| Loved the fight even though it was short... And this episode is just a small example for what you're gonna get this arc ;). Also, so far the arc has covered 2 chapters per an episode. If it continues at this pacing, we'll get roughly 8 more episodes. 18 Chapters left from the manga for this arc. |

| Amazing all the comedic fights with Kagura lead to this fight with Sogo and Kamui. Its very fitting. My one complaint is that they seem to keep nerfing Kagura. Maybe that will change now that she'll be fighting other members of Yato clan. |

| SHOGUN KA YOOOO!! That one felt good :) So, was Shige Shige raised as a ninja? But which shogun would let his son go through such a hardcore training? I guess we'll find out eventually. I never thought Okita could give Kamui a hard time. We already knew that Okita was on a superhuman level, but Kamui strenght is just so over the top... It was one badass fight. That make me even more hyped for the Gintoki/Takasugi fight we see in the ED. I really want to see Katsura make an appearance. As a Joi, he will be related to a putch, even if he's not the instigator. |

| Arc is pretty hype Sougo vs Kamui was so good despite getting cut short i always forget how strong some of the characters are till these arcs,was about to lose my mind if he actually lost his arm so quick any hopes for Kagura reunion?. And this already ranking up on the blood/deathcount reminds me of that one part in the Shinsengumi Crisis Arc !. so is this gonna continue into the new year? |

| Fucking epic , The Fight Sougo VS Kamui was too short in my opinion because it was so great i obviously wanted it to last longer . Those 2 definitely are an Epic Match-Up ! I'm still thinking they should've made a new epic opening because this arc is really serious and the opening is quite anticlimactic so it really feels off , it doesn't put me in the perfect mood to watch epic shit , Honestly i'm more hyped by the Ending than the Opening . This Ending + The Previews = Torture |

Either that or Takasugi was wearing serious platform shoes. |

| Dammmnnnn this episode was amazing. Okita vs Kamui was great...and I can't believe Okita came out of it with the upper hand! What a bamf. I agree the reveal with the ninjas betraying each other (?) was kinda abrupt, but I didn't see the shogun being alive coming... I really thought he was dead. |

However, as the series goes on, the bazooka appears less and there are times when he does do his job (Rokkaku and that people fighting arena). And many people of the series has commented on Okita's eyes. The first time I remember is when Hijikata stops Okita from attacking the frog Amanto and says "you're eyes are dilated". Nobume states that Okita isn't a cop but a killer during their first meeting. Kamui also says Okita is a bloodthirsty warrior who is drawn to the smell of battle and that he doesn't care about the protecting anyone. So I find it interesting that during a hell of a villain vs hell of a cop showdown, it is not Hijikata, not Kondo, but Okita to be the one to deliver this line and to represent the police force of this series. Maybe it's character development lol as even though Kamui said he doesn't care about protecting people, Okita is willing to give up his life to protect Soyo-hime. |

| I must say that Okita vs Kamui fight was the best, most entertaining possible matchup of all characters involved in Gintama. While Gintoki and Katsura may belong to a league of their own in swordsmanship, their fights always end up having an unnecessary mix of comedy or too much dialogue. Okita vs Kamui on the other hand was straight up a death match. |

The impact of this phrase is exactly because it was Sougo who said it. And how during the serie many of the others characters see him as an assassin who is a thirsty for blood, but in real he can be a very protective samurai for what is important for him. I think this will show better in the next arc |

Eh, that's a reasonable complaint and one I hope gets clarified through the arc, but it is kind of unfair. The arc has just started and the characters are still defining their role in it. What the series is doing is basically taking advantage of this uncertainty and playing with its cards. At this point of the arc it has the freedom and justification to do so, if it keeps accumulating plot twists once the factions are fully established I would consider this a flaw. Not at the current moment. |
