Wow, pantsu again huh? and just this without even clothes on!

I'm not too surprised the founder came back though despite her being pissed. Miyuu is very enthusiastic though especially in her maid outfit. Where does she get that energy from?!

They look good in those swimsuits. The president came back. At least she took the responsibility for leaving them with the money. Glad to see that they have found a new job.

So Working Girls, such pantsu, very shame, much angry.
(crappy english incoming) there's not many people watching this :/ too bad.
the episode was great, but a little uncomfortable watching the girls being abused like that. i was expecting the president to come back, but not too soon.

First half I was raging 99% of the time on how the girls were being treated, glad to see the 2nd half to be better after seeing that thug arzz producer getting beaten up really made my inner self "HELL YEA!!!" Wasn't really surprised that the president came back, I hated her in the first ep for leaving the group and taking all the money but now she is taking responsibility by first off getting a new job for the girls ^.^ and I dun think she'll ever leave the group again since this time Mayu is in the group. As for the actions of the president I still kinda hate how she acts but I can tell that from the inside she is now actually wanting to make the group famous in a non pervy way.

Glad to see this show is heading to the direction I was hoping for, well I still dun really like the extra fan-service..... Either way as an idol fan this is my #1 show for this season >.> and cant wait for next ep already @.@

yeah holy shit that old man lounge was so wrong..
kaya should've beat up the guy who slapped her ass
and i wanted miyu to punch the guy in the face trying get a kiss

miyu's maid cafe fans seem legit though, glad they encouraged her

and even though it looks like the president has shown some integrity.. you can never be too sure after what she already did.

Hated first half but really glad pres is back.

I know she did something bitchy but I'm glad she's back. Without her the girls won't be making a break anytime soon ^^

Miyu's concert was nice :D...Let's see them rise.

This show so far has been a treat to watch. Nice blend of both the dark (sukebe producer) and light side (real fans with a sense of proportion) of the entertainment business. I hope they keep the dark - it would set it apart from all the other idol shows, though this seems to be heading towards the light (though the ending had some potential).

We need some Mayu development though, they contradicted themselves there a bit, she was a well known idol, but no one at the club thought anything about her showing up (or doing a bikini show). Plus, despite being a nice person, that she had the charisma to power her former group to national status would impact the other girls in the group. I hope this issue is covered in later episodes.

Plus with I-1 being so huge (with multiple theaters throughout Japan), that their former center would come back would cause massive waves. I also hope this is covered.

But that is from here on out, from start to here, so far it has been fun.

LOL at that one dude who looked like some guy from King of the Hill trying to kiss Miyu. NO ONE TOUCHES MY MIYU!! About time Prez Tange came back, and like she said she has connections with other people so it's not a surprise that Wake Up, Girls are going to be on TV.

Miyu and her fans at the Cafe, the love for Miyu.

It's kind of painful to watch during the 1st half the episode because of that Sudo's rule or something. Glad that the President is back and gave him a beating (despite her personality being a little harsh)

Miyu's cafe performance was pretty good. Dat Haiyore opening song. At least she has well supported fans in the Cafe then the previous one. It's their chance to be on the spotlight, in live broadcast.

Thoughts:
4:48 7 girls in bikinis = jail bait? (seeing those real life girls in the previews makes me ask this lol)

5:10 when the announcer guy says "working girls," it's like u would expect the girls to strip down

5:32 dem panty shots

6:13 this dude's face just says "I JUST PISSED MY PANTS"

11:15 that fat fanboy trying to kiss one of those girls… wasn't expecting something like that to be in this anime

18:42 Haiyore S1 OP ftw

-------------
Overall:
1. Nice fanservice I guess, even tho it was degrading

2. Watching those 7 girls trying to succeed is not at all a very interesting story. Hopefully the girls get put in a blender again, just like posing in those bikinis. That'll keep my interest. More blenders please!!!

The job that guy set the girls up with was so degrading. Felt bad for them. Glad the president beat his ass though.
The president was wrong for ditching them, but it's good that she's back. She has connections and knows what she's doing.

Liked seeing Miyu perform at her cafe. Her fans are so supportive. Hope the girls' new job turns out well.

Kind of still think the Pres is a douche but I suppose it's her nature that I dislike more than anything. Still have to respect the fact that she's capable of landing them safe and (yet-to-be-seen) solid gigs, so I hope that she sticks around and continues to kick ass, though her return was rather sudden, admittingly.

I also want to see some gradual development on Matsuda and Mayu, I kind of feel like they're just there when it feels like they should be playing more important parts.

Also that last girl featured at the end of the episode:

Will I fall in love someday? I wonder?

That's pretty bad way to start career in spa wearing swimsuit. Their manager shouldn't agreed to sign this deal in the first place. But on the other hand, it's nice to see how idol business is going in Japan.

Though I have the feeling that job for tv won't be their dream job also.

Edit: And I don't understand those people who hates this episode because of that spa concert. You know, those things happen in reality, right? Harassing and so on. More than anything, you should symphatize with those girls.

Anyway, is noone watching this anime? MAL numbers are so low, I guess everyone just thinks this is another iDOLM@STER type run-of-the-mill show which is kinda sad.

On the contrary, it's because this is not iDOLM@STER that caused far less viewers to watch this series. I mean, who would watch a series that would cause them to cringe at every episode?

i hate that people said that the sauna scene with the girls wearing bikini and getting harassed is FANSERVICE, No! it's not fanservice, fanservice didn't mean to be disturbing, i think those scene are necessary for the story as this anime wants to capture the idol industry with a more realistic way.
The same goes with the girls showing their panties at the winter concert on the last episode, it's not suppose to be a fanservice, it's suppose to make you feel uneasy and pity all those naive girls.

The first half was hard to watch. End up skipping it, good thing the next half was relieving. It felt good that Sudou bastard got beaten up.

Good thing that President came back and beat that guy up. I know me and many
people hate her for leaving them, but she's the only one who could really help the girls. Its hard to believe how Matsuda is dumb and doesn't know about Contracts. What was he doing in the past one and half year of his career? Jerking off?

I think this happens in real life idols as well. Getting deceived and being made to work in those kind of jobs.

The girls has one tough road ahead to reach popularity. I'm hoping that since Mayu is the most experience and a former center idol, she should be leading the group.

Lets see what will happen next episode. Hoping it turns out alright, but I can't deny many mistakes are gonna happen the first time and at the same a valuable experience to them.

Re: ona

Meaning that it's more complicated than various audiences would even bother to know, but, you know, not only idols need supportive audience - every human does. And the maid-cafe scene was unexpectedly good one, because shows support for Miyu, "a girl from a cafe".

I couldn't believe that the manager (don't remember his name), even for a year and 3 months work doesn't know jack shit about the industry. I mean, Sudo-scum was obvious scum, however not reading the contract was on ... well, a disaster, totally unprofessional, and ... yeah, I hope he feels 7 times horrible than any of the girls in person.

I have to admit that I have seen more scenarios and ruined entertainers in identical situations, I hope they get better chances in the next episodes, or muster more resilience and strength to become the entertainers they dream to be.

That was disturbing. I felt so bad for those girls. Does this really happen in the idol scene in Japan? Guess so huh? I imagine there's billions of groups formed but only a few make it big...what happens to those who didn't then? :/

Glad to see the president came back and set things straight. And now they finally got a legit job too!

Serious character development episode for Matsuda please. I was already disturbed by that spa bit but then it got more disturbing when I remembered there's a 13-year old girl in WUG. FFS MATSUDAAAAAAAA grrrraaawwrrr!!!

It just occurred to me that the president looked like a certain individual. Come to think of it though, her character seems to match how I'd imagine his would be, if he was a lot more bad ass and connected.

Wow people it's like you guys NEVER watched any idol performed..

Tell me now, how many of AKB48's MVs that showed them wearing SWIMSUITS for the whole goddamn video? ever saw SDN48? How is it unthinkable that a new start-up idol groups tried to pander to their fan base with fanservice while even established groups are still doing that?

How about his one (NSFW)??

How is the first part simply an anime fan-service if that's what happens in real life too? start up celebrities getting shady jobs early in their career are not uncommon.. do you know how many celebrities started up as a gravure idol or some even as porn actress??

Honestly I don't know if you guys are actually PRUDE or maybe watching too much anime has made you like one of those wimpy harem MC who flinched and grossed out at the slight view of anything barely sexual. Seriously, just go back watching kids show if you can't stomach the reality of idol world.

Mostly agreed, although SDN48 probably isn't the most relevant example to use, considering its theme as the adult idol group. That being said, it really is a shame that they disbanded. I rather liked some of their songs.

First thing I thought when I was seeing that scene was, "Man, that could cause them really big trouble later when they are famous." And I really think that this scene wasn't there for nothing, one of those lecherous men can post their spa video to internet later in the show..
But I guess young idols and unexperienced managers tends to do everything that is available to climb up the ladder. And I like this show for trying to reflect that.

Anyway, still no one knows if this is based on true story? Cause seiyuu's and character names are the same.

So you're basically saying it's all right to FORCE girls into doing what they obviously do not want to do (hell, they didn't even know the full description of the job they were about to do thanks to that manager)?

I'll tell you, if Matsuda even read the contract to begin with, WUG would've not accepted the job in the first place. Or maybe you're too blind to see that they're clearly being abused and vandalised, no? You need more ethics and logic on your brain, kid.

Tange's story just seems fishy even with her lies. Even if she was gambling their money away why would she be hanging around in Sendai waiting to come back? There's probably another reason for her actions that might get revealed later.

i don't understand how anyone can watch this and see the scenes of the girls being exploited/uncomfortable and think it's meant to be fanservice??? it's clearly making a comment that harrassing girls and forcing them into situations like that /isn't/ okay, and the idol industry is kind of a creepy place - especially for new girls who don't have much of a name and so can be taken advantage of more easily.

even so... i feel like this anime is conflicted, between wanting to be a genuinely 'gritty' show that is making a point, or being a sweet and 'everything will work out ok!' optimistic and cute show...? i kind of hope it sticks to the former and doesn't end with a 'suddenly everything is fine and ok!' happy ending, because that would kind of subtract from the more serious issues it's trying to explore...

Most of the other comments above pretty much cover the episode. The first half is a disaster for the girls, but the second is redemptive.

I felt for poor Miyu. She was the most starry-eyed of the group and had dreamed of being an idol. She had the farthest to fall in some ways and her disillusionment was hard. I thought the regulars in the maid cafe were pretty cool to encourage Miyu's dreams, even though this means 'losing' her as one of the cafe staff.

The best part of the episode was Suda's beaten face.
