They are both dummies when realizing their feelings for each other though Shimizu finally started to fully realize this episode. |

| To be honest, I wish Shimizu would move on. Her entire plot line is her mooning over Goro. I'd like to see her do some more interesting things instead of just being a walking plot device for a badly written romance sub-plot. |

| I'm excited when Toshi mentioned the Baseball World Cup and the Japan National team!!! This will be interesting since I know that Goro will surely join. But poor Shimizu. Well, that's Goro. Nothing surprising about him. But I love how Taiga is giving his sister a little push. Hehe, I am really excited for the National Team!!! That means that Goro could face Gibson already!!! |

| Ugh, brutal, feel bad for Shimizu, he kind of got her hopes up there but not surprisingly he can literally only think of baseball, any other routes are lost on him (like dating). Although too be fair, it isn't that bad of him to have thought of that invitation as having a deeper meaning. |

| The one thing I hate about Major the most is the fact that everyone has completely forgotten about his dead mother.. They keep photos of his father in every fucking corner of the planet, but his mum? Nope. He visits their grave? Nope, obviously the only one who rests there is his father lol. Hey Shimizu, wanna say hi to my father? Not my mother though, completely forgot about her. Has she been mentioned at all since she died? It was so hard to watch this episode, I was waiting for him to mention his mother, but nope.. Who cares about her. Unimpressed. Also Toshiya got the Rookie of the Year award? Hmph. |

| Oh man, I love Taiga now. He's such a great side character. It looks like we'll finally get to the long-awaited romance this season. That was pretty awful for Shimizu, but at the same time I don't think Gorou can be blamed entirely since he's oblivious and was genuinely trying to help out in telling her she should go alone. I'm really looking forward to this, even moreso than the World Cup stuff tbh. |

| i'm so glad they started the show with shimizu, she always was my favourite character, the way she looke for goro was better than i thought. the pace was actually really good, one of the things that literally ruined the last season was the too rushed pace, if they keep this pace up it will really be amazing season. i also liked how they turned taiga though to be supporting character to have important rule between goro and shimizu. and of course goro will think more about the world cup, but he still a jerk leaving shimizu there, the scene where she left really sting my heart. as for the ending theme, it was really getting back to the second rate ending them from season 2-3. i also have the feeling the art has some huge improvement, and the OST was felt strongly when needed. i really have high expectation from this season from it's story of the world cup, hope they will do it better than S4. |
| Momoko should smack some sense to that baseball-freak for missing his date with poor Shimizu. Interesting start of the fifth season with not only actual romantic development (finally) but also the whole world cup thing with the main goal of beating Gibson! |
