THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
Another adorable episode. I can't help but appreciate the art style that brings a form of realism into the story. Plus, we got Rinko in this show and she's a pretty sight to see.

Souta and Poko went shopping and I find their relationship to be charming. Looks like Poko is a bit of a crybaby though so I hope he matures a bit more. Then again, I think he made a new friend this episode.

This is beautiful. What an amazing episode, one of my favourites this season.

This is gonna focus way more on the relationship of Tawara and Poco, the fact that it's a Tanuki makes it even more sweet.

The discussion between the four at the table was nice to watch, it was so down-on-earth and very realistic.

This is underrated and quite possibly is what Amaama to Inazuma could not exactly be at the end (focused way too much on cooking to be a compelling story, still it got an 8/10 because it was so charming and gave me many hearttouching moments)

I like the interactions between Poko and Souta too much, so soothing x_x and the MC is relatable and Poco is so cute honestly

Such heartwarming episode, it's definetely one of my favorite shows this season...

This show is so sweet & peaceful to watch.
Poko in tanuki form is cute, but a little troublesome.

Poor Souta running into his first love who is now married.
Nozomi was a little rude at the start, but came around in the end.

Poko feeding Nozomi fruit jello & patting her head is the most adorable & cutest thing I've seen today.

Looking forward to more adventures between Souta & Poko. Becoming more like family.

Such an adorable episode. The relationship between Souta and Poko is starting to grow. It was nice to see Souta interact with Rinko. They get along well. Poko also made a new friend with Rinko's daughter. That was very cute. This was truly a heartwarming episode.

This episode was so cute and adorable, Can't help but smile as I watch Souta and Poco.

The opening segment with Poco wailing outside in the rain was just inexplicably sad. :(

I'm glad Souta took Poco in the following morning, It was nice seeing him give Poco a bath and stuff.
Loved the train ride, Very nice scenery and along with Poco's adorable reactions made it really great to watch.
Little flashback about Souta as well.

Loved the part at the restaurant, Poco is so precious. Feeding Nozomi and patting her was so sweet. Honestly that scene was just beautiful.
Kinda amazing how even something like a tanuki can change a person's outlook and experience of life.

I don't particularly find it emotional (yet) but there is a gentle and light atmosphere which I enjoy.
I'm liking how Souta is recalling all these memories through Poko too. Cute stuff.

It's too short~ >< I want more~~

From this episode I feel like something's still lacking although I'm not sure what it is. And based on next week's preview does it mean there will be more interaction between Nakamura Yuuichi and Sugita Tomokazu's character? If yes, then I'm definitely excited~~

Even though the kid looks hardly cute as a tanuki, Souta still takes him in because he feels sorry for the kid who is all alone and is having a hard time just finding food. And he goes shopping for his clothes. I thought that he would find a friend of his in the city and he'd have to come up with an excuse for that. I didn't quite expect his first crush to be there with her kids lol. And he comes up with some random name right on the spot lol. And Nozomi immediately said that Poco's a weird name and sends the kid into depression lol. I liked how Poco was nice to Nozomi even though she wasn't at all. Poco is a good kid.

The time Souta is spending with Poco reminds him of his past. From good memories like those with his family to weird memories like those of his crush and how he got heartbroken after waving to her and then seeing her with her boyfriend, he is remembering quite some things. And people are, from time to time, mentioning his family's restaurant. I wonder when he'll start it up again if he will that is.

This is my first forum post ever on MAL & I've had this account for YEARS. I'm very selective with anime, so I don't watch much, but there's some anime that pop up here & there that grab my attention & I use MAL to keep track of those.

Anyways, I decided to make this post because I see so many people giving some love to this anime that I have to join in on this. <3

I know it's been 2 episodes in, but I am completely in love with this show in all its splendor & adorableness, it's anime like these that give me something to look forward to in my life. It's like a nice break in every day, difficult life... And I'm highly anticipating the next episode.

Poco is such a cute little flurrerkins that if Souta didn't want him, I'd gladly adopt him xD
And I like how Poco's presence is helping Souta get in touch with his past, it's like in a small way, he's unlocking some blockage & changing Souta to become someone better...it seems?
It's like he's Souta's little guide, and at one point, I'm suspecting he'll reopen up the restaurant!

I thought the relationship between Poco & the little girl was so sweet. I mean in the beginning, she was so salty to him, but it's because she wanted attention, just like any kid wants, & Poco gave her that attention & converted her into a sweet friend. =')

ah~ this show gives me life, it's so sweet & adorable, it's my favorite ongoing series as of right now. ^w^
Really can't wait for more! I'm definitely getting some merch....if there is any..... I mean Usagi Drop merch seems quite scarce online......

Souta---Shota---Shotacon

Poco---Poco x Souta---Boku no Poco

Try not to remember that, lol.

---

Immature jokes aside, I really like the blissfulness in this episode. Who wouldn't smile at Poco-chan?

And that OP. I was rocking my feet and teeth so hard. This season has some good soundtracks.

: The goodness continues. It has that bittersweet flavour with sota, but also heart warming & relaxing with poco. The innocence of poco really works great. The humour is low-key and not punch full per say but timed well. The embarrassing memories of sota are a lot I gues lol. Poco & nozomi moments were cute. 3.5/5

How, just how can you NOT melt watching this? When Poco turned to Souta after that little girl pushed him and he started crying - it was just so natural, so real.

It is a bit suspicious though that a man who doesn't have much (any?) experience with children is so good at dealing with them but oh well... who cares xd

This is adorable as always. Poco finally gets his name. I'm finding it funny seeing how he seems to understand when people are talking down on him. Like that moment when Nozomi sneered at Poco wearing the raincoat and him falling down on the ground dejected, I was thinking to myself "Just how does he understand that she's insulting his attire, when he can't even understand the concept of a promise?"

That said, I really love this show for the nostalgia that it evokes when Souta goes on his flashback journeys, and when he becomes all philosophical about life and the past. I feel like I can relate quite well.

This needs more of the Udon though, I thought it was suppose to be one of the main themes of the show.
