Hello internet my name is Michael! I am an anime enthusiast and a full time university student striving to become an art teacher for high school kids! My love for anime started long ago with good ol' Dragon Ball Z/ Yu Yu Hakusho. But my true obsession didn't start until I saw Code Geass back in 2008, I would watch the live stream from japan with unsubbed episodes then watch a terribly subbed episode and finally a good subbed! I loved this show so much and I still do to this day!
My real burst into the "not all robots/action animes" was when I watched a show called
Otome Youkai Zakuro. This was the start of a love for anime from all spectrums and my deep love for any anime with a cheesy love story to it!
Favorite Anime:
(I'll keep this very short and mainly on my top ones that are shown in my profile)

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion
The reason why this show is my number 1 is because like I stated before this is the show that started my true addiction to anime. Besides that the story in this show is absolutely amazing, everything full circles in the second season and blows your mind. The art style is beautiful and the voice acting is perfect. This is one of those shows that pulls at all your heart strings and also keeps you in the edge of your seat. I recommend this show to ANYONE who enjoys and loves anime!

Death Note
Death Note is a very different and special kind of anime. There really isn't a whole lot of action in this show but a lot of it has to do with what it does to your head. Just seeing Light (the main protagonist) work his way around and not get caught for being the mass murderer Kira always captivates me. There is never a dull moment in this show. The art work is stunning and the voice acting in both English and Japanese are astounding.

Steins;gate
Steins;Gate is about an individual who is deluded with the idea that he is a mad scientist. Little does he know he actually is a mad scientist and creates the very first ever time machine! This show starts off slow and steady but his a point that rips your heart out and brings you to your knees. The same scene gets me every time I rewatch this show!

K-On!!
K-On is that one special show that all the moe in the world bursts into the scene. This show is just pure gold from the amazing music and art style of KyoAni studios and each girl is wonderful with their distinct personalities! This is a show with no real plot but just makes you smile everytime you watch it, it will always have a special place to me!

Clannad: After Story
Season 1 of Clannad was a good ol' fasion high school love story comedy but it is in After Story that the story gets real. It follows real life issues and romance between the two characters. This show is a tear jerking roller coaster of a ride. The first anime that I found myself crying like a little girl to. It is the emotional attachment to the characters that makes it one of my favorite shows of all time.
Favorite Character:
Mio Akiyama

Its a pretty hard anime to find though with good english subs : (
In Eureka Seven I actually love Anemone x Dominic
It is called "seekers of the abyss" all i have to say is GOOD LUCK lol, trying to beat that. In any case the game has a PLETHORA of extra content not including the dlc and im not just referring to the main game, but optional dungeons, super bosses, side quests, mini games, etc. Their is probably like around 8 or so different large optional area's to explore that are mostly all end game content. I got as far as the last area which is the hardest area in the entire game and i got owned like crazy and that is not even the seekers of the deep area.
You pretty much have to master every characters skills and lvls in order to really stand a chance. But the game delivers on bringing you a very nice challenging adventure full of all kinds of stuff to do and the experience is very rewarding, yu know like the time you got master materia in Final fantasy VII, or defeated emerald weapon lol. It is a game you will play quite a while.
Yeah i hear xenoblade is just like lost oddyssey or blue dragon in that it has so much content. Thats one thing i love bout these companies, "mistwalker" and "monolith software" both delivery, they don't screw you over with a half ass game like SE does and later brings a bunch of crap DLC packs. I like a finished product and that is exactly what blue dragon, lost oddyssey, xenoblade and even the newest last story is going to be like.

Check out the directors cut trailers, amazing stuff
Lost odyssey is another great game with loads of content, i still have never gotten around to mastering all the DLC, because its like truly hard core. But one of these days ill get around finishing it up.
It was the first time that i truly experienced a video game in today's generation of consoles, but it retained the original elements of what make jrpgs so popular during the golden era of ps/ps2. In my opinion, its what the industry should of done with rpgs along time ago and worked on innovating them in that style, instead of what rpgs have become today, mostly action heavy and movie like CG.
Blue dragon is a very underrated title i think, thats another one that is absolutely a must have. Full over world to explore, airship travel, traditional turn based combat, and an amazing extensive story line with character design by none other then akira toriyama creator of dragonball.
Lost oddyssey has some of the same magic, accept the graphic style is different of course.
Hell and you can't forget music like this
