I was recently listening to Secret base from Anohana which I usually avoid listening to because it makes me tear-up, I've ended up associating its music and crying lol. But it has been around 3 years since I finished the anime so the impact has reduced quite a bit but while I was listening instead of crying I just got a little teary-eyed but felt immense amount of goosebumps which I loved. Do you have any such incidents with any anime song you love?

The end of an era. Thank you Wit, Mappa and Isayama.

Definitely the song "It's Love" by Rabbit. Mainly because of it being something I osmosised the fuck in from how many times it showed up in every fucking Pokémon VHS tape.

I don't even like the Ranma ½ movie, or even the song, but due to how many times I heard it, it just made me feel "something weird", which meant goosebumps.

@Rhae Yes indeed, Film Red has many good songs, which was expected since it's kind of a music movie and One Piece places high value on music in general.

The 4 maiden songs from Star Driver. I'm not gonna post the songs on their own, cuz they are mixed differently than the way they sound in the anime. In the anime, the songs makes sure the hype is always real.

Can't forget the OP song inserts in JoJo. My personal favorite is So No Chi No Sadame in JoJo part 2.

Finally if no one place it here yet, Black Clover. That song is such a big deal they played it twice in the Black Clover movie in two different action scenes.

Well one I listen to frequently that gave me a similar feeling would be Blade of the Immortals (2008) Ending Song:

https://youtu.be/W19IILWyGXI?si=fkJljwDCoB679WmD

Sadly this series is overshadowed by the Manga and 2019 version which are definitely better but this ending sums up what Manjis fate would be after the manga and it made me feel melancholic.

After finishing Berserk 1997 the Ending Song hit different.

Call me Ghiblifag or whatever but the soundtracks for these movies have to be the best I’ve listened to. Laputa’s Main theme really drew me into the world:

Frieren op2 and ed, Elfen Lied op, NGE op, Chainsaw Man ed 3 and 8, several others. Always had a thing for the Konosuba ed's although I find them extremely calming so opposite of goosebumps I guess. Love the VA's who sing the songs, Rie Takahashi (Megumin), Sora Amamiya (Aqua) and Ai Kayano (Darkness).

I read this question more as an anime song that gives me goosebumps because it scares me, so I'll answer with what's basically Saika's theme song from "Durarara!!" That song is so fucking creepy. Honestly was even scared to listen to it to check if I'd pulled up the right track, but here it is:

There's stuff from the "Death Note," "Devilman: Crybaby," and "Shiki" soundtracks that are also spooky, but those are spooky in a way I can actually stand. This track, on the other hand, is on another level for me.

@Jackof-allspades Same feelings for Berserk. It was my first anime after the Ghibli movies and GITS, and that ending was better and better after every episode. I should really rewatch it and see how it hits after almost 6 years.

well there are a TON of ost that give me goosebumps, and it would take me days of searching to put em all together. but the first naruto ed - wind - makes me literally feel sick with nostalgia. same deal with the intro guitar riff from ouran high school host club's ed (shissou)

for movies, the intro theme for origin: spirits of the past transports me to another headspace:

Listening to the 1st OP of the original "Initial D 1st stage" from 1998 kinda give me goosebumps like listening to an old song you haven't heard in decades.

Even back in the early 2000s when I 1st saw this OP for an Anime reminded me as if "C+C Music Factory" and "The Chemical Brothers" gave birth to a Japanese Baby spawn. Super Eurobeat is just the kind of music you would expect to hear if you were to go out night clubbing in the mid 90s with a bunch of friends to some Gay club that is mostly known for trying to pick up straight women who simply go to Gay clubs just to dance without having to worry about men trying to hit on them in the 1st place. It's exactly the kind of music you would hear at a place where if you wanted to actually go to use the bathroom you would use the mens room while the womens bathroom is mostly known for people to use to go use illegal drugs no matter if they are male or female.

@Gashadokur0 Honestly, I'm a bit sad most people only bring up this ones, cause made in abyss has like 5-10 other tracks that are just as good or better than this one.

Not that this isn't peak music, It's just that I wish the other tracks weren't so underrepresented
