Just finished this series, I really enjoyed it! Although- I would have LOVED at least one intimate moment between Sana and Nanaka. Don't get me wrong, there was plenty- But I would have loved one kiss... I was really scared to continue this series because so many people talked about School Days and I know exactly how that mess ended. When I saw Nanaka in the tub my heart had stopped for a moment lmao. And the ending imo was superb. Nana and Nanaka married <3
Series was a solid 9.50 to me.

starts out great but definitely could have been warped up better. Yes, we get a 'happy end' but ep 12 & 13 feel rushed. I agree that it could have been worse, but that issue could have avoided it altogether by staying more focused on the main plot. What im referring to here is about ep 10 & 11. Personally, i think they should have been scrapped and replaced with a focus on Sana and Nanaka.

Don't get me wrong, ep 10 & 11 added spice and development to the side story but for a 13 episode series, it wasn't needed when they already devoted at least 2 episodes Hinako.....there's also the fact that the events revolving around the twins and thier father/new mother is left semi-loose ended. I think if this was a 26 episode series then everything would have worked out perfectly but the time constraints really damped the series for me.

ima be harsh and give this series 5/10.

The ending felt a bit rushed. I wish I could've seen more development in the middle but I can't complain since it only had 13 episodes to spare. Good series all in all.

Although I don't really like timeskips, I admit that it was pretty much the only way they could resolve this anime in the final five minutes or so. I am really glad that this anime actually had dark themes like suicide, depression and so on. There is also a twincest subtheme, lol. Anyway, I felt that this was a very slow and slightly boring anime at the start, but at episode 9 or 10 it escalated quickly and became a really, really good show. It's definitely more about the darker themes and the meaning of life rather than romance, so I don't mind the fact that there are no romantic moments between the two to be honest. To be honest, grey-haired loli was a very unnecessary character who took up too much time.

The starting would be a weak 6, and the episode towards the ending is a strong 9. Therefore, I give it a weak 8 overall for my anime list.

Damn I wasn't expecting that kind of backstory, to be actually from another child and having the father be total outrageous to burn himself and the house well I would perhaps do the same after so many years of betrayal... but yea it did seem it wasn't their uncle and well in the end her fake father.

We finally got to know the backstory on Sana's past, so the blade and watch connect to that he wanted to kill himself... cutting his own wrists like Nanaka did now in the last episode, luckily she's not dead. The sudden skip to the future was rather unexpected as well but I liked the concept of having a 10 years in the future look was pretty nice and sweet, in the end they all did manage to find their partner and live their happy life!

The anime itself was rather decent going over some different topics and having some real interesting character development combined with a nice episode pace it all became quite nice in the end. Some character cuts were a bit too abrupt and the character twists where kinda nice, but in the end the background story of the characters was the most interesting.

I rather liked this anime, it had a good pace and a nice ending! 8/10

Well, that was a disappointing end. It had a happy ending and all, but Nanaka's attempted suicide kind of ruined her character for me, and the only hint of romance being a few seconds of an implied marriage proposal is truly, truly disappointing. The rest of the show was pretty good up until now, though. 7/10

The ending felt a little lacking... They should have either showed nothing of them being grown up and just left you to imagine or gone all the way and shown a full scene of them getting together.

seems alot of people didnt notice how the twins where a couple in the end . the flash forward was quite good for the ending as it made it feel more complete the teacher hasnt aged in 10 years tho . my favorite character through out was aoi because she was the only normal one and had any sense of character other than depression her voice kinda reminded me of a chipmunk tho i still liked her the most . it was different to the usual i guess romance wise there is nothing this is most definitely just a drama and maybe in someones eyes mild thriller.

Kind of bittersweet ending for me.
The whole mess of Nanaka's parents ruin the whole series for me. I mean WTF was wrong with Nanaka's mon, why did she got married when she loved the other dude, and the way she talked to her husband, it was almost like she hated him ( Not that I agree with the way he reacted, but the way she talked to him was almost like she was provoking him. It would have been enough if she would have stopped when she said she didn't find out she was pregnant before they got married, but the other stuff was a bit too much.)
My conclusion: Nanaka's mon was a total BITCH

While I disagree with Nonaka's father's actions, I think they can be attributed to temporary insanity brought on by the betrayal of the people closest to him. This woman was fucking her husband's best friend weeks before marriage, wanted to have the best friend's child even though she married this guy and she didn't end it there, she hung out with the best friend everyday. That kind of betrayal drives anyone insane. A man can accept someone else's child as his own but can never accept it, if the child he thought was his isn't. Because, after that, the child itself represents betrayal. Whores like Nonaka's mother don't think about these consequences. Also, instead of being apologetic for betraying him, she acted as if she had nothing to lose.

Okay I'm sure there was someone out there that said the same thing when they saw this series.

Before I started watching this series I knew I was digging my own grave but it looks like that wasn't that case. I was expecting something horrible like school days but it was nothing like that.

Still wasn't that great but Its at least watchable that's for sure. Gets a 8/10 from me.

^So true.

Poorly structured anime! It had story twists that could have been beautifully played, but it failed big time. Nonetheless, I did enjoy few episodes.

Good ending for Sana and Nanaka. It's good that they were able to face their demons, heal each other and move on. It's also clear that they will get married.

Now for things I didn't like:
- The whole twins deal didn't get any conclusion aside that they showed up at the concert holding hands. What happened to their lives? They didn't even show their faces...
- Aoi and Hoshino didn't get much of a conclusion either aside from "being at the concert" oh and I guess Hoshino saved the park somehow.
- Hinako and Youta? lolwhy?

Nevertheless it was a good show 7.5/10

I love the ending, this is like the alternate universe for School Days, where Sana is Makoto and Kotonoha is Nanaka, the only difference is they got their happy ending unlike in Schools Day, they did end up together but Makoto is already dead, talk about tragic ending...
My question is did just the twins went wincest? you don't just usually develop a habit of holding hands with yourself with your sibling right? people would find that weird..Some even speculate that they both got married.... well if that's the case I wouldn't mind since it's the director's decision :), but they should have made the twins reunite with their friends at the end we didn't even get to see their face..:(

well that's over, i'll miss this series

man, the last few episodes really killed what was a great series.

I have to admit though, I thought the watch was a heart monitor and Sana had been stabbed and hospitalized/in comma for a long period of time during those 5 years away. Only reason i thought he was hospitalized and maybe even in comma was because of the episode where he was doing math or something and the 10 year old was able to figure out the answers while he couldn't.

Loved the ending, although like many, I felt that it would have been better if the anime was a bit longer. The time skip was nice, but again, more time spent on that would have been great. I would have enjoyed this anime much more if there was less screen time wasted on Hinako and such and more on the twins, or better yet, Sana and Nanaka. During the epilogue we do find out that Sana and Nanaka got married but there aren't too many romantic scenes between the two. Needless to say, I still think this anime warrants an

8/10.

It was a pretty good serie tough it would had been better w/o the loli and the shotacon, these 2 added nothing to the plot and eated up way too much screen time.

Show should had spent more times on the twins, especially the circumstances surronding their mother's death. Did their bitchy mother in law did it herself, did she pay someone else to do it? Was she already fucking their dad while the mom was still alive? Was the dad involved in the murder? Does he have any remorse at all about how he treat his kids?

These could had been very interesting questions to answer IMHO.

Sadly, this is what you get when you watch Visual Novel adaptations. Every attempt is made to pander to the audience. We are forced to sit through a large number of episodes that highlight each "best girl" so that people can swoon over their favorite 2-D love from the game. It's really just emotional fan-service (which I'd argue is FAR more damaging to a good story than sexualized fan-service).

Ultimately, the ending has to be rushed to conclude the plot within the narrow 13 episode window (that's all the marketing department was willing to risk in production cost, you see). Throw in what was probably a shoe-string budget and tight deadlines and this is the result. And because it's a marketing product, all of the REALLY important scenes (confessions, kisses, sex, etc.) have to be removed or else there isn't any reason to actually go play the game. On top of that, if they show some canonical sort of ending it might make those that chose some other ending feel like their choice was less valid, ruining the point of a game whose concept revolves around multiple endings.

This unfortunately means that we audience members who just came for a good anime experience and nothing more are left wanting. In the end we only get a competent but cookie-cutter story, told with just enough mediocrity to sell merchandise.

Ok....I loved this, but I wanted to say something about the very end there.....

So....did anyone get the feeling with the scene right after the ending song that Sana died when he first tried to commit suicide (I'm hoping I'm wrong here).

Here's what got me thinking, Nanaka said something along the lines of "I'll have the song finished when I see you again" which she didn't until the very very end of the anime, and when she played it on stage, she only played the part from the beginning, so it would be still unfinished because she never saw him again.....

I realize I'm over thinking this lol. But that was the feeling I got when it ended.

Anyway.....

9/10 Loved it.

Overall, I'm satisfied with the ending. They managed to cram all the explanations into one episode, but everyone turned out happy. It just feels like they were trying so hard to make it the last episode. Felt like they cut out a lot of stuff. Such as the proposal, and the just the whole jumping forward 10 years. I left that was a bit much. Again, I'm still overall satisfied with it.

Not really sure why they had to switch to black blood, but I still got the message loud and clear. A dramatic finale, the truth to Nanaka's trauma was really cruel and goes to show how imperfect and distorted people can truly be. I like how it kept showing Sana visit every day, it reminded me of the promise that he would always be with her. Time skips always take me off guard and this one was certainly a sweet way to wrap up what has been an otherwise bitter and tragic ride. Nanaka's piece was really beautiful, the perfect way to wrap it up. I think the title is meant to convey her feelings for Sana and how she was able to live on because of him. That the song was complete because it was no longer just her, but Sana as well.

I've gotta say, I've had this on PTW for over a year now and have been meaning to get to this for months. So glad I did, it really was a gripping and emotional journey. The art style reminds me of School Days and I got those SD vibes at times, but overall it was a much more pleasant experience if they must be compared. It's been a while since I got to just sit down and marathon through a series like that. I do wish there had been less filler-esque episodes and more focus on fleshing out the main cast, but it wasn't unsatisfactory despite.

How would you feel if your wife/girlfriend cheats on you?

How would you feel if you are raising the son/daughter of another guy thinking that that son/daughter is your own?

I hated how this episode made him look like the bad guy. He was the victim in all this. He lost everything!!!! EVERYTHING!!!!! My gosh. He was the happiest guy on the planet at the beginning of this episode, and then his best friend tells him about the affair with his wife and the offspring, and then his whole life is ruined.

And I hate timeskips of more than 1 month for final episodes of any anime. It kinda ruins the mood. Ten years? Seriously?

This really was quite an unpredictable show. Who would've thought Nanaka's father was the arson? Having Nanaka attempt suicide was the perfect segue into Sana's backstory, too.

Liked this a lot as a finale, surprisingly. I expected this to be tremendously rushed but it was paced quite well and still filled in necessary details and closure. I would've preferred more expansion on what happned with the twins after they left, but oh well.

It would've been cool if the epilogue got a series made out of it... a Myself;Yourself: After Story, if you will. Still, the epilogue as is was nice. I prefer timeskips that happen in the distant future.

Glad I didn't pass this up after all, and I really wish I could've read the VN. Despite the generic premise, the drama has a lot more twists than one would ever expect out of a show like this.

Ok, And they didn't show us twins faces, because of the same reasons they colored blood black: self-censorship. As it is now, everyone still know it's them, but noone can't do a shitstorm accusing them of incest promoting :/

Late as balls post is late. But I agree nonetheless over 7 years later. They didn't 100% confirm it was the twins for the purpose of fooling some mooks who'd give a shitstorm to the publishing/animation companies for promoting incest.

It only showed their backsides with familiar hair and them holding hands with their bracelets. Who's to say it *wasn't* them, but just coincidental look-alikes since the other cast members didn't interact with them? The viewers aren't stupid, but who's to say said mooks who run publishing companies are either fooled or satisfied with not 100% confirmed hinting?

It goes the same for other series like Oreimo, where you have to go read the authors afterstory to really get it. You cant really just play it straight anymore without repercussions in most cases.

7/10 - Episode 12 and most of 13 were really rushed and just silly. Not once did I get immersed into the story of these final 2 episodes, rather I was just waiting to see the climax. Why does it seem like episodes 5-11 were the good parts, and everything else was just generic and/or cliche?

"Lets just make the beginning and ending bad, with the Middle good! So that you have to suffer through the start to get to the good part, and you are too invested to stop yourself from seeing the ending". - Sums up this anime pretty well.

P.S. - Shut up, Aoi. Your voice is earsplitting. Unless your (Future?) husband has a "Ruptured Eardrum" fetish, please never talk.

The storyline as a whole is not that bad, but it suffers from some major flaws. The first half and the ending of this anime are kinda bad, the drama felt really forced at some points amd Aoi's character only purpose is to fuck up viewers with her irritating voice while Himeko is only there for loliservice. It got major points for the twin's arc, tho, despite the implied incest.

I was going to give it a 7, but Nanaka's mother turning to be such a dirty whore at the end fucked up my enjoyement of this series a bit. Well, at least she died, so it was not so bad.
