----------------------------------------
Hmm, pretty generic theme songs (both OP and ED)

Action wise, it's still the same stuff I expected this episode. Eru does prove himself with his skills though so he shouldn't be underestimated. I'm pretty much used to the CGI content now and it doesn't seem distracting. Plenty of action this episode, I wonder if this series can keep it up. The ED theme had a variety of mechs so I do expect to see more of them in action.

They rushed the first episode but spend this entire episode on a battle which means there is hope.
Tho i wonder will the rush next week or will the focus a bit on story and information instead of battles, guess we will have to wait and see.
For now it was a pretty intense episode.

Second episode was way too rushed with the Battle .. first they didnt know if close to 100 knights could defeat it and then after their first strike its "enchancement magic" ran out? That seems way too weak for something that even the king has great respect for.

First episode was Good, but the second is kinda meh.

I was wondering how the Knight lost 80% of its mana even before he optimised it as it literally was only used to walk to the Forest and Run away. With less than 20% he managed to kill the dato hardest boss Monster and the only grave thing happening was that the machine couldnt handle all the stress?

Cmon you can do it better..

Must be the guy who wrote the first half of episode 1.

Whoa, that look-alike Odibatorasu Division class Monster surely full of surprise and deadly.
Is it just because have Ernie have "stronger" Magic power than the Knight, just the Knight's pretty dumb for thinking about do piercing attack at the Monster's eye?

Division class monsters aint much of an issue for our genius trap. Honestly I don't mind the seldom op MC here and there for action shows. For the story I guess I'll have to check out the novel, which is not that surprising.

That monster reminded me of the Pokemon Torterra

Ernie has proved himself by taking on that monster. They had to hide the fact it was the doing of a 12 year old which makes sense. I feel really bad for the knight Ernie stole the Silhouette from.

The OP and ED are decent, nothing special or great but decent enough to get by

As for the episode, Ernie continues to impress and I like that he used his brain to beat the Demon Class monster.....It's kinda convenient that he can do so much with the mech but hey, at least it's better than him being some chosen one or having a random OP ability

I think that's why I liked reading this so much as well....We have an intelligent MC whose skills are believable because it transferred over from the real world and that's pretty nice imo

Good episode overall and I really liked the action scenes (Also that was very admirable of those knights in the beginning to spare that one kid from dying for the sake of his mom)

Every season CGI in anime has been improving and its now getting to a point where I think a good majority will accept it. The robot themselves are extremely detailed and have good motion. In general this is a pretty good looking show. First episode was world-building but this episode was a flat out 20 minute battle. Hopefully some more world building next episode. I think the cores of those robots might be built from powerful demon hearts?

WOW! Badass opening fight scene with the Behemoth!!! Those Knight-Runners never had a chance!

Disappointing OP song I like the animation reel of the characters and such but the song just doesn't fit right. It gives off too much of a fluffy happy vibe when they could have gone with a more intense action type song that gets you hyped up! Just seemed like it could have been done better. Generic AF

I really liked the episode Ernesti is an awesome fighter in the Silouhet Knight considering it was his first time and that Behemoth put up one hell of a fight too! I still think this will be a good anime despite the preconceptions a lot of people had about it because of its generic-sounding premise. I have enjoyed every bit so far (except the OP and ED)

Well, I think Ernesti is a bit too overpowered and witty already but it's not like it's necessarily a bad thing. It's kind of hard to believe that a whole squad of Professionals were worried as to whether they can defeat the Demon or not while Ernesti himself without any hesitation whatsoever, fetches out for a robot and consequently knocks it down rather convincingly.
Op and ED seem nice but nothing extraordinary. I think the CGI animation is quite fantastic itself and the robots movements are shockingly very fluent and smooth so that's a bonus.
I'm really enjoying this show so far. Setting of the show is also another notable feature and the atmosphere and vibe is gives off are something really that I'm looking forward to. First episode was world-building with a little too-pacey motion but it was still awesome while second episode was a full on battle which was yet again a bit too-pacey. Hopefully, the third episode will slightly present itself in a slower motion and will be of the world-building type. Nonetheless, fascinating first two episodes to start things off.

op and ed are alright, nice long fight.
Eru hacking and boosting the knight enough to fry the demon's brains :)
The demon's shiny effects are nice especially in the dark, if it was in a bright setting it would have been less impactfull.

Eru proves he can pull his weight in this episode by moving his Silhouette Knight as gracefully as his own body. The action setpiece was amazing, made all the more impressive with Eru's intelligence and resourcefulness. This is proving to be an interesting show. Also, props to the OP and ED. Good music.

Welp, they butchered the Behemoth fight and left out all the gore and the supposed injured units in the training squad. Not to mention they sped up all the explanations for how Ernesti managed to hijack Di's Silhouette Knight and even changed up how they defeated it. I get the feeling that they're not really following the manga storyline and are just going with the overarching plot now. Makes me wonder just how far into this show they'll go, considering the OP already has the Black unit flying into space and all that...

This series is great, I don't know why people are always saying its rushed. It dosent seem rushed to me in anyway. I'm really enjoying this series so far to be honest.Everyones saying the anime is generic? how? it dosen't seem that way to me. If you dont like this anime just don't watch it its simple but anyway this episode was great! I'm normally not big on cg in anime in anyway because we have all seen bezerk and how bad the cg was in that but the cg in this was done great! that fight scene where they fought the behemoth was kickass! i wonder that powers the robots though? is it demon beast hearts?

It was kind of cool to see Ernie improvise on how to pilot that Silhouette Knight since he's too short to reach the controls, and then subsequently kick that monster's ass. That made for some decent entertainment. I also found it pretty funny how the higher ups are so embarrassed at the fact that a kid beat the monster so now they're trying to keep it a secret.

Ernie wants to build his own robot now, I wonder if they'll go into detail about what he wants to construct and if he'll even be able to do it in the first place.

I hope that this MC is going to struggle soon... For a monster that is supposed to take over 100 "robots" to kill, having a 1 man army against it feels... cheesy.

I mean, it's supposed to be that huge threat that a kingdom may not be able to handle. He took it down practically solo. What other threats are there?

Maybe the struggle is not in battle but creating a special Robot for the MC? As stated the MC motivation is creating a unique robot that designed only for him. IMO to make things interesting, making MC struggle in non-battle way is the possibility I can think of if the MC is OP in battle.

A good start for the series. We could see that Ernesti is already OP in the beginning so I wonder how the story will turned out in the future. IMO this anime looks like Schwarzesmarken. Hope that the story wouldn't turned out to be the same (Where they're fighting alien at first but in the end they fight each other robots vs robots). I watched this anime because there's a combination between Fantasy and Mecha which is rare so I don't want it to be destroyed by only showing a Mecha vs Mecha story because it's already too cliche.

Love the OP because of Fhana. The ED is average I think.

Hmm I haven't read any LN or manga from this series, but judging from the premise of this battle of a large boss, for some series it could even be stretched to 2 or more episodes. The thing is the first episode did not cover how the MC learnt how to pilot the Knight first-hand (in his style, no less). There were a lot of things unexplained that build up to the impressive battle in ep 2.

Holy hell that is some fine CG. Behemoth CG is really nice job, it blends nicely into the 2d background. Knight runners also blends nicely. The only bad thing is... they butchered the first arc. People don't know anything about the characters except eru. This will be a bad adaptation except for the fighting and the art.

He had better magic and programming while others didn't.At least he had a reason,

Even at The scene he poked the eye,he managed to do it just because the monster couldn't close it's eye in time.

not impressed. Pretty generic everything... and predictable....
Op and ED didn't stand out.
Neither did the BGM.
Pacing for the last two episode is inconsistent and rather poor.
I expected fodders to just die and MC to save the day. And exactly just that. On the first episode, with relative ease at what the guards hyped up to be a giant nothing that occasionally blast a few death beams.

But knowing the OP MC is not far away... destroyed any tension. Seriously, if magic are like scripts, this guy must have computational power of at least some early 50s and 60s computer if not more.
He is basically writing and running the scripts if he is actively using magic to move it. Real-life robots have a lot of complex scripts and mechanism... This guy need to have some super brain to run through all that.

I mean him making some gun-sword-wand thing at the first episode already makes him obviously the OP MC... And this episode reaffirms it by having him do something professional military failed and apparently did something never ever done before, magically control a mecha.
Seriously, you have a MC that barely even got far in it's academy defeat the known top-class monster... What more development can we get from the MC???? On his first step, he already defeats the strongest thing out there that was going to just run down the country.
Casually no less with some run down mech.

Maybe I'm being too harsh but I don't think this will get much better. Seeing how we have the generic government intervention on some schoolboy doing some little training. Not to praise but to raise suspicion. Seriously? Single mecha pose that much of a threat to your kingdom that you have to say "hold too much power" about a little school boy?
I guess so when your professional military is comparatively incompetent.

As just nit-picking, the shemale main character bother me so much... Voice almost like a girl, but just enough 'boy' to tell he is not. And look exactly like a girl. I don't care if side characters are like this but having to stare at the MC act like this is kind of annoying. Especially when everyone call him cute and stuff.
Only takes two episodes for 2 girls to fight over him.

It is very nice to have a full episode of fighting, rare for anime. though I question if this is a good idea so early on.
Animation is top notch though. Except for that bell ringing... oh god that was horrible, but everything else was nice. The robot and monsters are very smooth, the CGI blends in with conventional art very well. barely noticeable if at all.
It is nice the MC is smart instead of OP power, but at some point even that becomes just simply OP. It is good for him to apply real-life knowledge, similar to how he killed the monster. But all the other stuff he did was hardly justifiable. Instead he should of been support and advised on how to kill the monster, and not actually be the one handling the robot.

The first knight iirc tried to cut the eye. I might be wrong. But stabbing goes through armor much better, which is what Ernie did.
If you are familiar with any European arms and armor, it have a similar idea when you are half-swording. Even though swords wouldn't be a preferred weapon.

The last episode had poor pacing IMO, too rushed. Info dump and all that. I felt that should of been 2 episodes where we know more about the world and characters.
Like a more detailed look in to the whole academy school life. I know a bit generic, but that is a good way to get to know the characters.
Or let us look in to them when they were still little with Ernie teaching the other two magic.
Some of the other stuff should be cut and inserted as flashbacks or conversations later on.

It felt too much of a info dump including those, and broke up the pacing with random narration and time skips. One time skip should be enough, but we had like 2-3 if not more.
Every scene was practically a time skip.
And some obvious problems like the kid's mind before he entered it(as it seems he woke up when the kid is already grown) should be dispelled immediately since there isn't much opportunities to go back to it.

Right now, the whole info dump concentrated on how he got to his current point step by step. With this battle taking up the 2nd episode, we have little knowledge on the entire world and the main characters.
Instead of a step-by-step info dump on how he got to his current state. A short summary is enough and the details inserted in later on through various means.

So it will take the 3rd episode for us to actually know enough to try and feel like we are in that world. Assuming they use that episode to world/character building

The problem isn't necessarily with how Ernesti was able to do what he did. He is technically ~40 at this point if we combine his previous life with his current age, so learning how to operate the machine seems unproblematic given the apparent similarities between magic in this world and programming. The fact that he can operate the machine better than others also seems explicable given how he's using an entirely new method of operation that's less mechanical and more neurological.

What is problematic is that he inexplicably acts like Earnesti's age. Yes, we get that he's a robot-con and that he wants to operate a silhoutte knight. But to go fight a monster of that size and caliber as his first time made no sense at all. He's smart enough to know that it isn't his responsibility, and not having been trained there’s pretty much no way he could’ve known how the battle would've played out. As he said at the end, it was lucky that he did it. But is Ernesti's personality really that he’d risk his life for something as trivial as being able to ride a silhouette knight then and there? Again, he's a robot-con, but that isn't the same as being an impulsive idiot, which was basically a synopsis of this episode absent his enormous MC plot shield.

Problem is this is the same with ep. 1 in terms of a Gary Stu setup. Everyone around him is drastically inferior in either intellect or ability, and of course the king is going to act like an idiot by trying to keep a lid on his genius. All of this screams of a self-insertion fantasy. Rather unfortunate really since this is a common flaw that series like this suffer from.

Surprisingly this was better than I have expected though. Honestly if the show keeps up with the pacing in a way (although much appreciated if they can slow it down a bit though the pacing in here didn't bugged me much either) then this might be pretty nice to watch. The CGI isn't that great but for what it was working on it actually was at least not only tolerable but entertaining as well.

Ernie has proved himself by taking on that monster. They had to hide the fact it was the doing of a 12 year old which makes sense. I feel really bad for the knight Ernie stole the Silhouette from.

I thought it looked more like an Avalugg for some reason.

I LOVE THE OP. I got hooked after listening to it only once. Only Fhana is capable of doing this to me. The ED is ok just for now

I like how he defeated the behemoth by using the sword as a lighting rod to fry it's brain rather than beating it to submission. other threats can be other kingdoms that want to kidnap Eru for his ideas or probably for his cuteness.
