It occurred to me that SUBS FUCKING WHERE? really ought to have a thread where we can specifically talk about and list anime that we personally want to see subtitled above all else. So here's that thread. Let me get the ball rolling by presenting my own list of unsubbed anime that have really peaked my interest - Bio Armor Ryger Bucky: the Incredible Kid Deep Blue Fleet Galaxy Warring State Chronicle Rai Gordian Warrior Judo boy Kamui the Ninja Monster Rancher Once Upon a Time... Life Rolling Star Sasuke Tree in the Sun |

I'll add Gothicmade: Hana no Utame Saiyuki/Saiyuuki Gaiden: Tokubetsu-hen - Kouga no Shou For those who like Saiyuki Gaiden, the 3rd ova of the prequel was released earlier this year on with a direct translation by inao on livejournal (the alternative was an italian to english that was made 2 years ago) It isn't seeded anymore, but you should be able to find it ddl by searching "(EngSub)Saiyuki Gaiden 03(848x480 DVD-R2J x264 AAC).mkv" though I'd get it quick as there will probably be nothing like it again. By the way, Inao offered to translate Kouga no Shou if they got a hold of the disc. |

I have a few I've been waiting on baited breath for: http://myanimelist.net/anime/16183/Lupin_Shanshei Considering how recently it came out, I can't believe subs aren't available. http://myanimelist.net/anime/4504/Kinkyuu_Hasshin_Saver_Kids Sounds like some weird combination of Black Lagoon and cliche shoujo. Do want. http://myanimelist.net/anime/12139/Wanpaku_Tanteidan Rintaro-directed detective anime. Yes, pls. http://myanimelist.net/anime/5343/Monkey_Punch_Manga_Katsudou_Dai_Shashin As an avid Lupin III and Monkey Punch fanatic, this is pretty high on my list. Probably higher than the rest of these, actually. I'd kill. http://myanimelist.net/anime/2577/Tom_Sawyer_no_Bouken Also, Tom Sawyer, the anime. Why hasn't this been subbed yet? It blows my mind. Being WMT, I know it'll happen eventually, at least. But hopefully sooner rather than later. |

http://myanimelist.net/anime/4485/Kasei_Yakyoku I’ve been wanting this for ages as a huge fan of both Akio Sugino and Osamu Dezaki, plus the story sounds very interesting. http://myanimelist.net/anime/6229/Konpeki_no_Kantai It sounds like a cross between LOGH and Votoms, so it sounds right up my street. http://myanimelist.net/anime/9866/Oshin 1. Fan of Sanrio’s animated works from the late 70s to mid 80s. 2. Sounds fascinating. http://myanimelist.net/anime/1485/Aka-chan_to_Boku/ Looks adorable, has a nice style and seems definitely a cool slice of life. http://myanimelist.net/anime.php?id=4680 The composer is a good’un and can’t beat Money Punch of course. http://myanimelist.net/anime.php?id=1853 Looks like an interesting addition to Cutey Honey. http://myanimelist.net/anime.php?id=3152 Interested in Rintaro’s work, and looks fairly surreal. http://myanimelist.net/anime.php?id=5689 Love the designs and the story sounds intriguing. http://myanimelist.net/anime.php?id=4854 Looks cool. http://myanimelist.net/anime.php?id=5267 Huge fan of the duo, and the story and designs look very cool, like a anime version of Mouseguard. http://myanimelist.net/anime.php?id=2694 Tezuka’s boss, and this story looks very similar to Buddha. http://myanimelist.net/anime.php?id=3807 Because one of my favourite composers worked on it, plus I’m a shoujo junkie. http://myanimelist.net/anime.php?id=10236 Because the idea of a Brothers Grimm anime is badass. http://myanimelist.net/anime.php?id=9584 More Mozuki Shigeru is okay by me. http://myanimelist.net/anime.php?id=17339 That boxart reminds me of Drive. http://myanimelist.net/anime.php?id=9292 Who doesn’t love the little Twin Stars? I do, and to have anime about them is relevant to my interests. http://myanimelist.net/anime.php?id=8141 Looks lovely. http://myanimelist.net/anime.php?id=3876 A fairy tale adventure series with designs by Leiji Matsumoto? That's a great list Klonoa! Seems we agree on a lot of things, but I already knew that. In particular Deep Blue Fleet, Tree in the Sun and Adventure of Gamba. But there are some on your list I haven't seen before that really caught my eye, like Brothers Grimm and Download. |

@FastnessofWheels => I doubt there will be any sub of it if nobody has worked on it before. As the show is more than 100EP long it is a lot of work for an anime that may not be appreciated... The film was subbed recently but i don't think the team will go any further in the project For Once upon a time life it's a co-production between France and Japan, so if you are looking for japanese voices raws I think it will be hard as the show was immediately french dubbed at the same time as the show aired... Personnally i've discovered today it was also a Japanese production as i always though it was part of the french animation studios. |

Aw shit. I bumped into this one when trying to find the other Lupin series a few months ago. It piqued my interest too. I found a RAW on NND in pieces but was like "shit, i can't understand 70's ching chong ling long audio through a potato" and left it be. It looks like the video has been removed since. I assume that's how those people saw it. |

I'd like to see: http://myanimelist.net/anime/3159/The_Kabocha_Wine subbed. I don't understand enough Japanese to watch RAW, I get the gist of things, but not enough to fully enjoy it. Someone has tried to sub it, but only 5 eps. |

Lucience said: Someone has tried to sub it, but only 5 eps. I know the translator very well. In fact, he is part of the group I manage now. Due to the length and his lack of time, he simply doesn't want to translate all of the episodes. But he is more than willing to help if another translator joins the project as well (though Saizen has the raws). I've got the translation to the film, though. |

Tsukumo_Yuma said: Osamu Tezuka's Big X Good luck with that... It's near the top of my list of anime that I'd like to see, but I believe getting a raw source of it is a problem, and finding someone willing to translate black and white anime is near impossible. Even the guy at TSHS pays freelance translators, there aren't really any fansubbing translators doing it. But yeah, Big X looks like such an interesting Tezuka anime, not quite like anything else. It's a shame we can't see it. I'd say Tigermask stands a fairly decent chance though, someday. |

You should be glad to know the ball has been rolling again lately, and it might not be unrealistic to expect this to be finished within a couple years, which isn't so bad in classic fansub time. It's personally my second favorite Leiji anime too so I definitely want to see it all as well. I guess we can say progress really is being made with some of our lists. I just keep adding to mine though. Another anime I really want to see is Sanpei the Fisherman. |

PsychoSiren said: Above all else I probably want sazae-San, as it is the longest running anime, ever, then again probably not possible for any group It's not like its really that good. Imagine its the sort of the thing people watch because it makes them feel comfortable, especially as time goes on. Would much rather watch Crayon Shin-Chan if we're gonna go for very long unsubbed series. And heck, I'm pretty sure most of Sazae's episodes are unavailable because the writer never wanted them released. Wanted the only way to watch it is in Japan as its broadcasted on TV, dying wishes and all. |
