Fantastic episode, so much better than Asterisk. Actually fairly rare for me to get so upset at an anime, I really want Kihara to die. |

After watching this episode : Matsuoka, I like you know. Forget his role as typical Gary Stu or Hero. After the fact that you voiced a woman in the last season Working!!! and now voicing an asshole is just very entertaining. |

wow. at first i thought this show gonna be like typical bigboobs and loli magic fighter harem anime. looks like im wrong. i love it when the mc are not like most other mc who love to be in harem situation.glad he confessed to her because i love true romance rather than stupid harem which most mc can't even decide which girl he love or he is too clueless about the girls feeling. btw the fighting scene was really cool. |

Also does anyone know exactly why he didn't go steroid mode from the beginning and reduce his vision to increase his hearing or something? Was it because of the wipe out he gets after? Seems a bit silly for him to hold that back even with the wipe out. I know he was planning on just defending a bit until he analyzed the other dude's fighting style but even when he did, he had to know that he needed to use the power up to beat him. I mean from the minute he got hit with the first invisible arrow he should have used it. I guess I can say that the dude was likely panicking but it seems weird to forget he can use that, even if he's under duress. |

After all it's his first official match and the last chance that he can prove himself. Moreover his opponent is also someone who have bad history with him adding another pressure plus Stella who unknowingly add the pressure by placing high expectation of him. Also does anyone know exactly why he didn't go steroid mode from the beginning and reduce his vision to increase his hearing or something? We went through sleepless nights to win science competitions, took bone crushing tackles in spots events but that was pretty much it. There were a few wanna be Draco Malfoys but no magic users obviously. And probably that's why we inherited conscience and heart to respect competitors. There you go. An ideal scenario of real world. Apparently I am from the same place as Yhneiil in that respect. If anything, that crowd was from medieval age and only possible in anime. At least Asterisk touches that aspect a bit and says how ridiculous the system was — allowing students to fight that pleases the masses. |

I read the manga chapter of this which contains more info like the kimono girl in the anime looked like normal while in the manga he wonders how she got suddenly close. Oh and in the manga the enemy is like hiding in a separate dimension while invisible which looked cool because when Ikki slashed him, cracks appeared then the enemy showed as if he just cut between dimensions. skudoops said: Also does anyone know exactly why he didn't go steroid mode from the beginning and reduce his vision to increase his hearing or something?. Did we watch the same episode? Stella discussed that with the other two. |

Nice to see a main lead that finally confess early in the show instead of until last moments. And the girl accept too. There has been lots of generic setting anime with main lead going to special combat school lately like Absolute Duo, Seiken no World Break, and they didn't sell well. Maybe, just maybe, Rakudai will do better in terms of sales compare to it's other cousin. |

But it's important to remember that a movie review is subjective;it only gives you one person's opinion. http://www.classzone.com/books/lnetwork_gr08/page_build.cfm?content=analyz_media&ch=30 It doesn't matter if you like LoGH,Monster etc.If you are a jobless or college/school dropout living in your mom basement, you are still an unintelligent loser. Taste in anime does not make you a better person. If elitist don't exist, casual pleb and shit taste also don't exist. |

Excellent episode, this plot is truly amazing, damn, the scene where Stella screams and encourages Ikki during the battle was more exciting than I thought it would be in the adaptation, really a great scene, and in the end a love confession and a promise, of now on is even more exciting, I'm really looking forward to continue watching this anime which in my opinion is among the best of the season .. |

Going by the end of the first two volumes, it didn't seem like a harem at all. I mean Ikki doesn't show the slightest of interest in any other girls (for example, like the guy in your signature pic *Raku*). Who would tbh when they have someone like Stella? At least the manga version of Stella is at least 10 times better than the anime version of Stella. The Stella of the manga neither slaps Ikki on the bath she entered by herself nor does she throw stuff at him just because he saw her drooling. |

There I said it. not hard to do an adaptation better than ubw especially with Oonuma Shin as director instead of Miura Its kind of funny that I was thinking for last two episodes on how ufo would have done those two action sequences. This episode's for example would be: - Alice's advice and introspection into Ikki would be removed in favor of anime original scene of Stella walking through the school to the match with no narration. - 2 minutes of Ikki staring at the wall. No flashbacks to previous encounters, no narration. There would be a fly on the wall as Ufo's "good enough" to represent tension. - During the fight we would have no idealogue(or commentary by others), Stella then shout some insult, Ikki would scream and would suddenly own the enemy in 2 seconds of bright explosion. The whole encounter would last 1 minute of course. - The episode would end with Stella and Ikki ambiguously shaking hands in he hallway. Makes me really wonder what would have been if: A) Silverlink had ufo's budget and Oonuma Shin was adapting FSN. or B) Ufo gave UBW to KNK5/Texnolyze director Takayuki Hirao instead of Miura. |

Okay what the actual fuck was this shit? I liked the first 3 episodes well enough but this... this duel... is so bad Like seriously he got shot probably 50 times by arrows. There was blood flying every time he got hit, there were holes all over his body, hell he was even lying on the ground in a pool of his own blood at one point. There is no way in hell he should have the slightest chance of winning at that point. Actually he shouldn't even be alive anymore. I just can't accept the fact that Ikki seriously won that duel. That made no sense whatsoever. If he had some healing power or something it'd be one thing but seeing as he supposedly don't... uhm, okay? I'll admit that Stella's public confession and the kiss scene at the end were nice, but by that point I was already way too fucking annoyed at the duel itself in order to really give a damn Meh |

DeadZeroSource said: so the anime adaptation intends to give the sister away to the other guy who is her roommate... seems legit, cause the manga adaptation has a harem tag and this adaption hasn't got 1 on it's tags... cool episode though... What are you smoking? Look again, there is none. |

Also those people telling "generic MC beating generic villain" made me lol...Any fight MC wins will be considered as such by those people with that logic...If you believe people can turn invisible, others can strengthen their body AND you watched that Ikki was nervous as fuck you will be able to connect the dots.... |

But regardless of what the numbers may say, the fact of the matter is he evidentially got really badly hurt or he wouldn't have ended up losing that much blood. You're looking at the cause, not the effect. If you get that badly hurt, then you're in trouble. It doesn't matter how or why that injury may have been sustained; you'll still be just as badly hurtHaXXspetten said: His general output of power is low to begin with (ranked E). Wait till the Seven Star Sword Art Festival, the matches there are even more brutal than this match. |
