 According to Nisio Tsushin, Aniplex has announced that Shaft will animate all the Monogatari novel series of Nisio Isin. The director is Shinbo Akiyuki. Iwakami Atsuhiro, the producer of Aniplex, said the second season of the Monogatari series (see below) will be animated in two cours TV series. Since Nekomonogatari (Black) does not belong to the second season, it will be animated separately. Iwakami also said it's impossible to release the Kizumonogatari movie within this year. | Well it's not really breaking news since this happening was pretty much a given, but still eagerly awaiting the rest of the -monogatari seasons. Though I do hope they get onto them fast, least we get Owarimonogatari in 2025 or something. |

This however is Aniplex official announcement that Shaft has given the ok for the whole endeavour. Sure, they can still plug the project at any point if it stops being profitable but the same can be said of many long-running series.I could have sworn this was announced a while ago. | HAREM APOCALYPSE I'd rather any other kind of apocalypse, I hate the harem genre and Bakemonogatari pissed me off since it was presented as a supernatural mystery series and actually were just a pseudo-funny harem with bright boobs. |

Still, I dare to hope that they will prove to be at least on par with Bakemono - which was in fact quite decent. But... yeah, we all know that milking the franchise will be reduced to creating fan-service-packed replicas without as much as a good story. |
