Personally for me, it depends. Some filler is actually pretty good but some just sucks...

Always, because they are just as much a part of a series as the 'canon' episodes. Its the main reason why I dropped Shippuden.

Nope, why watch something you dislike that has no impact on the story? that's just masochism and a bit of stupidity.

Yea, i do, but with a more laid-back attitude. After all, how do one rate an anime just based off certain episodes?

Sometimes when they are great like Gintama's and One Piece's.
Avoid awful ones like some of Naruto's.

Of course, you can't say you watched the anime unless you watched every episode. I watch all of the filler the first time I watch a show and it contributes to how I judge the anime, with filler it's things like where it was located and how it worked with the setting/characters/timeline, how good it was, etc. Only during rewatches will I skip some filler(only really if I dislike the episodes). Filler can be good or bad, it can enhance a series or ruin it.

Well... If you're watching an anime what isn't exactly new (Lets say Naruto) Then you can sort of check on websites to see what episodes are filler or not.

It definitely depends on the anime and how good the fillers usually are. Some fillers are quite good, some are quite bad. That said, I can often enjoy a lot of filler episodes, even despite the rapid hatred most people tend to have for them. I for instance enjoy One Piece fillers an awful lot (though One Piece doesn't tend to have a lot of them, I feel).

Sorta, because I don't watch a lot of SUPER long anime, so I don't have to encounter it too often, but I really don't like it and if I had to rewatch the few long-running anime I'd skip all the filler.

Naruto-amounts of filler episodes have no place in an anime. Ever.

I watch every episode.

A: X is the best anime ever. Rate 10/10.
B : Are you serious? That part where "zzz" sucks.
A : Oh, that part? I don't watch it so it doesn't matter. Still 10/10.

Obviously, yes.

I don't like filler, but if an anime has that kind of episodes, they have to be watched. They are part of the anime, in the same way as the original ones. That's the reason why I've not seen animes like Naruto, Bleach...

If I watch an Anime that I enjoy, I'm going to watch every episode, regardless of filler. People who skip "Filler" are just as bad as speed readers who skip words when reading a novel.

I like to enjoy every moment of an Anime, and not miss a thing.

Only if the percentage of filler in the anime is less than 25% (I kind of messed up by watching the Sailor Moon fillers though).

Sometimes they're good, so Yes.

The other reason it that you don't really know It's a filler until you've watched it.

The only anime I've seen so far with horrendously unentertaining fillers was Ergo Proxy.
And I watched them because I didn't know at the time if there's be some important plot points tucked in there that I'd miss by skipping and I only realized a few minutes into the episode(s) that they'd be pointless.

What fillers were there in Ergo Proxy? The game show was extremely plot relevant with some blatant foreshadowing.

I think you're mixing up filler definitions. Are you using it for stuff that wasn't in the original source or stuff that doesn't affect the main plot or the characters?

If I plan to add it on this site, I will since I'm OCD about the episode count/number of days not matching what I've truly watched. If it says that something is 150 episodes and there were 50 episodes of fillers, I still need to see those 50 episodes before I marked it as completed.

I define a filler as an unnecessary episode.
One which, if removed, will not impact the overall plot.

There are at least 2 episodes in Ergo Proxy that can be removed without breaking the story.
They are effectively a "waste of time".
(Don't ask which ones - It's been a long time since I watched that show and I don't plan on re-watching it.)

Regardless of whether it was inserted to "fill" an extra episode, or transferred from the source where it was inserted to "fill" an extra chapter - It's remains a filler because of its redundancy.

I do. But i could imagine that i might skip some fillers, i usually do if i rewatch a long running show. But i agree that you can't say that you've watched a show by skipping the fillers as well, they're a part of the show, and people should really give it a shot before ignoring them completely.
