So, manga readers (no spoilers)... would you say the rest of the season will be better, just as good, or not quite as good as the last 2 episodes? I'm curious because this arc seems to be the highlight of the season and I don't know how good the remaining episodes will be in comparison.

Amazing episode. Bones is nailing it, the fight was less heroic and more somber. Iida crying to hos friends was hearthbreaking and Stain, what wonderfull character. He searches for the ideal hero, like a platonic agent in a society full of vanity. He's a true game changer in BNH, a hint of Watchmen in the series.

YOOOOOOO THAT WAS SO GOOD. But I forgot how short the stain arc actually was... but still the execution and direction of the last few eps have been amazing. I'm looking forward to the rest of the season immensely, and I hope it continues to only get better.

Although the stain arc is regarded as one of the best arcs so far, I personally enjoy the next arc slightly more, because it goes back to focussing on class-1A and some more character development.

At first I was disappointed since it seemed Stain was defeated too early, but, hell, his last stand was awesome. So was Endeavor, even if he is a jerk, he is a very competent hero, he sure earned his number 2 position.

Tbh, I thought this arc would be longer, since it looked like the "highlight" of the season, but we still have 8 episodes more before this ends. I wonder how this will continue from this point.

The action sequences were so amazing and intense. It was beautifully animated. Iida and Deku's combo move on Stain was glorious. Iida's flashback with his brother was nice. It goes to show how much he admires him. It's great to see Gran Torino and Endeavor working together. Endeavor was really cool using his quirk. Really emotional moment with Iida apologizing to Deku and Todoroki. Stain did very good holding his ground against three people. The part where he looks at Endeavor and calls him a fake was chilling, not to mention his menacing speech he gave to everyone. They looked terrified when he said that and the background behind him was epic. Looking forward to the aftermath.

The next arc isn't as good imo, but it's still pretty good. That isn't to say that there won't be amazing episodes coming up. In fact, the last episode of the season, if it ends where I think it will, will be my personal favourite.

And of course, a potential S3 will completely blow this season out of the water.

The next arc after Stain does provide character development moments for some of the kids who haven't had them yet. It may not measure up to the Stain arc in terms of overall tension but it should still be enjoyable nonetheless.

The finale for the season may prove to be a pleasant surprise for anime only folks however. That is if it ends up adapting a particular chapter w/c ends up kind of signifying a turning point for the series and some of its main characters as a whole.

It would more than whet our collective appetites for Season 3 for sure. And Season 3 would be glorious. That, manga readers can certainly guarantee with a stamp of approval if Bones continues with the quality of its adaptation of BnHA.

Yeah, what will come in the first cour of S3 (first 13 episodes), will be even better than the Stain Arc, by far. The next arc this season was ok during the manga, but as the anime usually is better than the manga, it might turn out good in the anime as well. Especially the Stain Arc didn't really hook me when I read it in the manga back in 2015 tbh. Idk why, but it definitely hooked me in the anime and now I actually like it. The same could be with the next arc, although I don't remember all the details about it. Still the end of the season is sth to look forward to, definitely one of the moments I'm looking forward to the most. Although Stain Arc isn't over yet, there are still two episodes to go with two other moments I'm looking forward to.

I'm still looking forward the most to the first 13 episodes of S3. I predict an even higher MAL rating for S3 than for S2. Although, if S3 is 25 episodes again, the second part will be weaker than the first one, but still pretty good. The first part of S3 however is two arcs combined and combined they're two of the best Arcs I've ever read. Definitely the highlight of the manga so far, everything that came since then wasn't as good as what will come in S3, but still I'd say on sports festival niveau. And the pacing will slow down near the end of S3 or at the start of S4.

I definitely expect S3 to start airing in Spring 2018, there's definitely enough content for it, I mean they probably already have enough content to fill more than half of a Season 4.

Man, Endeavor might be a grade A dick but the dude is strong AF, no wonder he is the no.2 hero.

More action... I loved this episode. I want to see how Deku and his friends will be treated now that they have defeated the hero killer.

Wooooo! That episode was HOT! Everything I expected out of an episode titled "Climax" lit af!

Endeavor surprised me too! He has way more than just flames like his sun he was way more op then I was expecting.

It will be interesting to see what becomes of the Hero Killer Stain since his philosophy and motivations aren't entirely evil on their own even if he goes about things the wrong way. He may still have the potential to become an ally or he could remain a dangerous enemy.

Another great episode...what else should I expect out of this anime at this point? I can't wait for the next episode!

That's really the end of Stain? Kind of sucks after seeing his last stand. Even with all his talking down of other heroes he respected All Might as a true hero in his mind. Would have love to have seen a scene with him and All Might together.

The fact that he of all people saved Midoriya mindfucked the rest of the heroes, lol. Gold.

WHOA.

Even though this episode should center around Iida and his friends, Stain, the GOAT, stole it away with performance at the end!
Loved the menacing look he gave to the heroes and how their legs gave in to fear. That was really epic scene.
The conviction to stick to his beliefs left me in awe. And the tenacity he showed towards heroes was overwhelming. He was way too awesome.

Btw am I the only one who thinks the scene when Shoto looked at his phone and Eneavor was all like "Hey, look at me son, put the phone away!" incredibly funny? Even though he treats/treated his family really bad, he still wants his son to kind of look up to him. This episode had a lot of character improvements, not only for him but for Iida and Stain ofc too.
Yes! I was looking for a comment like this xD a bit of acceptance towards his father as well from Shoto's side. Hmm... I really do hope they develop shoto's mother situation a bit more though

Overall: LOVED the iida-midoriya combo, and with shoto blasting fire into stain's face, it's a wonder the dude can still talk. The endeavor action sequence was incredible, especially the blue fire and scaling the walls. Worthy of the no.2 spot for sure.
And then of course, that bloodlust, easily the hype and most bone-chilling part of the episode.
But that leaves me with the question...

Is that it? They show us that incredible, freezing bloodlust and that's the end? The arc has barely started, and that's it? Doesn't seem very 'one of the best arcs of the show' worthy to me... I reeeally want to see some more into that killer intent - was it just me, or did it feel directed massively at endeavor? I'd love seeing some kind of back story there.

Still a great episode though

I don't need to comment on Best Antagonist Stain or dat epic team play from Ida, Deku and Shouto either (Grand Torino was boss again too)

I wonder how everyone will react knowing Midoriya killed Stain. I hope the good guys get into another scenario where they have to kill, it would work for some really good character development.

All that reddish aura that covered everyone was bloodlust emanating from Stain.

Despite being beaten he's not down as he has motives still driving him. His ambition and goals to bring the true meaning of the word "Hero" back is what drives him. Everyone, including the pros stopped because they could feel how intense his bloodlust was.

As for Stain's mask, it had nothing to do with why everyone stopped.

Another intense and enjoyable episode. Loved the attack combos the characters used.
I was really impressed with Endeavor this episode. He's so far come off as a complete Asshole but this episode showcased that he's a really impressive and competent asshole who despite his many, many flaws does tend to do good things. I wouldn't be disappointed if he got some development and maybe even some growth. He'd still be a total dick in my eyes but it'd still be good to see his humanity.

The Ending gave me chills with how shocked everyone was when Stains mask fell off and he screamed at the moon for All Might.
Is Stain someone they recognize? Is there more to Stain then just the serial killer we've come to know?
I can't wait to find out.

What a great fucking episode. Holy shit. I can see why it was titled "Climax" now. Tenya can be really badass when he wants to be, he just has to put his emotions to the side so that he can think with a clear mind. And Endeavor's really fucking strong– he's a BAMF (but still an ass). Only downside is the Best-Girl War wasn't featured at all. :(

Another enjoyable episode but personally I didn't find this arc to be all that special. Like, I just couldn't get myself to feel anything for Ida considering it was a pretty simplistic attempt at the typical revenge arc and even Stain as a villain was pretty meh. The highlight was the fight, but even that ended up being less hype than what I was expecting other than a few cool moments.
5 main aspects I base my ratings on:
1. Did DramaEnthusiast make a thread about it?
2. Is it better than Breaking Bad?
3. Did MellowJello recommend the shit out of it?
4. Has it caused a (very entertaining) shitstorm on MAL?
5. Is it actually good?

Scratch the fifth point, it's not very relevant...

FANTASTIC & BRILLIANT EPISODE. Now this a climax episode.
Iida got up. Love seeing the flashback with Tensei & what it means to be a hero.

The determination & teamwork between Deku, Todoroki & Iida is amazing. The OST was superb.
That Iida & Deku punch & kick to Stain was great.

DAMN Endevour was awesome. He is a terrible father, but you gotta respect him for being an amazing hero. That flame arrow was cool. Wonder if Todoroki will ever learn something like that?

Gran Torino is a boss. Don't mess with him.

Holy Shit Stains killing intent & bloodlust was terrifying. Everyone was so freaking scared.

Studio Bones keep smashing it out with these amazing episodes. Keep up the great work.
