Maybe I'm just bad at that? Nah I'm not that bad. But yea... it was short. There was very little gameplay, no puzzles or minigames or anything, just walking and navigating by map and compass. maybe woulda been more interesting if you didn't have magic GPS, but maybe it would have just been annoying as hell. Meh. It was all about the story anyways. So... I thought it was fine... but I can see how other people might not like it. It builds up so much tension, really gets your skin crawling, and then bam, anticlimax. Turns out there isn't actually any consequences to anything at all. It also had a bunch of stuff that really up'd the tension... that didn't quite end up making sense in the end? Like, I don't think they ever quite explained like the fence and shit properly? Stuff like that. But in any case the core resolution I actually thought was fine.... I don't want to call it realistic, but I like how they went for the grounded, simple approach... even though I suppose some people might find it worse and more contrived than what the story had been leading you to suspect with the bleeps and the boops and shit. Meh. I liked it. Kinda think it's a 10 dollar game at most. But the story was compelling enough, the artwork was cool. Even though I paid 15 for it, I regret nothing especially considering how much I've blown on world of tanks. Yeah, there's a reason people refer to it as the "walking simulator." The anticlimax is what really gets me. It just...ends. Fade out. It felt like there should have been more, hell it didn't even really feel like an ending in some regards. I can see what they were maybe trying to do, but I remember finishing the game with a pretty clear feeling of dissatisfaction. And that blows, because you know - I did enjoy the beginning, did enjoy on some level the dialogue between our MC and the woman, did enjoy the graphics and the setting/premise. And you're right that the point of the game is the story, not the gameplay (though I question if the story was given fair dues after that ending) - but at the same time I felt like I didn't enough out of it. There isn't much reward to exploration aside from the pretty views and photos of said landscapes. There isn't much gameplay, period. I don't know....on the one hand I sort of want to replay it and see if it's a different experience but on the other hand...how much point is there to replaying it at all? As I said before -- this is a game that frustrates me. Yea, I don't think it did the best job of tying up all the loose ends, did it? But the fundamental concept of the ending "twist" is not really something I have a problem with. Anyway I just got $69 in government handouts, what game should I do next? The vanishing of ethan carter? BFBC2? .... car mechanic simulator? Twist? What twist? If you mean what happened with the boy, I thought that was fine/made sense/emotionally sound. I'm talking about the actual ending, the one that fades out to credits. That was the weird one. Didn't feel like an ending. It all just kind of...stopped. And fuck I dunno. I can't recommend the Ethan Carter one since I haven't played it. How many games do you own? oooooooooh you mean the part where he just gets on the helicopter and leaves, and not the whole tinfoil hat conspiracy theory thing? i thought it was ok because they just sat and bantered for a while but I can understand wanting a bit more out of it. |

It almost feels unfinished that's how much of a blah ending it is. I understand the game was never meant to be long but....I don't know. I went away dissatisfied thanks to that ending. |

| @TripleSRank I just beat Trinity :D The attempt right before the success I actually died when she had .1% health, apparently you can't damage her at that point and have to wait for another one of her attacks. I wasn't aware of that and was low on health myself so I died :( (plus her remaining health was barely visible I actually thought I finished). Anyway, got her in the next try so it's all good, and did all of it with Bat's form. Definitely my top favorite now xD Overall a very awesome game imo. Too bad the reception is terrible so far, which might kill the chances of a sequel (although Inafune was already planning to make one way before the kickstarter ended so hopefully he'll still make one). I could have sworn I heard the end game credits' bgm somewhere before, but it sounds good either way o.o All it needed was hidden power ups and alternate/hidden routes in stages like the X series and some of the later Classic games. I like the Classic-esque obstacle course stages tbh; I believe this to be something the Classic series always had better than X. The stage feels like an actual hurdle you have to go through, not just a way to bother you before you reach the boss. Seriously I never had as much trouble getting to the boss in an X title as I did in Classic or in MN9, dumb mistakes aside it's a lot of fun. Then again X had those sweet power ups hidden everywhere... Oh one more thing, I also liked how the bosses reveal new attacks as their health gets lower. I think the X series started this in Megaman, but anyway it's cool =3= Edit: Now to finish up the remaining solo challenges and try co-op/race with friends. Then try Hard mode. I'm not sure how many Megaman fans are here but if any of you read this and are on the fence about MN9 go try it NAO. You'll most likely enjoy it, terrible graphics aside. Probably. |

I probably wouldn't have the problems I had before since I'd be installing it on a basically "brand new" PC but eh, only feature I can think of I'd want on it would be the desktop switching, not much outside of that really, and I did prefer how W8.1 looked overall (like icon sizes and stuff, but obviously got used to W10 after a while). Choices choices. cant uninstall half of the bloat and the shit you can uninstall you have to bend over backwards to get rid of never regretted anything this hard would rather deal with counterfeit spam and shit from windows 7 instead I think my experience with W10 might have been different from the real thing in the end since none of it worked (since it's all app based and that stuff broke for me on the second day and I could never fix it, not even simple program notifications on the taskbar ever worked again) so while I was missing features I couldn't tell how bothersome it actually was, only difference from W8.1 was the windows layout and stuff. Paying £100 for it is crazy though lol. |

Okashi said: Yeah people hate them for ruining the X series. Some are more forgiving of X5 but 6-8 are universally hated with 7 being considered the most abysmal apparently (I haven't played it yet). I liked the other three though so idk.Botato said: There's a hate for post X4 titles? didn't know that. Idk, I thought it was tedious, and I never bothered to finish it. This talk sorta makes me wanna revisit the series, so I might try it again. Not sure how when though.Okashi said: Botato said: I did play Megaman as a kid. My favorite would be X4. I totally loved that game as a child. Last one I played was X8 which was a bit disappointing then my love for the series kinda faded away. I don't think I'll get Mighty No.9 though. MegaNep v2 is only 5 days so I would rather save up for that, and I already got Dork Souls. But mainly, because it doesn't interest me. And there's no Zero.I'm not sure how many Megaman fans are here but if any of you read this and are on the fence about MN9 go try it NAO. You'll most likely enjoy it, terrible graphics aside. Probably. I never got the hate for post X4 titles tbh. I was actually shocked when I started going online and discovered people disliked them all over the place. What's MegaNep v2? @_@ Also Zero will be in it, he'll just look different. Zero was Inafune's creation after all, and he really wanted to make him the mc of Megaman franchise hence the Zero series in the main timeline. But is Zero a playable character?! honestly, idk. It depends on whether my love the series would rejuvenate when I revisit the series . Though I say that, but God only knows if I'll do that soon let alone if I'll do it in the first place. Oh, and I meant Megadimension Neptunia V2, which is coming to Steam on July 5th. When I said that I meant a Zero-like character will be added if MN9 grows and gets a sequel(s) :p Though this Ray character sounds promising and might already be exactly that. Oh ok. I thought you were making a joke like you did with Dork Souls. Unless that was a typo, in which case rip. |

QQ IBO has so few direct references to other Gundams I pretty much can't think of an example off the top of my head. It shares primarily stylistic and thematic similarities, so you absolutely don't need to watch other Gundams to dive into that one. |

| Oh also, speaking of games, GameGrumps finally finished their speed run play through of OoT. I didn't really enjoy it as much as I did some of the other games they did. Edit: Basically, moral of the story is either watch them play a game I already played or a game I know will be rage inducing for Arin. Also the less dialogue there is the better. |
