Nice story.

I liked how the emperor was basically telling the Kurogane patriarch to f*ck off with his schemes. Hahahaha

It would have been better to have just one more episode..
I fell like watching grayscale edo's drama in fast forward.
But still manage to wrap it all up in the end so it was good I guess.
Although it feels a bit below expectation for me.. still an okay romcom.
There were a few satisfying fights.

Loved the ending, i really liked how the romance was developed on the series.
This needs a 2nds seasons, 24 episodes if possible, since they have enought material to make one, the tournament arc ended on vol9 and by the time that this series could have a 2nd season, vol 10 will be out (i think that this could be the wedding novel, lol)

This final episode is soooo good... Damnn that proposal, you don't see that now a days.. I have greatly mistaken this anime from the cover, I thought it is just some sh*tty generic harem with a wimpy/dull/player male MC, how wrong I was. This type of anime usually mess up the romance part by going no where but this didn't and was done quite well. Also, the punch from Stella knock the hell out of the old scumbag is quite comical lol (Team Rocket blasting off again...) Conclusion is that I like all the main character, Stella is so cuteee. And Alice is a good Bro(Sis?). Unlike Asterisk Wars which I watched like 2 episodes and I already can't stand it. Although this is not really my kind of anime, I'm surprised that I actually kinda enjoy it.

If Ikki had fought Toka longer he would have lost big time, in his current state he couldn't afford to fight Toka like Shizuku did. He needed to end it right away so it makes sense for Ikki to put everything into one attack.

At least the old guy finally got put in his place, Stella one shots him away.

The call at the end between Itsuki and emperor seemed neutral despite the discomfort from the Emperor. Let them date and live their life and we'll handle things like parents.

The proposal was so unexpected but it added to the awesome romance that anime rarely have. It was so awesome. I'm not sure if there will be a season 2 since it ended well, but I'm hoping there is. This was a great series.

I like the art style they used in the last two episodes, it was an interesting approach. And I haven't seen such a satisfying finale in a while. Plus Stella's "Homerun" with Fatty was epic.

while episode 10 fight is the best fight of 2015 this is still another bad adaptation. Still needs a 2nd season as the following fights in the ln are better so far. Also no Akatsuki cliffhanger.

The final fight was kind of lame to be honest, like really just one big super attack you beat the most powerful person in the school!?!!
although it was expected since if they want to make a season 2 he has to win.

Show was ok though, I enjoyed most of it 6/10

Yeah, it reminds me of this VN I read call mahoudukai no yoro or something, where the big bad got annihilated by a regular county boy's elbow strike when two magical girl couldn't do shit to it. It was fucking lame as hell.

What were you expecting? Ittou Rasetsu pulls out about 100 times his usual power into 1 strike. That's why he's bleeding just from the use of it. Plus Ikki can't fight long range like Shizuku. His only option in the end is still overpower Touka in close range and in 1 attack since if he gets hit by Raikiri he's finish.

Ahh great to see Ikki pull it through in the end, beating Toka. The fight was preeety short, but considering his current state, I suppose he wouldn't have won if he didn't end it in one strike. Seeing all those people cheering Ikki on was also a really nice moment.
Best part was when Akaza was storming towards Ikki but Stella just knocked him out of the way, that bastard got what he deserved, LOL. The confession of the end was just great, rare to find a romance anime with them getting together so early, not to mention Ikki & Stella got some great chemistry going on for the two of them to begin with.

Overall a 7/10, it was cliché but the comedy was good and MCs were all quite likeable, will have to go on with the LN at some point.

I hated the romance part, how ironic for a romance sucker like me. I just dont like the both MCs and the development was fast.

I felt like watching Shana, Mahouka, Index etc etc in one anime. Lol

Should be 4/10 but the last two episodes (thanks to lightning sword user girl) lifted my score to 5.

It all started in an amazing cliche way.... till his sister kiss him on the lips. I got excited cuz it didn't seem to be one more cliche anime among the others.

I was enjoying until episode 04-05.... then.. they suddenly started dating... so fast, well, whatever, this is the minor of the 'problems', let me go right to the point:

The MC which I was liking got boring in my vision. His acts got boring and anti-climatic. His sense of being the perfect good guy became boring. The anime started to get predictable, and despite how wonderful the fights were, it was certainty since the beginning who would lose and who would win, just in sake of the plot/story (for example, Shizuku vs Touko). Shizuku, you just lost due to the 'sake of the plot/story'.

From half of the anime, they completly cut Shizuku and the MC relationship, we couldn't see it anymore, meanwhile, the MC wasn't giving a fuck to what Shizuku was doing for him and her feelings for him.

And then, they added some melodrama to change things.

So, all of this started to annoy me and I started to gradually dislike the anime as conseguence. My enjoyment from a point was affected due to those things, and were accumulating to a point where even in neutral scenes I was still annoyed =/ It's a pitty.

And personal talking, I didn't like the romance here... ask for a kiss from his boyfriend is considered perverted and giving a lame excuse (stats? pride? royalty? there aren't if there is love) to not have sex... how this could had been good?

It started a 8/10, then 7/10, then it ended with a 6/10.

Well, this is just my personal opinion, though.

lol I'm pretty sure Ikki didn't mean to propose to her when he asked her to be his family but what kinda question is that anyway? Also I think that that's the best comeback to those fuckers who imprisoned him. Like, "you don't want me dating this chick? look I just proposed to her in front of thousands of people and she said yes so yeah" haha

But that fight was anticlimactic tbh Shizuku and Toka's fight was way better.

Hmm well, as expected, yet another run of the mill generic adaption that gets put out at least once a season nowadays, cept this somehow felt worse than average...biggest annoyance was skimping on battles for more generic dialogue....gave a whole episode for your standard bikini episode but couldn't give more than 2 minutes of air time the following episode for the fucking student executive fight.

I'm awfully late with this series since I got myself into it just recently and though I posted this in another forum, Mangahelpers which some of you may or might know me from there but just in case you don't, I'm going to post this here too so everyone can get a great understanding of my opinion on this topic.

Hear me out....

This anime made me cry in more ways than one simply because Ikki's backstory is almost similar to mine so i can relate to him...and as a 27 year old guy I'm going to say it out loud "IKKI IS FUCKING ADORABLE I LOVE HIM" I love his hard work, I love his determination to prove everyone wrong, I love that he's not afraid to admit he has weaknesses...I genuinely and unconditionally Love this precious boy.

Stella is one of a kind kind of girl...at first I thought she was stuck up and arrogant but after the first half of the episode, when Ikki told her that "The reason why he couldn't keep his eyes of her was because she was one of the most beautiful thing he's ever seen"...and he's not wrong Stella is such a beautiful girl inside and out, and she's got the heart of gold...this girl fought for him every time and stuck by his side no matter what...She reminds me of Tohsaka Rin from Fate Stay/Night Unlimited Blade Works which to my surprise they turned out to be Tsundere's hahahahahaha.

These two lived on two different world...
Stella was recognised and adored by many and had people worship her, and she hated the attention because she just wanted to prove people that she's no special girl...Yes she's gifted but it's because she has a high combatant abilities as a Blazer and was seen as a genius and Stella hated that she was categorised and placed into a box, so she decided to prove everyone that her abilities were not just stroke of Luck and that she worked hard to get to where she is...and I unconditionally Love her for it...

Ikki was the complete opposite and he had it the worst out of everyone in the roster...his Grandpa loved him and stuck by him teaching him everything he could, and though Ikki had no latent abilities or talents as a Blazer...his family oppressed and suppressed him all throughout his life. They denied him and his existence AND What hurt me most is that he was never given Love by none of his relatives...he had to work hard to where he got and I love him more than anything because had he been real I'd have hugged him just so he doesn't have to feel lonely....(damn it I'm crying right now) I was crying for him all throughout the story and episodes...especially the last few episodes simply because I hated how his own father treated him

Stella giving him a reason to feel proud made me Love her even more when she supported him in his match between Kirihara and her words of comfort to Ikki about "Ikki being her favourite Knight, and that she needs him to stay cool and awesome beside her and to stand up and fight" after everyone laughed and mocked him...gosh I love this girl I really do...The way Stella gave Ikki a reason a reason to Live reminded me of how beautiful Usui's and Misaki's relationship was/is in (Kaichou Wa Maid Sama)

What was recognised in this anime/manga is how gentle Ikki is with others and how mature and respectful he is to the people that matter to him...he could have done dirty things to other main heroines in this story, but he stayed faithful to Stella at all times even when Stella asked him if he wanted to do it in the cabin...he refused her because he wanted to ask her parents permission to marry Stella first before he can do anything, which shows how much of a gentleman he is...and I love him because that's what I would do. Stella's loneliness is felt in this story too and what broke me was when Ikki was take from her and when she returned back to her dorm, she felt that she missed him a lot...(Damn it I'm crying again)...just look at her...

I really didn't give a shit about the incest aspect of Shizuku's relationship wit Ikki...I loved how she wanted to hold his hand and make sure Ikki was never alone or had to feel alone...Had my family treated my sister like she never existed or people neglect her I would give everything that I'd project to my father, mother, brother, uncles, aunts, cousins...EVERYONE'S love to her and only her...I wouldn't care nor give a shit about them. They neglect the one person they should love...so Fuck them I'll give everything to the person they neglect...She's my world and my miracle...Yes it's fucked up how she wants to be by his side but Fuck it let people call me sick/twisted/freak...sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never harm me, not if I allow them too.

I don't think anyone can say NO to this...As sir Mixalot would say "My anaconda's don't want none unless you got buns hon."

We never got to see Stella and Ikki fight in the tournament but I hope they enjoyed themselves and had a blast...these two are so precious to me and I love them without boundaries. Stella met her future King and I'm glad that Ikki found someone who loves him equally enough that he loves her, and she happened to be a Princess...his luck just keeps getting better and better. His father will never have anything to say on what happens in his Life ever again...He's a Fucking pRINCE RIGHT NOW FUCK YEAH...No need for a deadbeat dad who showed him any love or support.

My wish is for this series to have a second season and have it continue...this story is too good to leave it unfinished.

Really loved that episode. That was a perfect ending for the hopefully first season? :D

Poor Ikki was injured and had to do a battle against one of the strongest people of his school. Shizuku had such a hard time and with such a disadvantage normally it's crazy to think you can win. But that was unexpected, Ikki surpased his power by so much that even Toka had no chance.

The only sad thing about it is that we didn't saw anything of the fight. That would have been the peak of epicness :P

Anyways I loved when Ikki asked Stella if she wants to be his family. I think that's where every girl is freaking out. The kiss *.*
Ikki matches each other so perfect. So Ikki is the leader of the six students who represent his school. I'm so glad that he now gets the respect which he deserves. Also seems like Ikki's and Stella's father know each other.

The end was typicall. Shizuku wants to make rules for Stella haha. Would be nice to see a second season in the future. I really enjoyed to watch it.

Overall a solid 8/10 :)

As for this episode specifically, the one slash fight was probably the best part of it. If Ikki won a long, climactic fight against Todo in his condition I would have rated the anime at least one point lower. One of my pet peeves is when an author takes a very specific try hard route in trying to portray a character as badass. They have the character take enough hits to kill 10 normal men, poison him, malnourish him; basically anything to drastically reduce their fighting ability (in theory). They do so much damage to this character (either before the fight or during) that even standing up is a superhuman effort. And then they not only stand up, not only fight; but they beat a very strong opponent who was played up to be a challenge even if they were 100% healthy. The reason this is so fresh in my mind is I recently watched the 2014 FT anime, and there were two blatant examples late in the anime (Erza and Laxus). It's basically a way of throwing all nuance and balance out the window in a try hard attempt to be "epic". It shows disrespect not only to the viewer, but also the previously respected character who loses to a cripple. Now this anime itself had arguable examples of this, like Ikki's fight vs that long range guy. It was under the guise of "I need to take these hits to figure out his magic", but I think they went over the top with how much damage he took (and the fact he was still able to move as well as he did). With all that in mind, I was worried about how they would finish this series. They had created a set up that was hard to escape from. Ikki was put in inhumane conditions for what, 20 days? He was in no condition to fight anyone, much less the strongest character in the school who we had seen destroy everything in her path. I was thinking of acceptable ways this could finish. The two that came to mind were:
- Ikki walks into the stadium and collapses, causing an inquiry into his treatment. Todo gets a very hollow victory (she deserves nothing more for wanting to go all out vs a zombie) and maybe some administrative shit happens and Ikki qualifies for the Seven Stars thing anyway
- Todo decides to forfeit the match because her honor won't allow her to fight a zombie
The one slash fight is still worse than the above two, but it gets a pass mark for acceptability. He uses all remaining energy for one slash and it puts him out of commission for a week. Still a little dodgy he could beat the close range God that way, but it's better than him implausibly winning a long fight in that condition. I can't believe some people in this thread wanted a climactic finish, it just would not make sense.

Anyways as for the series as a whole...solid. It has a nice base. Battle magic school romance thing is far from a unique concept, but I like the fights and the system in this series. I was even curious enough to look up characters on the wiki, such as the "spear guy" who beat Todo. One thing lead to another and now I have a broad knowledge of all the major characters past where the anime leaves off. I don't really care enough about the series to read on, but the main point is the series has a promising base. As for characters, lesee...

Ikki is an interesting case. Personally I would have preferred he have more of an edge to him. I mean he agrees to basically every request someone has for him, no matter how unreasonable. He insists on honor even when everyone around him does the exact opposite, and he won't even sleep with his own girlfriend. A bit too goody too shoes for my taste, but as said I still find him interesting. For a start I find it amusing this series targeted at guys has basically the perfect man. Good looking, strong, absurdly kind and considerate, ect. A lot of the times in anime people complain that a guy isn't good enough for the girl(s) that like him (I usually disagree but that's another story), but here he's almost too good for everyone. He's the level of perfect I would expect from a girl writing a fan fiction where the perfect man falls in love with her. So it's funny to me that a guy like this is the main character of what some would no doubt class as "male fantasy fanservice blah blah". The anime did have that Otome game scene where a character resembled Ikki, he would no look out of place in one of those series as a hero to be romanced. Then there's also the Gary Stu question. He does generally win his fights due to being the MC, but I still lean towards him not being one. He doesn't just blow everyone away, he takes considerable damage in most of his fights (and even outside then), and generally has a somewhat plausible explanation as to why he won each fight. He's not entering my favs list anytime soon, but overall I consider him an above average main character.

Then there's Stella. Being a tsundere immediate puts a limit on how good a character she can be, that's the price you pay when you as an author insist on pandering to a specific fanbase with an outdated archetype. However she is less irritating than most tsunderes, although I'm not sure I can give her credit for this. She's less irritating because Ikki took one for the team and started dating her early on. When a tsundere is in a relationship, by default they become more reasonable. A tsundere complaining that her BF is flirting with other girls is reasonable. A tsundere complaining that some guy she likes but doesn't confess to/barely talks to/regularly abuses is flirting with other girls is absurd. He's single and can do what he wants, it's even worse when tsundere-chan reacts abusively to the guy who is not her BF. That's just one example, but basically every tedious tsundere trait is minimized when they're in a relationship.

I have some other vague thoughts but have already typed up enough, so in summary:
- This anime isn't perfect but was a decent enough watch
- Alice best girl/guy/everything

This anime was good. I have to recognize give it points for having an actual romance (since the beginning) and the action was good. My only gripe is that there were parts that felt unexplained for some reason like/for example - Alice said some words at the beginning of this anime (when he was with MC in the bathroom in the mall) that never were explored… what was the meaning?! Alice concern for Shizuku (to me it seems more than friendship), who were the two girls (showed at the end credits) that are going to the big tournament? The talk between MC dad & Vermillion royalty. It feels to me that there are too many things are unresolved…

If they green light a second season I would like to see fight Parasol-Lady from the student council I think she is powerful AF and more focus in Alice I think he's not telling something especially her behaviors around Shizuku and of course I want to see more action if possible.

Overall this was a pretty fun anime, glad that I decided to watch it!

I lost my shit when Stella rekted the fat guy. She wouldn't had any decent fight in the series, but that was at least something.
The final fight was disappointing, though.

What a Ride!

Im really happy that I started watching but im als really sad that it's over already:/

I wasn't sure if they could fit everything in the last episode but it went really well and smooth:) Maybe a little bit rushed but that's okay:)

Awesome finale Battle! Ikki really has the respect of everyone in the whole school. And how cute of Touka to make him the leader in the upcoming tournament^-^

Overall nice Art,Music,Animation and Story.

9/10
