This anime was everything K-on didn't have (and needed). Anyway, a band club coming together from shambles and shining through their upheavals with sheer effort. Pretty touching. Besides the story, the series was well animated and the music was great. This is what KyoAni is about right here. |

Resume I do not know why people still send Reina and Kumiko, the last episode is an exact copy of the last chapter of volume 1 Light Novel. 1 Light Novel. Each volume of Light Novel, there is a deuteragonist different , that plays an important role in the life of Kumiko. Volume 1 - Reina Volume 2 - Mizore Volume 3 - Asuka Reina only have relevance in Volume 2 for the plot of Taki-Sensei. Reina becomes jealous and obsessive regarding Taki-Sensei, the past Reina and Taki-Sensei is revealed, and Taki-Sensei telling the Reina about his dead wife, the jealousy crisis and obsession of Reina for any woman that comes close to Taki-Sensei. If we have a second season, it would be an adaptation of the second volume of Ligth Novel. Mizore takes the place of the Reina and becomes deuteragonista in the second volume 2. The volume 2 is the one that contains the largest number of yuribaits, ie they occur between Kumiko and Mizore. The focus of volume is Mizore, special moments and dialogues important and take place between Kumiko and Mizore, and most importantly the yuribait occur between Kumiko and Mizore. Reina also does not have much relevance in volume 3, except his confession to Taki-Sensei, the volume focuses on Mamiko and deuteragonist is Asuka. Even if KyoAni, do not create a second season or a movie, can be to leverage the sale of novels. And the end so you will know by reading the Ligth Novel. Volume 3 [*]Reina details that she came to North Uji because of Taki-Sensei and that she loved him in a romantic sense [*]Shuichi tries to grow closer to Kumiko and nearly confesses to her the night before their final concert [*]Shuichi gives Kumiko a hair decoration that’s shaped like the white flower Taki gave his wife before he proposed [*]Reina yells out “I love you Taki-sensei!” after the final concert when all the bands/mentors are being honored [*]Taki takes it as a sign of respect and honor rather than a sign of romantic interest [*]Asuka mentions the hair decoration on Kumiko after her graduation ceremony and asks if it’s from her “boyfriend”. Kumiko stumbles and eventually says yes. Kumiko confirms his feelings for Shuichi. 「私も、秀一のこと好きだよ」 …but also refusing to turn down her offer of kindness, Shuuichi reluctantly wrapped it around his neck. Whether or not it was from Kumiko’s own body heat, its fabric had roughly felt warm to the touch. “It suits you.” She laughed in a somewhat curious way, and then suddenly placed her hand on his shoulder. Pressed against such force, Shuuichi spontaneously tilted his body towards Kumiko. The lifting of her heels had playfully come into sight. Kumiko stood tip-toed and she held her hand close to his ear, with her lips following suit. This froze Shuuich’s body in place, even while his heart was bouncing — with Kumiko ever so close to him, Shuuichi found her presence difficult to ignore. Kumiko’s voice had flowed, with the sigh of her breath tickling his ears, and the sweet fragrance of her shampoo striking his nose. Shuuchi did not move, but he was absolutely certain of the words she had just imparted to him. “I love you too, Shuuichi.” Kumiko and Shuuichi is the official and canon, romantic couple of Hibike! Euphonium created by Ayano Takeda. |

@peidoce Yo might want to put some spoiler BBcode in there dude. Some people would rather read the stuff themselves rather than be spoiled beforehand. Yeah a season season would be great. The ending, while solid, felt like leaving so much more of the story adapted. |

The ending, while solid, felt like leaving so much more of the story adapted. Unfortunately the sales number of blu-ray is very low, the maximum we can hope for is a film on the fourth novel. The new deuteragonist, appeared just a quick scene in this episode. The episode 13 was a faithful copy of the last chapter of volume 1 of light Novel. taking the modification of episode 8, and the original episodes 11 and 12, the others similar to the chapters the Light Novel. Congratulations to KyoAni to follow the novels, using the ethics and respecting the author's original work, Which has worked hard on her creation. And nothing better than to end the anime like the end of Ligth Novel Congratulations to KyoAni to follow the novels, using the ethics and respecting the author's original work, Which has worked hard on her creation. Usually, I'm with the majority for SoL anime. But this time, I really found Hibike so so. There isn't a character feel attached to and I didn't really felt engaged to the story itself. But I will watch season 2 if they will expand Shuuichi and Kumiko's relationship. |

A fairly predictable ending, I wasn't sure if they were actually going to go to nationals or not. I find it very unnecessary that they had to cut away from the music we've been waiting all season for to inner monologues and cut aways to characters not playing. We should've been able to completely focus on the music in its entirety. As for the show itself, it was really mediocre. Coming into this I had high expectations, especially with KyoAni's previous works such as Chuunibyou and Amagi. But this just fell short. Characters ranged from meh to terrible. In a drama, one of the key components is to have characters that are likable and ones that you want to support. Characters here just came off as annoying, stupid, awkward, or just plain unlikable. The only likable ones were the two comedy relief characters who are MEANT to be liked, and Taki-sensei. As for everyone else, they were just too awkward and unlikable to want to get behind. I get adding relationships to a story can help add more to the show, but they need to integrate them way better than how they did. The relationships were handled in such a poor and amateur way. Instead of adding, they detracted from the story. In fact, they actually stopped the story every time they came on screen. Specifically Kumiko and Reina's relationship, it was so one-sided and awkward. Hell, it never even fully resolved to what the hell it even was, it literally flipped back and forth and showed extreme inconsistency. Art and animation go without saying, it's KyoAni. This could be KyoAni's most aesthetically beautiful work to date. Overall, I think this was a misstep on KyoAni's climb to glory, as their previous works in Hyouka, Chuunibyou, and Amagi were all excellent, but how they handled this it merits nothing higher than a 6. Hopefully next time we just get an Amagi sequel instead. |

KyoAni have to get to approval by Kadokawa to make a second season I like the comment because it's something actually measured for a Kyoani series which is something I just don't see a whole lot. Always like reading refreshing opinions on things that tend to be too lopsided one way or another for the most part. Also the sales for this show really aren't all that low by the standards of the anime market in Japan. It's extremely small and ever shrinking lately as I've mentioned. 6.5K in Spring first week which is actually typically one of the big fiscal quarters along Fall was more than enough to nicely slot it into 4th place for 1st volumes at least for the time being. That's how small that market is. If this were the video game or music market in Japan that would be absolutely dismal, but this is the premium Blu-Ray anime market. I honestly think people let outliers like last Springs Love Live or looking forward the upcoming Uta no Prince fool them too much. Anyway yeah video game and music market, there's a reason why anime are trying to piggyback their releases on top of those markets with some recent stuff like iDOLM@STER and the upcoming God Eater. It just has so much more potential. Like why make an anime adaptation of something like SAO when you can make the video game adaptation and have it make way more money for your company like what happened recently. Yeah people think the sales for the anime were good, but how many people saw what the recent game Lost Song just did. |

Perhaps some fans will rate the anime higher once they re-watch the whole anime again. I am just returning after having seen the first two episodes again and now the final episode seems like the best thing I have seen all year. To me, it's been the best anime of the season [enter Oregairu Zoku, Kekkai Sensen, Shokugeki no Souma etc.] and certainly way better than Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso which happens to share all the genre Hibike! is about yet couldn't pull me to the characters the slightest even though it dealt with supposedly greater drama and revered as one of the best things ever by fans. |

Could you think of any possible way to sound more over the top and try to put down other shows in the process any more? Wait don't answer that, I already know the answer. Seriously never got the need for this sort of...what almost looks like competitive fanboying, but then again I come from a different background than most. That's something really unique to anime fandom I find especially when it comes to Kyoani stuff, something else must be put down in order to appreciate something else, it can't just be appreciated on it's own. Good luck finding that next level in any case, I'm sure you have it in you. Might I suggest something like trying to find a way to argue it for the best anime of all time, or perhaps there's several stops to get there so you can just work towards some sort of for the decade thing, then work your way to top 5 all time first. |

I think the thing about Hibike is that it actually makes you want to rewatch it. I only started watching after they aired the 5th or 6th episode, but as of this post, I've already watched every episode, bar 13, at least 3 times. There's just something about this show that is both lighthearted and entertaining at times, not to mention the visuals for both the characters and scenery are absolutely stunning. The characters, despite some people complaining about them, are real and relateable (unlike ones in Amagi or Chuunibyou, who are excessively out of whack most of the time). This show does well in stirring up emotions, and sticks to it's overall theme about Band and Music quite well. All in all the easiest 8/10 I could give in a long time. And since I really don't care who Kumiko ends up with, or even IF she ever ends up with anyone, I would love to see a second season of them preparing and competing in the Nationals. Also, that picture that Taki was holding was totally his wife. The lady had a ring on her finger there. |

This. That! Kyoani should cut the cancer, the famous school waifu moeshit. Pretty girls doing cute things. Damn when KyoAni will make a school anime, with both sexes have the same , importance and relevance, and characters of both sexes have dialogues and interaction like a school in real life. What the hell , will be that KyoAni producers never visited a school in real life. They should know that both men and women have the same importance and relevance, the dialogue and interactions, friendships and romances between people of opposite sex exists in abundance in schools in real life. Face this colorful world, where only one of sexs has importance and relevance is totally false and makes them strictly children's anime and unreal. |

Not bad. They finally got the gold. Everything was portrayed pretty realistically. More yuri baiting of course. 6/10. Not bad, but not great. Pros: - realistic (to a degree) - good art - good OST - Reina - Taki Cons: - Loads of shit characters with shit personalities - Show didn't really get past its rocky start until about halfway through - yuri baiting - Still KyoAni Wipu said: Lichtspiel said: Was that Reina on the picture on which Taki-sensei was looking? I don't think so, Reina has got different eye color. Girl on photo looks young, maybe daugther of Taki-sensei, their eye color matches. It's his dead wife rsc-pl said: I didn't expect that it will be that good in general. Amazing animation and art, definitely the best in this year and maybe even past years. Everything was beautiful, they showed how computer graphics should be used. No VISIBLE awful 3d models/objects, great shaders and effects. If all studios would be using CGI in this way, than I wouldn't mind it at all. 8/10 I'm not going to say it was bad by any means, because it wasn't. But the art was nowhere near the BEST this year or recent years. It was visually pleasing, but no better or worse than any other KyoAni work. Hell in the past years I can think of shit tons of anime with better visuals: Nagi no Asukara, Shirobako; anything from PA Works, Shaft, or Wit in the past 2 years had better visuals. Whether or not those shows were good or bad is an entirely different discussion. |

I see her on a slightly off white top and ocean jade skirt (assuming it's a skirt) with a camel brown bag on her shoulder. She is holding a slightly pink red note on her left hand against her chest with a silver ring on her ring finger. She is sitting on her heels, holding flower towards probably Taki-sensei when he captured the moment. I think her getup indicates she is at least in college or university. Kumiko stood tip-toed and she held her hand close to his ear, with her lips following suit. It's an entertainment and has the target audience. And about your imaginary "colorful" world, it's pretty realistic that those band clubs have more girls and sometimes have no boys. You must have watched colorful HBO shows too much I guess. |

It could be a engagement ring rather than a wedding ring. They might have been a couple when they were still students. Red school uniform? What red school uniform? I see her on a slightly off white top and ocean jade skirt (assuming it's a skirt) with a camel brown bag on her shoulder. She is holding a slightly pink red note on her left hand against her chest with a silver ring on her ring finger. She is sitting on her heels, holding flower towards probably Taki-sensei when he captured the moment. I think her getup indicates she is at least in college or university. Going into the adaption, I didn't really know what to expect from it. And I was honestly both a bit surprised and pleased with it. Strong characters and good music really made this a fun viewing. I would be more than happy to watch a second season. 8/10 |

This would be a perfect anime if it had fallen into the hands of another company. Example P.A Work, which focuses more on story and plot, besides not appeal for fanservice, yuribaits and fushojibaits, that is the hallmark of KyoAni in recent years. |

I always had high hopes for Hibike! ever since they announced it; the promotional video was captivating enough for me not just because I am gay for KyoAni. My initial thought was the main girl and the teacher will become a thing. Obviously I was interested because at that time I was (actually still am) reading two manga that deal with student teacher romance. And yes, by main girl, I meant Kumiko, even though it turned out to be Reina. Second episode onwards I rooted for Shuuichi and Kumiko, without any knowledge of the novel. Shigatsu isn't worth any benchmark for me. Except for probably the music. That was the only thing going good for that anime overall. The last episode was good though (which is why I rated it higher than I should have). |

Taking japan, search filarmonica orchestra on the website are all composed mostly of men, istrumentos as Trambone, saxophone, trumpet, tuba, are played mostly by men, because they pectoralis major, and more resistance, which helps in prolonging notes, and a better trimbe. Women in philharmonics orchestras choose istrumentos as piano, violin, double bass, flute, oboe, Clarine instrument lighter blows that do not require extreme effort. Guess who responds best to Bonnie Raitt, the only woman in the list of the best guitarists of all time, when asked for her because she was the one, she said that when she started, assembled a band only women with her friends, but as they were getting interested more for the music lovers who, only she continued with the instrument, she even said that when her friends were going out with their boyfriends always left the bags with her, because they knew that when they return to Bonnie yet there would be training with his guitar. Did you see the musicians who recorded that made the recording of Hibiki instruments. Fantastico right who played the trumpet Reina was a man, very realistic. Fantastico right També who plays tropete Kaori was a woman, very realistic. Did you see the difference in who won the competition, held because more and vibrates more notes. |

First, it's not a "music school". It's just another high school with a band club. A club activity is an extention of school life, social relationship (friends) and hobby. Of course some of the kids will be serious about it and try hard. That being said, it doesn' matter if a certain instrument is better for girls or boys. It's always gonna be the venting of youth and passion, not a road to a professional player. Secondly, there is dumb general gender "image" or prejudice for activities. That's why (Japanese) boys won't be much interested in joining such club, they will go for playing guitars or drums instead. Maybe they could join a club for some girl they have a crush on, so usually, the original reason to join will mostly be not about the music itself. Lastly, once it's set that a club is full of girls, boys will be reluctant to join the club because boys are dumb and shy. |
