| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Not going to lie, Balaban Al-Kaplan actually kinda scares me. Such an intimidating man. I'm actually kinda impressed that Mahmut was able to maintain so calm when faced with that guy. Glad to see they properly introduced Ayse Armut this episode. A very important character of this series. |

| Balaban Al-Kaplan really doesn't like his brother. He thinks he's a coward. He even burned down the building his brother was hiding in. It's weird he has this fascination for beautiful faces. The inspection was a bit intense. Cyrus used the fountain as a distraction for their escape, but then they ran right into Eleanor. |

| Looks like Balaban is interested in beautiful boys. So his that kind of a ruler. Mahmut and his group ran into Eleanor of all people. Since Balaban is in league with the Empire, it gives justification for the coup d'etat. |

| So much stuff happened and going so fast its crazy. The Red Sultan guy sure is weird, only wanting a beautiful men in his personal guard squad, no wonder they're all bitch duds who got knocked out by a single tall dude. That girl Ayse sure has a beautiful design. Was looking forward to see her animated since I saw her in the manga. |

| They have a lot of balls trying to go against this Red Sultan guy, he looks and seems really scary. Their escape was almost successful but now they have to deal with Eleanor. |

| Loved the episode! It went a bit too fast for my taste with the first bit of the episode and the younger brother of the sultan (His and the princess of sort design's look great!) Though his VA being the same as Shirou from Apocrypha makes me wary, I like the VA but it just seems just as suspicious xD Liking how things are advancing, Abiriga is a beast! Some angles were weird.. And is it just me or do they just can't decide on Kiro's design? From the opening, to close shots and far-away shots.. It always looks "off". The OP and ED have REALLY grown on me and I love them both now, I just start singing along when it starts, haha. Never thought I'd enjoy this show this much from the first episodes, I'm glad I was wrong. just hoping they'll slow down a bit. |

| For this to be a 2-cour series...why does it seem like they are rushing through everything each week? Like holy crap guys...slow down. I can't even remember half of the shit that was named in this. What are they adapting like 6 chapters per episode? Also..that Princess is hot. |

| The situation has gotten more and more complicated. I wonder what Mahmut Bay intends to do... will he make it in time to unite the federation or will a war break out first. Also, would he be willing to set off coup d'etats being such a pacifist. |

| Pacing of last week's episode was on par with first episode, and this episode was not any different. The show needs to slow down. |

| Considering the issues with the pacing again and someone mentioned the word jazz luckily in this thread, it looks like a good chance to make Whiplash references here :P If this keeps up, they'd kill much of the potential it has in store. |
