| Don't finish it if you didn't like the first part, ignore people above. The first episodes were incredible, but the second arc was a massive drop in quality, no way you'd like that part if you didn't like it to begin with. |

| I probably shouldn't say that, but Death Note is the only show I "dropped". A friend of mine showed me the first episodes, and I never looked for more. Seemed ultra fascist to me, I'd rather read Starship Troopers again for far right-oriented fiction. |

| it's one of these animes that really makes you think about what's happening if you ignore the anime for 1 min your mind would be fucked, i used to be like that when i was like 11 you probably like animes that has tons of blood scenes and badass fights, then death note is not for you. |

The show from what I've seen (5 or 6 episodes, can't remember) seemed like a huge power fantasy for teens. It fails to question the MC's actions and seems to adhere with Light's concept of justice. AT LEAST Heinlein's Starship Troopers tries to reason with the reader. |

| It tries to go for the Grey Morality thing - is it wrong to kill criminals so swiftly? It has the cool structure of 'guy helping the people who try to catch him' which can lead to some fun mind games. I loved it back in the way. Nowadays I'd find it has too much build-up and not enough payoff. Still, it's a pretty great thriller. |
