While it had its flaws (like the rushed story for example), it was okay overall. It gave a satisfying ending. I would have been okay, if Satsuki have won, but this ending fells to be the right one. |

I felt it was a bit rushed near the end, but overall it was still pretty good. Chisato ending was expected. |

This Anime gave me a mini heart attack >< in episode 11, when that Wedding talking, I thought they'd ignore him, and walk on, and since they would be crossing the road, probably one of them was gonna die. When they attended, I was relieved but...........I still thought one of them would die after the mock wedding >< Well, they cleared that anyway, but on that bridge, when they were about to kiss, that's when it hit me, the kiss'd definitely get broken, by some assailants........when that happened, and Chisato got kidnapped, I assumed the worst; they raped her........*facepalm* I seriously should cut down on NTRs and dark-themed school life animes =____=" well, everything turned out well, and they finally kissed~ Hoorah! XD |

The childhood friend barely wins anymore. And if it would of chose her it wouldn't had worked because the anime is only 12 episodes meaning no time to focus on the character development. |

Long live democracy! Now that was a literally sweet ending. I can believe in his election victory. After all, nothing is more appealing to a thinking voter than honesty and transparency. Forget about those sickeningly sweet promises from slimy, smooth talking candidates. I have to say that delving into serious school politics and shadowy conspiracies was a fresh twist from what would normally have been just another harem story. Just how powerful can the student council president in this school can be? +1 to the osananajimi faction. It's not everyday that the childhood friend wins in a harem story, so this ending is very much appreciated. |

What to say what to say. I could say that it ended AMAZIng but i'd be lying. It was def a good ending tho. I love harems but i hate when they do that to you. they lead you to believe he's ttly gonna be with one girl but he goes back to the first one. Aha i knew it was gonna happen tho. I'm just glad that they didnt completley lead us off and give no devopment between the main 2. It keep you wondering who'd he be with. I'm satisfied but still hungry. Season 2 Anyone? I mean the romance is done but the story line still was pretty open for development :] Def worth the watch tho. 7/10 |

This was a nice little ending, wrapped up everything and not only did Chisato win but they finally managed to kiss! 4/5. While I dropped this when I heard of the friend-zoning, I'm glad I decided to finish it. It wasn't that interesting and I mainly liked Michiru only, yet by the end Chisato and Mifuyu grew on me, the plot was entertaining enough to set it apart from most harem stuff. Bumped up to a final 7/10 from a 5. |

This episode - 5/5 Overall series - 6.5/10 Why? First part of the series was horrible. When the plot kicked it during the latter episodes, that's when it got to the good stuff. Sadly, the good stuff only took up around 3 to 4 episodes. Really good plot actually and they did execute it well, minus all the harem crap in the middle. This would have gotten a higher rating from me if it cut out the boring stuff and squeezed more interesting plot. Sadly, I don't rate based on how good an ending is because I always rate on the overall aspect of a series. So there you go. 6/10. Worth a watch. It's totally cool to skip some episodes, as some are pointless. :) Oh right, gotta point this out. Amazing visuals. Sound was pretty good. Loved the animation. OP was fantastic, music wise. |

I totally love this anime. Its been so long since I've like a harem anime. I mean yeah~ there are cliche moments, but it has a very atatakai feeling. hahaha. Also, all of the girls are lovable, you can't even set aside one. BUT of course, as for the ending, I superFreakinLove that Chisato ends up with Yuuki. I was quite nervous at first, because it was like Yuuki was into Satsuki, demo, it was like Mouri-kaichou explained. He decided to fall in love but then again, Chisato is always in the back of his mind. Super Happy. :)))))) - i was also glad when he emphasize that He was already inlove with Chisato ever since that wedding incident. *squeals* I really love this anime. 10/10 .. :) The songs were also good. FTW! :) |

Why do I like this school election so much more than the one going on in the large country to the south of us right now? Probably because even with kidnappings, dirty tricks, and violence, it is cleaner than "real life". I was pleased to see the final pairings (including the former president and Kana). I am volunteering to do my best to console Satsuki and Hazuki if they need it... |

I unintentionally watched this entire show in one sitting, and I have no regrets. Such a heartwarming ending! I caught myself laughing a few times but also making exaggerated reaction faces. The OST is great, the setting complements the drama, the artwork is nice, the characters are likable, the romance doesn't get too complicated, the humor is fun, and the drama gets personal. An enjoyable watch. Also, Madoka Magica cosplay. |

I thought KoiChoco was really good up until the middle of episode 11. Then things started getting predictable and thus lost their emotional impact. A lot of it had to do with using standard cliches (magical coma revival, typical hostage scenario, lame speech based on naivety). But that alone shouldn't be enough to make the ending a boring mess, and it was the poor execution of those last one and a half episodes that really stopped the series from reaching its full potential. From really poor pacing for the wrap-up at the end to spending too much time showing Oojima's devotion to Chisato with his running around instead of actually fleshing out their backstory and making the development of their relationship more realistic than "hi, I can eat chocolate now," this anime fell flat on its face when it could've done much, much better. Overall, 6/10 for having a unique setting and some very likeable characters (Satsuki mostly). If they had done the ending properly, it would've instead been an easy 8/10... |

good ending,, actually i spoiled myself.. tehe. looking for the ending first before watching all throughout. i did the same thing for mashiro iro symphony, and i'm glad i did it and was able to find out that it's ending was the worst. now, i just finished watching this anime.. and i love it, 10/10.. though i'm yearning for more moe moments, <3 chisatoXyuuki all the way.. i'm glad yuuki finally realized his true feelings and spill it out.. love the kissing scene part, very unique.. season 2 anyone??! hope so! :D and ps. i agree to anyone that says mashiro iro symphony is a shit? no offense.. it's a waste of time actually. the beginning is good then it turns to be worse and ends the worst.. |

Just a great final episode! For a reason quite unique to combine normal things with some other things like spies and stuff like that, the combining of these two themes was brilliant put in picture and came out very good, the relations of all the characters where also quite good especially Yuuki X Chisato, good that he eventually won for president and got his love! Good ending really enjoyed this Anime 9/10 |

Nice show, nice ending. The story was interesting, even if it was just a school council president election. The only problem was the exaggerated things at some points and the brutality there. I mean.. seriously.. she just hit a high school girl with a car? xD The girls were quite nice, but Mi-chan could have got some more private time with Yuuki.. Satsuki is a really nice girl and I wouldn't mind seeing her with Yuuki if it was not for Chisato because noone deserved Yuuki more than she did. The kiss in the end was nice and sweet but could have been a bit longer :3 A bit more of Yuuki's speeches would be nice, because.. really.. Tomoya's voice is the best male voice in anime's history. It sounds really manly but still very calm and it shows the honest feelings. |

Because the proper storyline requires a Chisato ending, and Mifuyu route is direct opposite of Chisato route (and a really damn boring one) Basically she would've have stole Yuuki, Chisato flips out, Drama etc etc. Forgiveness. The end. Mifuyu is a good character just everyone is better and have decent storyline backing them |

I never really had any problems with Chisato until like episode 8, her constantly forcing herself on Yuuki is just something I hate in general, and it sucks to have to deal with in real life (happened twice, once in high school and once in college), episode 9 really pissed me off because she comes to the immediant conclusion that because he's putting so much effort into the campaign she needs to be his #1 priorty, its obvious he does not share the same feelings toward her as she does to him that all said, it's a damn shame that the one anime in which the childhood friend actually "wins" has a childhood friend so undeserving of his love...I'm not biased toward Satsuki either, I felt like the only reason she got near him was because of wanting to understand her sister better, and somehow she develops some kind of feelings for him...I also don't care for that either....for the most part i wished the show better portrayed the election, it had many more memorable moments then the romance at the end...5/10 |

Yuuki has a large harem new, the hole School (girls & boy's), he did declare love to all, or did he not? LOL (its a joke ofc), at the end that got do be the sweetest kiss ever LOL, cause they added the chocolate to it Yuuki is dam good with speech like always!!! they shod make season 2 cause mane enemy is still hiding, but if they do i can imagine things only getting darker if they continue the story, like example Chisato getting raped (but they wont show rape scene only when she gets grabbed & after they leave her) for revenge, i imagine the worse cause of what they have all ready done, & cause of that i think they are capable of even worse, after thinking about that i started to think that its better that they wont do season 2 LOL |

Sorry to be this late to the party but I only found out about this series last week. It was a good ride overall. I started watching it expecting only humour and fan service, but kept going because of the plot (normally is the other way round, because there is no plot). Pros: - Surprisingly complex plot, haven't played the VN but apparently they took parts from different routes, yet the story still feels coherent and more ambitious than Amagami (politics aside, obviously). - It is harem and comedy but at the same time shit gets serious, and I don't find the transition to be forced. - Good character design :3 Though the VN is from a different studio, some characters look like expys from Amagami, and that's a plus in my book *¬* (Dem Shinonome sisters). - Intricate politics. I personally didn't find the elections meta to be boring or too deep, it was always well-balanced -Yuuki was a bit too dense at the beginning of the series. If the other elements had not been good I would've probably dropped the series because of him. HOWEVER, he does grow some balls and turns Chisato down TWICE and even bitchslaps her at some point (and with good reason). That was some nice character development. I was expecting him to be generic and appear oblivious to all the girls' feelings (see: most harems and sadly, Boku wa Tomodachi NEXT) and pick one at the very end, but he tried to be honest for the most part. Cons: -WHAT DA HELL?! Clingy childhood friend ending? Seriously? Talk about things done do death. Yuuki grew balls and even rejected Chisato at least twice, and then all of a sudden he remembers their childhood memories and click! He has a change of mind. I'm absolutely biased towards the Shinonome sisters (especially Satsuki), but I would've accepted any other route rather than the clichéd one. What bugs me even more is that none of the other girls that have feelings for Yuuki try to do anything to cock block Chisato, they just step aside like they could read minds, even Satsuki who almost kissed Yuuki. At first I was neutral towards Chisato, but her Yuno-like "you-belong-to-me" attitude made want to punch the screen every time. She even looks like Asuka the first time Yuuki turns her down (homage perhaps?). They could have at least tried to break Satsuki's advances with some conflict (IDK, maybe she was much more worried about winning the elections, or perhaps they try to start a relationship but somehow it doesn't work and they end up like friends... oh right, things like that do not happen often in anime). - The CIA-like elements and the overall system of the school were good, but they were a bit overdone. Perhaps a lot. My suspension of disbelief fell apart many times. Eg: assassination attempts, kidnapping, etc. I think some of these things could've been done more credible with simpler forms of blackmailing or harrassing/bullying (through social networks and the like), with the aim of breaking the victim's spirit rather than going fully criminal. When they did try to do that, the results were good. I found the bullying scene was well done, I ended up hating on those girls. Also, I found really unrealistic that Aomi had to work LATE AT NIGHT sometimes. Seriously? Anybody knows that there is something called human rights and labor rights, and we're talking about an underage person, which would make it even more illegal. Still, since this is an adaptation of a VN, the anime can be forgiven. - Sadly, there were many interesting characters, but the series was so short that only a couple of them got adequate development. - Last episode lacked suspense or action. They kept showing every phone booth but when the elections came they skipped to the winner. Not even 30 seconds of counting votes, updates or anything that adds suspense. Not even a "Ooshima... sorry, Oojima-kun won the elections" big announcement and a big high-five. - Transition to ending theme. At first it felt natural, but as the series got darker and darker the theme felt too happy/melodic, and somehow broke the suspense. Getting rid of that fade-in could've solved the problem. TL;DR version: The series is really fun to watch but things start to feel forced from episode 9 onwards. /rant Still I'd recommend it to friends, at least the journey was fun. 7/10 Could've been higher with a different ending. Guess I might learn some Japanese just to try the VN and see some other routes.. Hopefully the OVA brings something nicer to the table than just the mandatory fanservice at the beach episode. I admit I'd be satisfied with just that, but this series has proven it can be much more. Like somebody said, OVAs with different routes would be interesting...Rooting for Yuuki x Shinonome sisters :3 |
