| That was really intense and insane, I feel like didn't move on my seat. So that's the Betelgeuse, the sinful archbishop of sloth, Conti, he looks so creepy and crazy, at same time funny, but hell yeah I fucking hate him. I felt like I'm watching a film when the credits have shown while a bgm was playing. That was Puck's true form, he freeze the whole place. Good thing Subaru gone back to his senses and fired up, after seeing twice those horrible corpses, and Rem being killed in front of him, the unseen hand looks powetful, just wondering how he will defeat the Betelgeuse. So eager for the next episode |

| Absolutely phenomenal (and kinda fucked up) episode, heard Betelgeuse was supposed to mutilate Rem's body even more but unfortunately it wouldn't have been suitable for broadcast. Props to Subaru's voice actor though, could really feel the rage. Soundtrack was fantastic as always, credits also gave me goosebumps, with everything slowly being engulfed in the snowstorm. Was that supposed to be Puck at the end though? Sounded like him. Rip Subaru, frozen to death twice in one episode. |

| I think without context, it looks bad. But he died so many times to save her and felt abandoned and unappreciated because she never knew what he had to go through to keep her alive. Most people would have moved on and stopped trying after so many failures. His cracking was inevitable. I forgive him for acting like a douche. But I'm glad his desire for revenge has got the fire going again. I want him to go all fanatical demon on Sloth. That creep has got to go down. |

What he went through in this episode to traumatize him has absolutely no impact on before, so he was just as much an asshole then. Yes, he was traumatized from previous deaths then too, but that would be unrelated to his instinctively self-centered nature which he would've had all along. Hopefully he can start redeeming himself now, but that doesn't change what's happened before Erm yea okay, Lets see how your mental state is affected after dying so many times while experiencing the gruesome deaths of yourself & the ones you care about. RainyRai said: Yeah, but does death PTSD suddenly turn you into a complete asshole which was never even hinted by your character before-hand? No. Well..... I would argue that this side of Subaru didn't come out of nowhere. It was always in the background, and his motivations throughout the show included this side of him. His asshole self just wasn't very obvious until his fight with Emilia. |

He can't give up anymore. Because he's also related to all this. There's no issue with him making use of his ability. It's there for that. If he doesn't have PTSD then he should keep killing himself Edge of Tomorrow/Groundhog day style and actually master a few useful fighting skills before the next horrible tragedy. But he never does and never will. Unfortunatelly for him, power in this fantasy world doesn't comes cheap. Look at what he's having to endure, even being given immortality... And he's been always learning something new in these deaths. No, he won't turn into a Reinhard. Because Reinhard was born that way. All this took a month. He'd need half a year to years to become significantly strong. But this is a supposition. Someone estimated how long Bill Murray was stuck in a timeloop.http://whatculture.com/film/just-how-many-days-does-bill-murray-really-spend-stuck-reliving-groundhog-day If he can reset himself enough he can be a Master of many skills. | Finally! No more ''EMILIA EMILIA EMILIA EMILIA EMILIA EMILIA''-obsession (atleast i hope). And more Rem. More Rem is always a plus. Now, that new villain... Creepy McCreepy pls. So the Witch's 'Generals' are named after the Sins, huh. However... The last 3 Episodes already killed most of my Hype for the Series, and i wasn't as hyped this Episode. It's basically... I mean did we not go through this when the curse killed Rem in Arc 2? Oh wait we did. This. It's still better then ep 11-15 tho. And Mr. Puck(?) All big and scary. As for the Edge, i never really cared about it, so idc. Altough... Puck killing Subaru for EMF dieing.. idk... Fai said: Overall Rem was the saving grace of the episode. Out of entire cast, she remains the most likeable and badass character. This so much. Rem is basically carrying the Series right now. |

| OH MY GOD. This episode was insane. Does this mean that Emilia is the witches daughter!?!? My reasoning for this is as follows= Subaras first trip to the mansion he sees the death of Rem and Ram and then the snowy door before his death. So I assume that is Emilia. Then he dies. Then second time around EVERYWHERE is snowing. Emilia must have out done herself. Or maybe both the ice spells were done by puck. However, then a giant blck thing is there and says "Sleep like my daughter" So assuming that they are talking about Emilia that makes Emilia the witches daughter. How do I know thats the witch you might ask. Because when he comes back the "horrible smell" has gotten worse. We know that she is refering to the witch from earlier so episodes so that means EMILIA MUST BE THE WITCHES DAUGHTER. Does Roswall know? Does Emilia? When Subara puts it together will he tell them? Tell everyone? I'm so excited for this anime it's ridiculous. Not to mention the fight against beleguise or whatever his name is about to happen and you know that is going to be some of the most brutal, emotional stuff there is. |

Yet keeps bringing the same sht. And you should stop giving that excuse. Because it's an excuse. There are definitely shows that are better than others. They perform better in the same aspects. Are we even arguing about this? Laughable. Fai would be what you'd turn into, if you were to disregard people's counter-arguments, due to an inflated ego. It doesn't matter if Fai is a piece of shit who repeats the same arguements and has been debunked by people already Attacking him for his opinions on shows unrelated to this is a dick move no matter what. 'Unrelated to this'? He's been doing that in this series. Lol. He considered it a flaw to have Felix in the show. Because he's a cat girl trope. I think he criticized the other candidates, too. And their speeches. A bunch of things. And they were all justified. That person didn't like Subaru's 'change'. What? I told already that Subaru only behaved more in the issue with the shaman, because it was needed. In the town, he felt relieved, and acted more carefree. The issue with Julius? So that person didn't know enough about Subaru to consider he acting that way? Yeah. But they thought they did. And that it was 'out of character' for him to. Oh I remember their reply to what I said about Felt being a candidate not being a spoiler. Disagreed with. When even the show wanted the viewer to know. They ended with 'Wrong? I've yet to be wrong.' Pfft. Says that person that doesn't reads the source, yet think that they understand more, when understanding even less than many that did not. |

| Damn this was crazy. The part with Rem having her limbs twistes like a doll and then crawling towards Subarukun. Damn that was hard to watch, i literally shouted out "oh shit" repeadedly I had a hard time getting myself into that desperate PTSD damaged mindset everyone said Subaru has. But i think i get it after this episode, holy crap dude cry in the lapse of a woman all you want. I understand now Also im totally on team Rem now, after all what happened shes undoubtedly best girl Maybe all of this is happening because the witch is trying to break him or something? Would be an explanation why she gave him the ability to rewind after death. To make him see horrible stuff, then go through more trauma by dying again and again just to start all over again Also that huge wolf in the end was scary. And then the rolling credits. And then Subaru being covered by snow. What an episode. Ceironftw said: I fcking made a fcking account to fcking express my gratitude for the creater of this fcking god-like anime. On top of that not being able to say anything to anyone about it. Yeah, but does death PTSD suddenly turn you into a complete asshole which was never even hinted by your character before-hand? No. Yea, not being able to tell anyone what's happening to you sure does wonders when someone says they can't understand you. A conflict that was not seriously brought up until after Subaru acted like a giant cunt already. Mickdrew said: RainyRai said: Yeah, but does death PTSD suddenly turn you into a complete asshole which was never even hinted by your character before-hand? No. Well..... I would argue that this side of Subaru didn't come out of nowhere. It was always in the background, and his motivations throughout the show included this side of him. His asshole self just wasn't very obvious until his fight with Emilia. Except he was always portrayed as "guy with no social skills but with kind heart" instead of switching to "idiot dickhead". His obsessiveness can be explained by thinking about it yourself, but that doesn't explain why he's an idiot dickhead. |

Why do you come across so condescending? There's nothing wrong with Subaru having to save the day by recruiting people with greater combat ability than himself. During the first loop even if he had brought someone else it'd have probably been too late. During the second loop he was a mess, he wasn't even able to communicate correctly so there's no chance he'd be able to recruit anyone. Perhaps he'll do so during the third loop, even then, with his knowledge of enemy (around what time they strike) it makes solving it a lot easier. |

This is the problem I have with people claiming Subaru somehow "changed" in episode 13: you're claiming to know who he "truly" was, and that the writers completely changed his character and fucked him up. Isn't it more likely that it was the writers who knew the "true Subaru" all along? If they show that his personality makes him a dick, then he's a dick. You can't pretend to know more than the writers about a character they were writing! |

That's exactly how he's going to save the day. Subaru doesn't instantly come up with a plan. It usually takes him 3+ Deaths to come up with a solid plan. He doesn't have the fighting skills or magic skills to solve the problem so he needs to get people with greater abilities than himself. I'm DESCRIBING EXACTLY what is going to happen. Did I say there is something wrong with him not being the knight in shining armor saving the day at the first attempt? I didn't? Then why are you complaining? I am Literally describing what's going to happen because the show has a predictable formula. |

More importantly. He can learn about political situations/systems and learn how to manipulate and exploit everyone's weakness. Like Batman having a plan to stop the Justice League in case they go rogue A time skip? But he'd only be able to train for a day, every time... We don't know how strong he'd be capable of becoming to want to consider this as a viable option... Eh. He'd struggle just the same. I think the knowledge he's acquiring from taking different routes is being more helpful. And what if he forgets to kill himself one time, and the save point moves further? The source readers should know better. But it'd take a really long time. And he'd suffer, too. Repeating days. Killing himself repeteatedly. And it doesn't appears to be necessary. He only dies a few times before progressing. |

Subaru himself more than anyone knows how powerless he is and trying fight against that insecurity that was made worse by losing to Julius, having his resolve question and no longer having his emotional pillar (Emilia). It's very blunt but some how there who missed these details. |

If he really was such a saint then explain why he didn't choose to help a lost little girl in episode 1 and opted to help Emilia find the insignia instead? Exactly. This is just how Subaru works: - sees a lost girl? Why help her? He's on a quest to be the best in his own fantasy story! - Emilia wants to help the little girl? Help the little girl, and do your best to play with her and look good cuz Emilia is there. |
