THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
The grueling battle between the Minks against the Beasts Pirates lasted for 5 days until Jack brought out the poison gas weapon which paralyzed all the Minks. What transpired after that was brutal torture and crucifixion to the fallen Mink warriors. Jack dismembered Inuarashi's leg and Nekomamushi's arm. Ruthless.. :(

The Twirly Hat Crew arrive at Zou for the first time and used Caesar as a balloon to safely fly up to the top of the huge elephant. xD Brook was pretty cool using his Soul Parade technique. Now it's up to the Twirly Hat Crew to save the fallen Minks. Jack lives up to his name as Jack the Drought leaving destruction on the Mokomo Dukedom, and he's definitely one of the most stubborn bad guys ever. :(

Well... It never cross my mind that a villain aside from Donquixote Doflamingo would make me feel so enraged... congratulations Jack you did well! 〴⋋_⋌〵

Damn, that bastard and his crew tortured the wounded and showed no mercy to the leaders... No wonder Wanda seems to be struggling with the situation the poor girl must have nightmares about this whole ordeal.

Talking about Wanda why isn’t she affected by the night shift like the others?!

Great episode.

The fight between Nekomamushi and Jack was good, Could have been better but I'll take this.

Jack was absolutely savage and brutal, Using the gas, crucifying and torturing the Minks. That along with Wanda crying really sad to see. :(
They're lucky that he had to leave, Who knows what else he would have done..

StrawHats using Caesar as a Balloon was funny. xD
What's the OST that played when Brook confronted Jack's underlings? I don't remember it at all.

Looks like Inuarashi lost a leg and Nekomamushi a hand. :(

Jack is a beast OwO

I doubt that Jack is dead, maybe wounded but not dead, or the point of revealing his bounty and strength have no meaning :3

That was just horrible to watch in the end, Jack is really a villain and pointed it out fast >w>
"No matter what painful things happens, even when it looks like you'll lose... when no one else in the world believes in you... when you don't even believe in yourself... I will believe in you!"

Wow this was quite the serious episode, the two masters having lost an arm and a leg.. can't wait to see Jack get what he deserves

And apologies for last week thinking Jack was the same person as Whitebeard's son or whatever!

What is meant by the Twirly Hats? Where did the term come from, who's hat are they referring to? First time I noticed it in the title of this episode? Do they mean the subgroup of Sanji & co? Why? Thanks

Great episode btw, really loving this arc's start

Great episode.Nekomanushi vs Jack was very good. The Minks kept fighting with shifts, but a poison made by Ceasar finished them and ended up crucified and tortured.Lol'd when Straw hats used Ceasar as a ballon.Jack left some of his underlings in Zou and went to save Doflamingo.

Jack was holding back his true power but at the same time he can't finish them off since they are too fast and won't come into his range for long.
Then he got tired and got the gas.

It's sanji's group, they call it twirly because of sanji's eyebrows.

so again, this is all the next guy down from one of the four emperors is... looked legit, but explains the sadness, bloody poison gas... well i guess it makes sense, the seven warlords are supposed to give the navy more pressure against the emperors than he navy can supply, and Luffy messes up most if not all of the warlords.

now, can we beat the hell out of mr clown? also, so, Sanji? Caesar? where? too many holes and won't be filled anytime soon 3/5

Yes there is a high chance that he is still alive. Though in the anime they say that he might be badly injured.

very good episode. the pacing seemed better than the last two episodes. That ending was totally brutal. Too bad they didn't keep the "crucify and chill" line lol. Caesar saying "I'll get even with you buttholes!" made it all okay though.
can't wait for next week.

Nice progress in this episode. Even if I don't read the manga it feels like they made a greater step as in the couple episodes before.

The fight between Nekomamushi and Jack looked great. I didn't expect Nekomamushi and Inuarashi be that strong to keep up with Jack, even if it's totally crazy that Jack fought for 5 days against both of them. Now it's obvious why he had such an abnormal bounty. Anyways because he couldn't beat them he had to use a gas weopon which is really unfair.

The suffer muste be hard for the Minks. Jack is absolute cruel, he refused Nekomamushis arm and Inuarashis leg. I don't want to know how much Minks died.

Seeing Wanda crying like this was sad :(
I don't think Jack is dead, even if it was in the newspaper. I don't wanna think about if Luffy would have needed more time to beat Don Flamingo. It would have been an absolute disaster for the Minks.

It was funny to see how Sanjis grouo used Ceasar as a baloon :D
Also Brooks Soul Parade looked great to stopp Jacks subordinates.

Can't wait to see what will happen next.

This is harsh! This was clear it is not going anywhere, I wonder what was Jack's real motive? or was he thick?
Also, I hope he is not dead so that Luffy can kick him. I wonder why did he die?

The cat and the dog kings are both really cool, despite their difference in attitude.
It's been a while since I was moved, I am really glad about the current events direction :)

Kaido's crew cruelty goes on against the Mink tribe. Expected that they will leave after a killing many of them and torturing their leader, but spreading chemicals to kill all of them were never expected. Oh well, at least the Mugiwara crew saved them from going to the next world. wow, if Jack's squad is so bad, how must the rest be. Interesting. Looking forward for seeing this amazing war against Kaido.

Dude, never expect the manga to be animated exact bloody and good in the anime. Remember Shanks arm. All the blood in the water when it were ripped off. It weren't half as good when it got animated.

Actually when they it were shown in Luffy's special ep. and in flashbacks there were times there were no blood which didn't make sense at all. So yeah after seeing that I understood that Toei will never animate it as bloody as the manga, but much more censor and less blood.

I think it will be Zoro or Sanji's job to go for Jack's head. Luffy will fight Kaido himself. :)

It was a goodish episode. I'm not quite sure myself, but the pacing was a little too slow again. I care more about what happens next and where Sanji is, than this part of the story, which was told in this episode.

The fight commenced for days as the night and day rulers and armies fought Jack and his men, and despite Jack not destroying the rulers and taking some hits, he never went down. It went on so long that Jack triggered a poison gas that was trafficked to Kaido from Doflamingo and made by Caesar. Talk about a cool causal chain, all of which we have been familiarized with. It made me wonder if the other instance of poison gas we’ve seen in One Piece, that of Don Krieg, had to do with Caesar. I’m sure he’s not the only manufacturer of that kind of thing, but it is curious. From here, nearly everyone was slaughtered and the strongest of the country was tortured. This creates another causal chain I can’t help but love. Jack left to save Doffy because half of the Straw Hats defeated him, and the other half managed to save the country because Jack was driven away. It was a two step, coincidental Straw hat plan. That is super cool to me.

That said, these saviors of the country not only have the Wano samurai on their side which can be blamed for these events, but also Caesar who made the gas bomb that facilitated the massacre of this kingdom. But let’s talk about the fun stuff when it comes to the Sanji team’s visit to Zou. Firstly, they used Caesar as a gas balloon which I adore. I’ve come to have a huge crush on that cutie and seeing him used as a bag or a balloon is nice to say the least. Nami went full big sister mode to help the girl Sheepshead was attacking, Brook used his badass ice from hell, and Sanji looked quite compassionate to the injured Pedro and his pleas. Good thing Caesar is made out of gas, just tell him to go carry the rulers over here!!!

Zoro was looking outside last episode as well and I was wondering if he was going to leave. Maybe he’s simply being on defense.

Damn, the Beast Pirates really do live up to their namesake. Formidable, ferocious, and enjoyers of wanton destruction; not to mention that they're willing to do anything to gain the upper hand. The fall of the Mokomo Dukedom's pretty brutal to say the least.

It looks like Jack really did die when he went ahead and attacked Sengoku's ship in that suicide attack. If he's not the main villain of this arc, I wonder who it'd be since Kaido's somewhere else while Sheepshead looks like he's too pathetic to even be close to being a main villain. I guess I'll have to watch more~

It's not hard to imagine how Jack got that billion bounty. I thought the Beast pirates were just primal brutes, but that just confirmed what a bunch of scum they are. It also reminded me that behind the comedy relief that Caesar has been used for lately, he's still an absolutely dastardly villain who has produced some of the most evil weaponry imaginable.
