| I can't believe Toei had to cut off the real conclusion of this manly duel into the next episode! :/ Would have been perfect if this episode ended with Señor's backstory was really depressing... But this episode still feels incomplete thanks to Toei cutting off the episode where it really should have brought impact. ._. Oh, and Leo. Get a clue, you blockhead of a Tontatta! xD |
| Was gonna give it a (4/5) due to Toei cutting off the conclusion to the fight but the material for Senior Pink's backstory is so poignant and mesmerising that it left that classic One Piece Greatness impression anyway; highlighting the emotional resonance/impact is always good. (5/5) |
| WE DON'T GET THE FULL FLASHBACK? REALLY? That's really disappointing. The way the chapter ended was beautiful. Still loved the flashback. Such a incredible way to justify a grown man wearing a baby outfit. Only One Piece would do this. Didn't like how they changed Lucy-Anne to Russian. What kind of name is Russian??? Apparently all 3 names: Pink, Russian and Gimlet are names of cocktails that contain alcohol. Oda stated in SBS of volume 78 that he chose those names for word play. Leo is like a dense harem MC lol Didn't care for the Luffy vs Bellamy stuff. At least it didn't last to long. While I'm salty that we didn't get the entire chapter adapted this episode didn't really feel that long. Didn't realize the episode was about to end until the "to be continued" screen showed up. Edit: Franky's red cyborg eye looked so badass! Also liked how even after revealing Franky's weakness Senor Pink still didn't smash Franky on his back XD |

Also the title of the chapter is "To Russian, with Love" making the connection with the 007 movie "From Russia with Love". Senor Pink Smashed Franky in the Back, the impact made him roll and end with the back in the air, but is obvious that the impact was made in the back by the smoke that is coming from there. |
| Amazing episode, didn't feel dragged at all. Senor Pink's backstory was really heartfelt and impacting even if they cut off the conclusion into the next episode. Only One Piece can justify giving such a big meaning to something as small as a bonnet. |

It just reminds you that the world isn't always going to black and white. A man can be apart of the pirate mafia, and still be a great husband and loving father. You can spare some sympathy, and then think about how this man's part of the crew that instigated a massacre. Even after all that heart break. It just adds a little more depth and I love the occasional moral ambiguity. That said, this episode was great overall. I think I heard some new music in there, and the animation quality was above average. That spinning shot as Senior Pink tackled Franky was so awesome. |

It also makes sense that he was laying on his front, look at some german suplex moves on youtube and you'll see plenty examples of how they flip to the face after the impact. |

Fucking toei once again butchered a great chapter by pulling us off from all the feels and not finishing the fight. Fuck. Next week it won't be as impactful as it would have been today. It will feel like some leftovers from previous episode instead of an emotional climax. Fuck Toei. I'm used to them butchering One Piece, but this episode pissed me off like none before. |

| The manly fight between Franky and Señor Pink continues. It was the first time I've heard about Franky's weak point. Also, Señor Pink's background story with his wife Russian, who lost her smile, and his son, who died, was sad. |

| That was a fantastic episode, which I wasn't really expecting to enjoy so much because of certain details.. but I loved it. I broke down when Russian reacted to Senor in Gimlet's baby outfit. T_T I agree with the criticism that says that this part of the story should have been done in one go, instead of letting it continue next week, as the impact will lessen, and even worse, mixing it up with another part of the story (Diamante it seems, from the preview) is not a good choice imo. The final one-liner from Franky in the manga is a perfect end for this hard-boiled fight. If only an anime episode is not restricted to the 24 minute time frame.. if only.. Franky's terminator eye was damn scary. |

I hope after the next episode aired, someone make an AMV for Senor Pink, it would be glorious. |
