I loved this episode... Great animation... Danzo and Orochimaru was badass!! Pity for kabuto. Orochimaru is true evil...Shippuden has been awesome so far... Keep it up.

As I was watching the op I saw the way tobi was pursuing naruto it was like "give my food teme"

Orichimaru got his old voice actor back. Thank god!

That VA they used during the fillers, was just terrible

The animation was actually pretty good here but the character drawings were a little off.

Even from way back then danzo was manipulating the foundation behind the scenes and the sole reason kabuto became the way he is now. Secretly plotting and blackmailing nono for kabuto to turn on the person that raised him. So sad lol

Another important thing that was talked bout in this episode was the origins of Otogakure and why it was created.

Oricihimaru man, lol he was absolutely the true extent of "evil" in this series.

Good episode,

It's always good to see Orochimaru(epic voice and interesting character), one of my favourite villains, the way he died was really awful when I think about it now.
Back when I watched that episode where Sasuke gains control of Orochimaru's powers i was kind of pro Sasuke, not anymore though.

Also interesting to see the backstory of Kabuto( I never really cared for him) and some other aspects (Danzo, Nono, Foundation).

I do wonder what Orochimaru's true intentions were though, although a lot was explained already.
He created Otogakure and wanted to learn all jutsu's, I wonder if there will be any more secrets that are going to be revealed regarding Orochomaru's/Kabuto's planning/schemes(besides the secret about Edo Tensei which will probably be revealed in the coming episodes).

Also nice soundtrack at the end, sounded really epic, goosebumps all over.

This episode was all about 'The Evolution of Kabuto'

That sad moment when he killed his orphanage mother, It was cruel. The fact they ploted this before hand, i really hate Danzo.

Poor Kabuto ;.;

He just wanted to get back before bedtime. Oh well, can't be helped what he had to go through. I wasn't a big fan of Kabuto anyways. It would of been nice to see how he spied on some of the Akatsuki members though besides just for Sasori.

Oh my lord! I found this episode so interesting, I could not believe how quickly it went!

Kabuto's life story, I never imagined how deep it was. That scene about adding things to himself to find who he is.....

Of course, I hate Danzo with a passion.

And I'm beginning to hate the Naruto opening even more now. Damn song doesn't suit Naruto at all, and the animation..... ugh, no, just no.

Back to Sasuke and Itachi vs Kabuto next week. Perhaps they'll finish it? Anyways, can't wait. Do love me some Uchiha <3

Great episode,
At first I had some prejudice that this episode may not be good or worth to watch.
Orochimaru-sama...
This is kinda rule in Naruto universe:When there is Danzo, there will always be a betrayal.

Who cares about Kabuto's past just kill him already, I wanna see what's happening on Naruto's end. Also Danzo is one evil bastard I'm glad Sasuke killed him. He was even planning on killing Naruto to get the fox's power. All the evil deeds of the Leaf village revolved around him.

We've seen shed loads of Naruto before Sasuke was shown again and you're complaining this soon? Be patient and wait. Just because the show's called Naruto doesn't mean we can't see what's happening on some other character's end.

I really don't understand this hypocritical attitude towards Danzo. Yes, the man has pulled a lot of evil shit, but everything he's ever done put together still makes him a better man than Nagato, who killed a bunch of innocent people just for being related to Hanzo.

As for me, this episode just made him a better character in my eyes. Wanna know why? Because he's the closest thing we've got to a ninja in this show that is about ninjas. They're ninjas, for fuck's sake. They're not supposed to be all goody-goody. Fuck the morals, they're the dirtiest players in the game.

As far as the episode goes, I noticed a couple of derpy points in the art, but other than that, it was fine. A 4/5 would suffice for this episode, I'd say.

The battle with kabuto probably won't end completely until the last episode in November.

I would agree with him though, these episodes are more insightful, introduce new developments in the story, the last episodes was mostly pure action. These next 10-15 episodes are going to really cover alot of background information. its going to be quite awesome.

Meh, ever since Shippuden Orochimaru's been more of a third party than an actual antagonist and I prefer him that way.

I would say that the fight against Kabuto will be wrapped up in two or three more episodes, this is already near the last section of the fight in the manga.

And episodes like this remind me why I love this series. Honestly this was a top tier episode in my book, great art and the story of espionage was intriguing. Kabuto's past was moving and it's fascinating to see how he became the way he is. Loved seeing Orochimaru again, anything involving him is always going to be maliciously awesome. I really hope Kabuto survives, I've always liked him since he played along during the Chuunin Exam.

Interesting episode. getting to learn about Kabuto's past and I never really cared for him much but I kinda always wondered what happened to him, since he is the way he is now.

Good episode. but I don't understand the placement of this new development. Why are we seeing his past now? and what will we gain from knowing about it at this moment in time? Guess I'll have to wait.

Come on man, this is so obvious.. In manga/anime, when there is a fight, and one side is getting an epic, sad, tragic, traumatic backstory, it BY DEFAULT means that side will win the fight, you should know this.

As much as i enjoy Naruto, I think it's pretty insulting to more interesting, ambitious works to consider a part of Naruto the best of anything in anime history.

I would agree, for the shonen demographic though i would say he's pretty far up their for being one of the most well thought out manipulate and sinister villains among the genre.

To bad he's not at the core of the story, he needs more screen time. But in the early original naruto series or part 1 of the manga, i would consider him one of the most intriguing exceptionally amazing villains.

Are you serious? Only better "antagonists" than Danzo have been Orochimaru and Madara. And if you call the things he's done stupid, you have no understanding of what a ninja should be. Here's a hint; it's the exact opposite of who Naruto is and what he keeps preaching.
