This episode was great! The first scene before the OP made me laugh and I liked the whole backstory of the MC before he got into the agriculture school. It's good that this anime has a good sense of reality and about the whole 'resolve' thing. What the instructor said about Pork Bowl and how pork bowl just settled for the smallest teet was really good.

But poor pork bowl ;_;

Educational - learn much about pigs and horses (and vets). And then there is the draft horse race that I never heard of..

Fun - the buddha-lookalike teacher is a keen gambler on horseracing!

Insightful - thought-provoking on death and relationship of human and farm animals, as well as seeking one's goal in life

Interesting - even the chicken farm boy, so poor in maths, can figure out his family farm is as big as Macross. Is he actually a closet otaku? LOL

So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old?

I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them?

I wonder how long people would put up with this.

As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series.

I'm starting to genuinely enjoy this show. The chemistry between the cast is continuing to build, their individual struggles, interests and goals are being fleshed out well bit by bit, they all have enough personality without being so "eccentric" it becomes alienating and even worse annoying like a lot of casts this season and best of all I feel like I'm actually learning stuff about the topic of agriculture while watching instead of it being some sort of bait and switch for antics for antics sake. Pigs start competing in a survival of the fittest type of competition with their siblings from the moment it comes to breast feeding and there is a hierarchical structure to teat selection that becomes instinctual. Who knew?

Actually this show is pretty low on the antics, I mean it has comedic bits, but it stays focused on the development of it's premise and cast in the long run. Also those pigs are bloody adorable this episode.

It's a rare like for me this season.

Chicken boy is not macross boy.
They are not the same person.

This is rather educational.

Without having read the manga, I guess the "twist" will be something along the lines of him being recommended the wrong school (even if it sounds crazy).

Another great episode, it's great to have all the characters back again ^^
Also nice that Hachiken and the other guy understood to respect each other's situations.

Excellent writing and comedy.
Your mean should be an even bell curve only if you watch every show that comes out. Having a high-slung mean doesn't mean you're rating improperly. It can also mean you're selecting shows well to watch mostly things you enjoy.

I just love how the comedy is actually very realistic on this show instead of the usual nonsense comedy.
This can turn into something really good but we'll have to wait and see.

First chickens, then cows and horses, and now pigs!

There's tension between Hachiken and Komaba. Is it because of jealousy?

That horse race was pretty intense, in my opinion. I didn't know horses can race like that.

Aww, Pork Bowl is so cute! Too bad he'll die in three months or so.

For those looking for an anime seriously on the subject matter, will have bread for his teeth, but if you want a fantasy setting that will immerse and involve, you've hurt, like the chara design and graceful little moe. But there is comedy not to annoy the viewer, not cheap if you do well at the end accounts. Episode that I enjoyed for the space given to situations with deep dialogues. To do this a rating high enough.
