Looks like Yuyuyu average will be off 10k mark I dont know much whether Oricon has a problem with Gundam G sale or not, since SS gave much higher value. But seems that Gundam G wont get through 10k line So this Fall may only have 1 show above 10k, and its F/SN |

Good to see Cross Ange and Amagi Brilliant Park selling well. Go Ange my girl. |
But it's important to remember that a movie review is subjective;it only gives you one person's opinion. http://www.classzone.com/books/lnetwork_gr08/page_build.cfm?content=analyz_media&ch=30 It doesn't matter if you like LoGH,Monster etc.If you are a jobless or college/school dropout living in your mom basement, you are still an unintelligent loser. Taste in anime does not make you a better person. If elitist don't exist, casual pleb and shit taste also don't exist. |

I think he means the music CD ***** Most of Winter anime is up on Amazon now, and the selling one mostly are sequels. This season is crazy. Well its legit cause nobody will buy an anime after just watching 1 episode. But it seems that theres no future for anime below 4k rank |

Hoppy said: Slow week for BD/DVD sales The Cinderella Master cds are selling though but the preorder rankings for the anime are insane, it even sunk Kancolle. Care to link where the anime has been solicited? I don't mean the Animation First Set BDs, but nevertheless, IM@S Cinderella Girls has been tipped as the only anime in 2015 Winter that has a chance to beat KanColle, as Kuroko no Basket Season 3 will probably have the normal sequel drop again (S1 to S2 was 24,459 to 18,555, a drop of 24.1%), and Durarara!! x2 Shou will have to not suffer the normal sequel drop (only 23 anime out of a sample size of 100 has not dropped in average from S1 to S2). Both those 2 would have to sell significantly higher than their previous seasons. If there is a dark horse in the midst that can sell like Madoka, then it will deserve to be the best seller for 2015 Winter. It's just KanColle is dominating at storefront (Animate, gamers, softmap, HMV, etc), so its Amazon ranking looks pretty tame at the moment. But it did start out very well in the first week it was solicited at Amazon (20 days before ep1 even aired). Also, 3 to 4 episodes hasn't aired yet, so i'm pretty sure there are many people still sitting on the fence, pondering whether it is something they want to own or not. |

It's not a sales ranking though. It is based on the volume of tweets that have used the appropriate hashtags to identify which anime it is about. I have found the website, where the yaraon image was taken from. The image is strange though, I would've thought that KanColle would have a previous day ranking since it aired 2 days earlier than Im@s Cinderella Girls, but the yaraon image indicates no previous day ranking. It makes sense for the weekly ranking i'm about to post because it couldn't have ranked before Jan 4th, since the first broadcast was on Jan 8th. Here is a more updated ranking: http://i.imgur.com/VmKBbFT.png This shows that 9,775 people made 117,168 tweets (11.99 tweets/person), and 10,347 people made 98,981 tweets (9.57 tweets/person) for IM@S and KanColle respectively. Still not quite sure how those pts number is calculated though, but could be based on the number of tweets and a few other metrics. |

Thanks for clearing that up, and yeah that BD image for Cinderella Girls is dubious, I've been looking for a better resolution image of the cover since 12 in the morning can't find anything on that cover before I went to bed an hour later. It's either a leaked cover or a very good fake. |

Yaraon can be an interesting blog as a first stop for breaking news, but they're kind of like TMZ in that the double edged sword is they LOVE to stir the pot. In this case the website seems to be deliberately trying to generate click bait by sicking iDOLM@STER and Kantai Collection fans against each other as to which had the more popular first episode. It would not surprise me if they deliberately left out the information as to Kancolle getting a ton of tweets as well so as to make it look like iDOLM@STER which was the more recent airing at that time was way more popular so as to set people on a blood frenzy and by the looks of how large and pointless the comment sections for those articles worked it looks like it paid off. Interesting to know that Kantai Collection really isn't that far behind iDOLM@STER at all in terms of tweet generated and even exceeds it in terms of number of unique users tweeting about it. Interesting also to see how strong Love Lives profile remains on twitter despite not airing a single episode in almost half a year now. One thing I've learned is never count out idol fans. Not sure if people have ever seen the infamous pictures of a guy getting a receipt for 50 copies of the same Love Live disc or guys like this who will plunk down the equivalent of $425 USD (50,000 yen) just to get one ultra rare card of their favorite idol waifu in a cell phone game. The reaction he gives 7:35 when he finally gets it and just desperation and earnestness in his voice leading up to it says it all. That was 110% totally worth it to that guy and I just don't see how you compete against that level of obsession unless somebody can show me an equivalent from Kantai Collection which is supposed to be a popular collect all the waifus game in it's own right. |

I already know this. I play Sukufesu, lol. It is due to how difficult it is to obtain the currency required to obtain cards in each of the games. In Sukufesu, you need at least 5 loveca stones to have a chance at obtaining SR or higher, but it is better to use 50 loveca stones to get 11 draws (and also have a guarantee of at least 1SR). I am pretty sure the BD discs were not bought for the UR cards, as you can get what you want with 1 copy, so that's not a good example to give. It was more for the event ticket application in the 1st BD. This is different with the CDs, are there is a random selection in a pool of cards. I have seen many videos of people spending 3,000 loveca to get 2 UR cards, which is around $1,750. In KanColle, the same currency gained from playing the game is used to obtain rarer ship girls. However, one update that was implemented where you can marry a shipgirl and be able to increase her level to triple digits (with a max of 150). This brings in more revenue that before, but I still think KanColle is being run at a loss (since the player base number is still limited by lottery). In my playing experience (I have or is still playing both) it is much easier to gain the currency required in KanColle, hence less money is needed to be spent in game. EDIT: Just saw that you mentioned waifus... well yes there are some obsessive guys who want to get their favourite girl's UR card, but there are also many female fans who spend thousands on Sukufesu too. There was a poll done for the gender of Android users before which ended up with a result of 46.1% female, with a sample size of around 700,000. That is when the total player base was between 5 to 6 million (5 million was reached on Oct 5, and 6 million on Dec 4). I haven't seen a poll done for iPhone users, but it would be interesting to see what the gender split is there. And then the 2014 cosplay costumes ranking at COSPA had the Love Live! School Uniform as #1. It really is a popular franchise amongst both genders. Female fans find the clothing in Love Live! cute and also like to sing and dance to some of the music and MVs, so it's no surprise it is so popular amongst the cosplay community. KanColle is also incredibly popular amongst cosplayers. |

It's ridiculous, I can't see myself even today plunking down the equivalent of the cost of 5-6 much less around 10-15 import games just to get my favorite character, that's BD/DVD prices and it would be a better investment to buy the BDs/DVDs if the series had them at least you'll get a better chance of a second season, films, non-BD/DVD bonus OVAs, or all 3. It's a wonder mobile games are even popular in Japan nowadays being so cost prohibitive to get any enjoyment out of them unlike the games on feature phones of the past in which quite a few kicked ass and are even being ported today (and have been ported in the past with nice results). |

I definitely did not expect Yuuki Yuuna to be the highest selling anime thus far for Fall 2014, how did it.. Same goes for Cross Ange, Shirobako, and Gugure. |
