Discussion forums are for everyone, but if you have to criticize something, at least offer some good arguments. Non Non's comedy is good, but the show strongest point is not the comedy (if I want comedy, I'll go watch Nichijou) .It's the atmosphere of the show, created by excellent art and sound direction. And this episode proves exactly just that |
| It's so good to see the cast of NNB once again. This summer has now gotten a lot better! =D Assuming people already know this, but this episode is set prior to the start of season 1, with Renge joining the school as a first grader, gaining her recorder and Hotaru only just moving into her new home with her family. The art and scenery of the show is just brilliant. Listening to the girls singing the school's ceremonial song while the show cycles through the scenery was pure excellence. Overall, the episode was great and I'm already looking forward to the next one. =D |

| I love the summer 2015, because he came back Non Non Biyori! Yay! Episode genuine and fun, really well done in terms of designs and scenes, only flaws in the CG meeting them sometimes. No frills narrative and almost always Renge centric, but I liked the same. Cute soundtrack. Funny joke about the Haute Couture. LOL Mizeteo said: This show is really good for my heart. I agree. P.S. | Wow, NNB is as good as ever. Never stop giving me the HEALING! As usual, visuals are damn beautiful as ever! Ren-chon's never stop making me smile! Dat haute couture is my favorite part! xD So.. Since Hotaru's not at the school yet, that means this episode is prequel to the first episode of S1? Didn't realize that until the end... I'm looking forward for this show to heal my HP every week. |

| I only watched the first season last year but the nostalgia hits me like a truck. This and Working makes my summer (since Charlotte fell through) Lucasloco91 said: Nano.RIP Ears strikes again. Ugh yeah, the one downside, but it's not as annoying this time as it was in Hanasaku Iroha or even season 1 of NNB. EDIT: And that makes me sad, because I fear I will eventually get used to their music :( |

| I find the show oddly depressing. A large school building in which only 5 students go (and it would have only been 3 last year), it's just so empty and lonely, disconnected from the world. The sort of place where an apocalypse could hit the rest of the world and nothing about their lives would change. But then that's Non Non Biyori for you. I am convinced that this won't be able to pull the weight of 2 seasons, since it barely got by with 1, but I'll try to keep an open mind. |

| My god it is so calming and cute. I missed it so much. Opening and ending are great. I laughed when Hikage left her cell phone xD. Sadly there was no Candy Store but hopefully we will se her next. And I didn't know it is flashback until very end, I hope we will see now present. |

She makes simple observations that, when combined with her expression, the music and the mood of the scenes turn into something bittersweet, sometimes a bit depressing or melancholic. But she's still a child and not a sage making deep observations. |

| As always I am worried the second season could not reach the level of it's predecessor, but tears of joy were wept when it gave me the feeling and the laughs of NNB again. It's still only the first episode, but I got a good feeling about this! No Nyan-pasu yet, but references to the first season like the thing breaking through the floor or Hotaru's mom calling out for her were there so I'm satisfied. This being a prequel episode, I actually had hoped it would continue after season 1 ( and I still hope it does at some point...), but if it's good and funny all over again I most certainly don't have a problem with it covering the same year again! |

| Am I the only one who thinks this will be like Season 1 but told through Renge's perspective? Well if that's the case, I'll take it for what it's worth. (Renge was the best part of the original to me, though no "Nyan-pasu" yet sadly) Back to the actual episode, I do like that it acts like the prequel to the first episode of Season 1 with some new jokes thrown in. Still gave me the warm feel the last season brought me, which is also good. |

| I'm happy this exists and that I had missed the show. I had negative thoughts running through my head, and the moment I started the episode, it all went away. It's beautiful. I want a daughter like Renge. Everyone seriously needs a Renge in their life. |

| Renge-centric restart? Why?? It's not like it was needed. I am glad they're back but... what about their trip to Okinawa, did they really scrapped their OVA cliffhanger? Right now, I think 1st season was better. While this first episode was kinda nice it was also full of boring scenes at the same time. |

| There should be more anime like that, really. This is what the industry is lacking: heart. And Non Non is full of the latter. Renge healed my heart so much is unbelievable. |
| Good to see this series return, even if so far I don't feel it has quite yet maintained all of the charm of the first season. However, I'm sure that will be remedied within an episode or two. Also, I can't say that I really like the OP, especially compared to the OP of the first season. |

| The second season is neither a sequel nor prequel, because the setting repeats itself and doesn't go ahead. The manga does it too. This episode was a 'prequel' but we will see the rest as just individual episodes with the timeframe 'in between' the episodes of the first season. |
| One of my favorite shows is finally back. I kinda surprised they make the 1st episode set before the 1st season. glad Renge still cute as ever. and also Nii-chan practically still invincible to anyone except Natsumi LoL,though it's cool when he was shown smiling when welcoming Renge at entrance ceremony. can't wait for next episode. |

| NGL I was a bit confused about the timeline when I started watching because I didn't really get the whole literal "repeat" they were doing, but when I got it was like OHHHH OK! But beyond that, I loved every minute. It will be fun to go back and watch episodes from last season and see the crossovers. |
