couldn't do it.

Yeah, the review guidelines are tough to follow. No one really abide by them though, especially with the crazy "No CAPS LOCK" rule.
