| Rud is so lucky to have such loving friends and family around him. He feels right at home. He and Manica seems to be very close too. Not sure how I feel about Luna in this show yet but she seems out of place at times. Now that they've introduced the main cast, it seems they're trying to flesh out everyone's personalities as much as possible. Luna seems to want to be close to Rud. |

| I didn't think we'd get to Avancier so fast, but here we are. After a long time, Rud finds solace in his hometown. However, Luna seems unable to shake off her nervousness. Upon returning home, his beloved younger sister, Manisha, prepares a home-cooked meal and eagerly awaits her brother's return. Despite Manicia's somewhat aloof demeanor, Rud is completely affectionate. And as Rud engages in interactions with his siblings, Luna gradually starts to open up her heart. Having a "jewel inside the human body" planted on the outside of a created human, especially one considered "illegal." But man, being abandoned as a kid along with his sister explains why she's sticking to him like glue. Rud should totally form a new party and find happiness, but that last panel got me wondering if his sister might end up traveling with him despite her sickness. It'd be really sweet. I'm just baffled why the appraiser girl can't just look at the sister to figure out what's wrong. Maybe it's some super powerful ability that's making her sick – like too much mana that her body can't handle. |

| as much as i want to call this "poor man's Shield Hero", considering the rest of that series, i'll probably like this more by the end lol AND of course... can't have a medieval fantasy anime without the obligatory OP Knight Girl whos way more competent than the rest of the dumb ass dude knights |

| It didn’t take long and we’re already at Rud’s hometown, and we got to see the fabled little sister that he loves so much, Manicia, and I can’t blame the guy, she is very cute lol, especially with that ahoge that has a mind of its own, I was thinking it was just a stylistic thing but no there was an actual reason for it lol. We also met some other folks from the village, including Milena who is the blacksmith’s daughter, and the knight girl Fille, two nice babes for sure. And speaking of Milena, her dad really got me with his granddaughter line lol, reminds me of that one meme “ahaha Jonathon, you are banging my daughter”. And later on we saw Fille and Rud have a mock battle where Rud tested out his newly found skill, and he immediately saw results when he literally blew Fille back, it’s safe to say he’s about to become a tank that has a cannon as well lol. And it was also nice to see Luna decided to stop keeping the fact that she’s a homunculus a secret and decide to try living as a human, Rud was definitely the best person she could have run into and I look forward to seeing her tackle a labyrinth with him, assuming that this is where it’s going, I mean the title has “labyrinth raids” in it after all lol. |
| Oh wow this episode was even better than the first. They’re doing a good job selling the characters here. Starting things off, it was so cute seeing Luna and Manicia interact. I thought they would have a contentious relationship considering how the episode started and how close Manicia and Rud are, but they ended up getting on very well. Luna picked up cooking very fast thanks to her homunculi origins. Speaking of which, nice of Rud to not ruin things for her and allow Luna to come to him with that info, even though he already knew what she was. That took a lot of strength from her and I’m glad he didn’t deny her that opportunity By the end of the episode Luna and Manicia are both close and cheering on Rud in the sparring match, which he of course came out on top of. Manicia's ahoge wagging around during the fight was so cute manicia and rud's backstory looks pretty sad. no wonder they were so close after going through all of that together. people talking about throwing manicia away was really hard to listen to.. I guess next week will be her time for some development. She thinks she's a burden on her brother which clearly isn't the case! |

| Manicia kawaii, having Ogura Yui voice her was perfect. That antena btw lol, cute. Rud's friends from his village are all nice people. Luna told him about her secret too. Luna stuff was wholesome, I hope she finds happiness with them. Rud's ability is strong as expected. |

| Both Rud and Luna are back in Avancia, and are greeted by blacksmith Milena and shy town wtach sub-leader Fille. Rud definitely feels right at home where he once came from. Manicia definitely feels threatened when the sis-con brought her back home, but all is well, and the visual appeal of tomatoes is what reminds him of home. Despite that, Luna feels out of place trying to learn civil life, and no need for apologies, just a learning heart of patience and care on life skills, especially for a homunculus whose heart magic stone is still wary. Rud showing Luna around Avancia, some of which reminds of her harsh times. Despite that, everyone joking acknowledged Rud bringing Luna home as his partner who's finally over his sis-con, and Luna's quite the beauty to be taken care of. Fact is, he knew that Luna is one, and because of Manicia, Rud learnt what it means to live as a human, and Luna should be the same regardless of her homunculi traits, since their goals both align to obtain the Secret Treasure. Therefore, Luna starting by revealing her true self to Manicia first, she accepts it with grace. And Manicia is defintely very popular in Avancia, and Rud wants to duel with Fille to test his tank powers, which certainly proved his new Life Conversion powers, and Fille getting stronger as well. But Manicia's own health issues, will Rud have enough time to find the Secret Treasure to heal her sickness? Better hope is quick. |

| It feels kind of generic but not bad...animation is SEVERELY lacking but as a VN game on Steam it'd be okay. Still to early to tell and I bet whoever is animating is buster their butts to do it. Larger studios I'd grill but I'm still trying to get used to this. Not as bad as the new habit of large studios to do this weird half cgi/half cell shade choppy stuff that's giving me a literal headace and eye strain. |

| Rud is actually a siscon. I should've realized that last episode. Manicia and Luna are cute. Townsfolk teasing Rud about Luna. Lmao Rud and other men racing to get Manicia's Tea. All three had rough backgrounds. I hope that Manicia can get better and Luna will lead a happier life in the village. |

| @ST63LTH No, I think the damage subtracted from his own shield's life is the damage reflected back when he attacks. He can store the damage taken too. So 5000 damage to his shield means, 5000 damage from his sword. Or if he keeps absorbing damage, it can go much higher than that. Using his other skill, if he's absorbing damage from other party members, he can attack even without taking damage himself directly, as long as someone is taking damage in the party. At-least that's my understanding of his skillset. |
