| Well if you consider what probably occurred, there have to be more players still about in the world, and some are likely to be far better than Ains. Ains himself said that one condition for joining his guild was essentially to "have a life." The game is more than a decade old, and probably has its fair share of popularity- therefore, a decent population of "no-lifers" will exist who spend their real life time on endgame pve and pvp, none of whom would have logged off the game. |

Not really unless those no-lifers were the kids of millionaires. There is so much years you can spend all day in the computer until it catches up at you. Also, I think a big reason this guy was still playing this game was because he had a job etc and he didn't feel he had the time to devote thousands of hours in another such game all over again and didn't want to let go of what he created there. |

The characters class and race is important too, no way an undead will beat an angel of the same level, unless he has legendary equipment. |

| So far the current episodes are satisfying my gore needs, then again, character development has been pretty good, just as in Rokka no Yuusha. I have high hopes for this show and most likely will go as far to read the current volumes of the LNs as I did with Rokka no Yuusha. |

| Man, these episodes just give me the chills. They're so damn good, I'm glad we got to see Ains fight this episode, his magic is so AWESOME! I wanna see the capability of the others though. Sooooo damnnnn nice. I think I'll count this anime as one of this season's best too. |

I mean, the dude's life was completely messed up with and in a matter of days he's ready to take over the world ? I call bullshit. But w/e, i guess it's quite fun to watch. |

This is no longer a game, this is a real world with magic. He doesn't care about going back to the life he's previously had, and most of his time was spent in the game anyways. He only jokingly said the thing about world conquest, but demiurge took him seriously. |

He sais an ominous remark a the end of episode 4, suggesting it might be time for him to make his move. Taking over the world was my interpretation at the time. As to his goal, honestly he doesn't have one. The rare insights we have of his past human self are really disorganized and random, making it hard to discern what he's thinking. Might be done on purpose, but I find it detrimental to his character development. And no explanations whatsoever as to the skills and logics of it. We repeatedly see the guyplunge his hand into a warp in his staff, but never know how comes he has access to what seems to be his item bag... and that's just one example. That's why I say it's entertaining, but not well-thought out, at least at this point. But I guess since the beginning is already quite slow they didn't want to antagonize the action freaks fanboys by slowing it down even more. |

| I've just started to read up on the LN while re-watching the anime at the same time to compare the differences. This concludes Volume 1 after this episode I think... but its safe to say the first 4 episodes have been pretty faithfully adapted thus far. Really only minor omissions, such as it didn't mention them capturing them slaine theocracy guys at the end of this episode and just left it unexplained what happened to them... but overall everything else is mostly there. Thus I am very happy with this anime so far... and will continue my analysis with future episodes with each new volume. :D |

| Well, his new name sure is more imposing. It's like he answered my wish :O Albedo is greaking hilarious. She's getting even more yandere than Yuno. That's some impressive level of crazy. I really would have wanted to see Momomga rekt those plebs, but leaving it to imagination is somehow even more sordid. Also, his speech was awesome. He sound like some kind of powerful cult leader. |

| wow I thought this was solely medieval but they've got gundams as well haha. I like Momonga. He's not the typical protagonist who likes to save everyone and be heroic or whatever. He's op, he's ruthless and he's anti-heroic. Very nice. I'm still pretty confused but I think it's safe to say that that world is not Yggdrasil. I'm not sure why or how but some things in Yggdrasil are also there. I hope to find out soon. |

| This episode was very awesome and Momonga conducted himself with a lot of badassery. Spreading his name in an attempt to connect with other players from Yggdrasil, under the simple guise of world conquest. Not bad at all. However, clearly there is at least one other player or sentient entity who is in this world along with him considering all of the Yggdrasil artifacts and spells that were present. Could this player be someone with a god-complex? If that's the case, then it would make sense that that player would select a theocratic nation as their minions, and their explanation for their unworldly powers could be easily attributed to the descent of a god. Meanwhile, Momonga here is trying to fit in... Considering how there's only 13 episodes, I wonder if the answer will be revealed at all. |
