| Also this 3rd Juuni Kokuki arc has been so freaking good, if it was it's own entry it might be in my top 10. Not that the first two arcs were bad or anything but the show kidna settles for a solid level of quality and enjoyment and then the 3rd arcs hits you out of nowhere with some of the best character development and dialogue ever. Now it's gonna be twice as frustrating when the inevitable open ending happens tho :/. |

| say that after it comes back, i think around now is the time to actually start worrying about cancellation or abrupt ending due to health. With hunter x hunter rumored to be coming back for at least half a year and jump finding some legit mainstays in its current roster it may be alot more expendable now than it once was. |

It seems like it was more reasonable back before the internet really took over. the other more obvious one is to kill time to make way for later production. |

I liked the final Clannad: After Story episode despite it being mostly recap. |

| I'm not sure what to make of Utena, and I'm not talking about its meaning-- the general meaning actually seemed pretty obvious imo. It's just that although the directing was great and the meaning was conveyed well enough, some aspects of the plot were left more vague than I care for, especially considering how much mystery surrounded the plot for the majority of the show. So I'm left wondering what to rate it. Hmm. In any case, Ikuhara's alright I guess. |

great song to end the anime Only the OVAs remain. GGirl was pretty solid overall, both the first season and the second season. First > Second still, but second was better than what I initially expected. Pinocchio was pretty top. |

Edit: I guess it's just that I'm used to magical girl warriors being superhumans, but everyone in Utena seemed normal in that sense. |

In a way I feel like it's a wonder that I ended up liking Utena as much as I did. Despite Utena being nearly universally liked in this club, my experiences with Ikuhara in Sailor Moon were pretty sour when it comes to the parts he was apparently most vocal about. Sailors Neptune and Uranus were entirely the worst part of the recurring cast imo due to their attitudes toward the rest of their allies, and Sailor Moon S, the only iteration Ikuhara directed in its entirety, was definitely the season I liked the least. The idea of him directing a movie solely focused on those two... It was probably for the best that he split ways with Toei. Yikes. That reminds me, I really should watch the Sailor Moon side movies. As for Tuxedo Mask, I can't say I agree with Ikuhara's criticism. At all. The first season is the only one where his relationship with Sailor Moon could be interpreted as more dominant, and even then they had a major role reversal by the end of the season. The idea of killing him off is really bad since he's very important as a backdrop/indirect provocateur for some late developments that I found to be extremely compelling. Not to mention that Sailor Moon's setting is near-depressingly bleak as it is and throwing even more death on it would just make it Endless Suffering: The Anime. ...Tfw Anthy is in eternal suffering in Utena. Tfw he wanted to do that to Sailor Moon. :blobrage: But seriously, cynicism probably would've made Sailor Moon unbearable, so I'm glad he wound up doing his own thing. Utena ended up being pretty good. |

| Man I keep hearing so many mixed things about wonder woman, had a couple friends say it was almost a good movie but the final 20 minutes of it ruin everything. I ended up just watching the ralphthemoviemaker review of it and his description of the ending ruining everything sounded absolutely infuriating to experience |
