| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- To my surprise this episode was the total opposite of what I expected... Here I thought they were going to animate the beach arc that A-1 deleted from existence in the second season (well they did animate it's conclusion...), yet it turned out to be kind of an episode 0 to the Impure King arc that took as a few years back to when Mamushi and Juzo were students in True Cross Academy. Nothing of major importance happened, but it was nice to see a different side of Mamushi's character. |
| Good adaption of the arc, I rather agree that it's like a prequel / prologue to Season 2. Nice interaction between Mamushi and Juzo, a bit more background to their sudden marriage! Mod Edit: Removed deleted post |

| Centering around the girl who uses snake, and "betrayed" in the arc when she was still a student. I cannot imagine the two who are not in a good term would become a pair in the near future. Why do they have to clean up the rocks with weird face anyways? There's a real one mixed there. She truly cares about the monk who doesn't join and help out with the group. It seems like the cleaning up was fake, but just for the teacher to investigate and choose one out of these two to use for his "mission". He chose her because it's easy to use her based on her personality (so she didn't betray on her will, but was used). lol @ after ED with the continuation of the main series, centering around the proposal. It's nice the main group do appear a bit, even though they are minor characters in the OVA. It's surprise to see doll guy in there even though he rarely appeared in the whole second season. |

| This one is very interesting because honestly in the anime I didn't think she liked him (I only got that he was the one in love but not her [he was a Tsundere]), but by watching this I can tell she has liked him for a long time (she was/is a Tsundere). The other thing that botherme in the anime & Ova is that nobody understands that almost everyone has a reason for what they do, so they should know to at least trust, or understand that the Elder/Head Priest might have his own stuff to do/deal with, especially him since he treated her kindlier that her own father. She was fortunate that everyone around her specially the Elder/Head Priest are/is a forgiving person… Well it worked out in the end for her and Juuzou. quercifolia said: I have to agree... if this was a prologue I would sympathize a lit bit more with Mamushi...Good adaption of the arc, I rather agree that it's like a prequel / prologue to Season 2. | Yay for arguing couple. Extra special when in kansai-ben. Both are so tsundere, I love it. How heavy are those rocks lol. She finally got on the back she was hungry for. Mamushi is kinda annoying but not unlikable. Wish she wasn't so gullible tho. But then again, she was a teen at that time. Also she got the best guy. |

| I do not feel I have to reject this first OVA, though adding nothing to the main story, in the end, nevertheless shows Mamushi's past moments along with Juzo. But it hurts me, the fact that I do not know anything yet. I would have done less than a memory of the past, to know better what happens after the marriage of those two. I hope this will happen in the next OVA. |

Didn't add anything new to the story and I had to put up with an episode dedicated to Mamushi :( Also what does Shima mean that Mamushi and Juzo are related????????????????? Huh??????  |
