| heard a lot about this anime :) shame I started it so late, so I won't be finishing it until tomorrow, but this first chapter was great, Yuu seems like a enigmatic character, the girl (forgot her name) seems to hold so much anger and pain, its really sad, especially the scene with her mother :( |

| The confusion part would probably be the fact that one of the main character seemingly commits suicide. Other than that, there's the ....Dark settling atmosphere in the beginning chapters as someone seemingly has died under the rain ....Mutou Juri of building #3 apparently committed suicide ....Aunt Monica seems to treat the main female character with disgust ....Yuu shares his dark ambitions of what he has gone through before being in prison ...."The greatest burden is when a person is a let down in the middle of their life" ....The world of clergy seem to be a strong ethic All of these factors were part of the first chapter but that's what made it so damn interesting. |

| Actually a very good first chapter. I am somewhat looking forward to seeing where this manga will go with it. Although I am more than just a little scared given its reputation that I will be bawling my eyes out by the end of the day. |

| 1. started reading this because it was ranked top 3 in manga. 2. it was a turn off to see all that dark stuff in the beginning of the chapter mainly b/c i don't even know them well enough to care. they should've eased into those problems by starting at a brighter angle. 3. it only got good when juri said "The greatest burden is when a person is a let down in the middle of their life." 4. ik people have their problems, but if u show me ur shitty side first, i'm not gonna care about u that much, even tho ik people have a good side. if u show me ur good side, then ik ur probably in pain somewhere, and i'll be likely to help. i'm pretty sure this applies to most ppl as well. 4/10 |

Guess some people love sugarcoating, I personally dislike that. Decent start, but.. I hope it's not as predictable as it seems. |

| Hmm, it seems like he recognizes her. I'm excited to find out about their respective pasts and why they both tried to commit suicide and why he committed murders. I don't expect a very happy ending at all. Here come the feels haha |
| Okay beginning. The characters seem mysterious and that tiny flashback Yuu had (with the piano), does Yuu know Juri from before. 3/5 |

| I'm very mixed. Don't like how "poetically forced" the dialogue is wrapped in. However I think a lot of the ideas are interesting, I understand Juri in a bit of a sense and her "betrayal" speech to Yuu. Not sure how real and good this'll get but it has my attention at least. |

| decided to check this manga out because of the high rating, like most of you I see. "It would have been better if you were never born" yeah, I pretty much say those words to myself every time, doesn't matter if I'm sad or happy. It's just a fact. |

| The beginning seems to me that it will refer to the ending in some way but I am not too sure tbh. Someone died I think, but I want to see how this plays out. I think this is a good start, so I will keep going. |

| Juri's line about being let down in the middle of your life being the biggest burden sure left a lasting impression. Really gripping start and something about stories with death row as a plot point are just fascinating to me. And man, the art style is so pretty. |
