THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------

After week's of fun with our ghost troll Yuuko-san, mindfucks, and other ghostly tales, this series has come to an end. I enjoyed this series and although not technically on horror levels of Another, it has achieved its entertainment value.

Here are some final pictures:

While the first episodes weren't too worthy, the latter made it up and week after week has delivered entertainment that gave Sunday an enjoyment day that viewers deserve. There are of course some flaws but all in all, I still enjoyed the series.

Anyways, looking forward to the OVA later this year with more from our ghost troll, Yuuko-san.

lol @ the beginning for the girl who cannot see the ghost. And she saw the notebook!! No OP since it's final ep.!

So they found the corpse. There's ceremony happening, but ghost girl wants to have a date with the guy around the school campus before disappearing. Sad farewell with kiss goodbye.

He opened the bod that she left and she appeared again. OP = ED.

Requiem, the inserted song, pretty.

What a great ending to a great series!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I loved every moment of it, and then it came up with such a wonderful ending!!!!!!!!

Now the challenge will be for the manga to come up with an ending that is equally good.

I can't wait for the BluRays to start coming out - I want to watch this over and over!

The anime approached the story in a much different way than the manga and essentially picked various parts to animate without really matching the manga story line. So the manga is very much worthwhile to read, but it's really not a matter of "leaving off".

they should had just let it end there. There was not really a need for her to come back and there is no way a season 2 will come.

I really enjoyed how it wasn't just a manga adaptation but it tried adding more to the story. A really good watch.

That was an incredibly good finale!

I was hoping for a happy end, and it really delivered the perfect note for the anime to go out on!

I rated the show 8/10 throughout, but this finale definitely bumps that up to an extremely good and unexpected 9/10. This is easily one of my favorites of the year!

Yeah i was fully expecting a sad ending where they finally parted ways... i was about ready to burst into tears but then he opened the box and she was back... although i do feel like i just got trolled... after really dramatic parting and showing Niya getting over / "locking away" the memories of his time with Yuuko then suddenly bam shes back! I'm happy we got a good and happy ending though.

Hmm. Seems like the devs want to bring a second season with an even better plot.
She's back then? Will there be more to come of more awesome possumness? I loved this anime. What a nice way to pass the time. But it seems that this could lead to other ghosts and the paranormal investigations club will begin to face adversary. Sounds good eh? MAKE IT HAPPEN DEVS!

WOW!!! IM SO HAPPY THIS SERIES ENDED ON A HAPPY NOTE :')

That final goodbye and final moment together was so damn emotional and had my heart wrenching in pain...

I did NOT want to see Yuuko go, and Teiichi having to forget her was so painful to watch...

BUT SHE CAME BACK, YES!!!!!! :DDD

Loved this series, the ending alone bumps up my score from an 8 to a WELL-DESERVED 9!!!

Happy ending made me happy!

Strange how I would have given this anime a 9/10 and be sad if they ended with Yuuko disappearing. But instead, I am giving it an 8/10 even though it gave me a smile in the end!

Will miss Yuuko and her lovely voice. Hopefully it will have a sequel. An unexpectedly wonderful show that grew on me as the series progressed. :)

I wasn't expecting happy twist ending. Its good to see everything is great and all, but i felt like there would have been a better impact if Yuuko didn't just suddenly came back. Still overall great series and i wonder how the manga is going to end.

Yeah I was definitely expecting a depressing ending, and i did shed some man tears as she was disappearing and writing in the book, but to my surprise the ending left me very happy. Great anime, honestly one of my favorite. Don't think there will be a sequel, but if there is ill welcome it with open arms hhaha

In-fucking-credible. Boosted it up to my top 3 and was already going to give it a 10/10 for a while now as long as it kept being good, but in the end, it was even better than good. It couldn't have been any better imo. That ending was perfect for the show. I'm so glad it was a happy ending. I'm gonna be remembering this anime quite fondly; I'm so sad that it's over. Yuuko and Teiichi are so great together. When she came back, I lost it. The kiss was amazing, the box was amazing, and everything was amazing. Such a relief to see a perfect ending after being so disappointed by Toradora's. Take notes, romance anime creators: this is how to end a show.

#%#$%#$% I got trolled again.

I should no better than to get sucked into the Sad end/ Happy end routine. I bought it. I feel shame. I even got a bit misty eyed when Yuuko and Teiichi were crying.

Lol, so now Teiichi has to make out or fornicate with Yuuko over and over so she won't disappear. I wonder if this means that she's no longer tied to the school grounds and can follow Teiichi anywhere.

Yes, it was rather weak cliched anime ending. But the anime wasn't anything special to get overly pissed about. I enjoyed the story overall. The romance mixed with the mystery about Yuuko's past was a decent storyline. Yuuko was a refreshing character as she was a playful flirt, which lately is something usually reserved for cougar type older women. Teiichi was a bit of a shy boy. But at least he wasn't a completely sexless nerd and had some guts to reciprocate feelings back towards Yuuko every now and then.

Technically, I view the series overall as a 7.5 I'm going to be optimistic and give it an 8/10, since I really enjoyed the show overall.

So much for him locking those memories, because as soon as she appeared those memories came back in milli seconds, but it was a beautiful ending.

I know the ending would've been more realistic if she disappeared and that was the end of it... but I prefer a happy ending, I liked that she came back!
Much like I liked the Clannad AS ending even though most people said it was stupid and unrealistic.

The series had some crappy filler episodes, but the final 2 or 3 were very well done! If there was more consistency throughout, I would've given this a 9 (I gave it an 8). I really enjoyed the plot and even though it will probably be a little cheesier, I would watch the second season if it were to be released.

Wow fuck man. That was literally a PERFECTLY executed finale. I haven't seen something so dazzling, and overall satisfying in a long time. It was stunning to see, and very pleasant on the ears. Good visuals. Good soundtrack. And best of all, it was emotional. The directors tugged the right strings, at the right time, so kudos to them. Very good work.

But my God was this episode good. This episode alone bumped it up a whole grade point for me. And with that,

8/10 -- It indeed was "very good".

start from chapter 1. anime kinda diverges from ep 1 lol

great ep. thought i wouldve been dissappointed with the seires being taken so far from the manga.

okonogi was somehow cute in a childish way at the beginnign. final date scenes were so fkn sad. especially the dissappearing scene.

liked how it ended

Good ending; I'm a little disappointed that they ended it without covering several chapters, but I can excuse it seeing as they had 12 episodes to work with.
One question that I've always had with this series, both manga and anime; what happens when Teiichi graduates?

Ending after the "fading" part disappointed me, felt like it was trying too hard to put me in a good mood after what happened. All it did though was leave me with a bad impression of the series, if it ended after the fading, I would have liked it far more. As it stands now I gave it a 6/10

Originally she was haunting the place where she died, but according to her it was Teiichi's kiss that kept her from going to heaven so I guess she is haunting him personally now. That should mean she can follow him home...

I aint going to even lie when he was saying his goodbye that shit made me want to cry. I had to pause it and go do something else. LOL. I feel more sad in animes when you cant be with your love one instead of them just getting killed.

9/10 for me

I can understand why people wanted the sad ending. I aint going to lie if it was the sad ending i would be cursing the author for making me feel this sad. The sad ending would had left a bigger impact. Tragedies are better most of the time.

When they was parting it reminded me of the chinese movie "The Sorcerer and the White Snake" ending.
