----------------------------------------
Ahh, another really good episode. This is turning into my favorite series this season, I think. I got a bit misty-eyed during it :) Again, poor Shouta. And wow, poor Asuna. I like how one letter leads to the next which leads to the next. And it looks like episode 3 continues examining the effects of what happened in these episodes. I admit I am amused by their use of that building with the giant bowling pin on it. I saw a building just like that when I was in Japan last November, and thought it was funny but I was on a train at the time, and couldn't get a photo of it :(

Anyway, I also like the opening and ending themes a lot. Can't wait for episode 3!

HOLY!!! Episode 1-2 is a MASTERPIECE! I can't believe it's going to be this good. I look forward for episode 3!

I don't like the opening, it doesn't fit the series (IMO). I'm not really a fan of ALI project, though I like some of their songs. But the ending's the best! I'll hate anyone who don't like it.

It seems the fansub group Kagami has picked this show up, they recently put episodes 1 and 2 on Animesuki subbed...

Just watched ep 2 subbed by Kagami, it was well done and certainly better than the FTP-A group (who I watched the first episode from). Enjoyed this episode alot more than the first, and I'm liking how everythings tying together as more is revealed.

Fantastic plot, fantastic characterization, fantastic direction, fantastic music and fantastic animation. Definitely the best animé of this season, I can't wait to watch the 3rd episode now !

This show really surprised me. I was really blown away by how awesome the first two episodes where. Everything was done really well from the animation to music. Im not a fan of the OP however since Im so sick of ALI project having the same damn sound to everyone of their songs.

Does anyone know if the end of the second ep was censored for Broadcast like the third was? I found it strange that there was no blood after Asuna got shot.

This series is not letting me down, I love it. The animation, background music (didn't really like the op or ed but I usually skip them anyway), and plot. Everything was wrapped up nicely and I liked how the first episode built up Asuna as a villain in the conclusion then she was redeemed in this one. Also, Fumika is bad ass.

There's still one little detail she never answered. Why the hell did she stab him to begin with?

I think it was because she freaked out when she discovered that someone knew she killed her father. I don't think this is as great as everyone says it is but it's still preety good. I'm going to keep watching.

I kinda think so too, but from the way he was talking you'd think she wouldn't have instantly turned into a stab maniac (I can't blame the younger policeman for shooting). But I guess she also had that repressed hate/envy inside her subconcious. Makes a little more sense once I start thinking about it.

Either way, this isn't a super-masterpiece, but it's satysfying expectations (or surpassing them in some ways). If they keep it up it can be end up a good series, in an otherwise average season.

Episode 2 was really well-done. And I really like everything in the first and second episode, except for the opening. I'm really starting to hate ALI project. Well, at first, I thought their songs are awesome (the first music theme I've heard from them is the opening theme of Rozen Maiden). But, it's really getting annoying now. ALL of their songs have the same tune, and it's starting to annoy me. And the opening theme doesn't fit Shigofumi (IMO).

I've gotten used to it and it doesn't seem that bad after hearing it like 20 times.
I still hate Ali Project though.

Same here for Ali project, all the song seems similar and it doesn't match with Shigofumi I think

So far a 7ish show to me. Nothing awesome to it, in my opinion. I have grown accustomed to 'shocking' themes. Elfen Lied was a landmark, it seems. Shame is that it'll probably turn out to be 'double' or 'triple' episode anime with no main plot. Opening theme was just plain annoying. Still, good animation but plot needs polishing.

Great episode. Asuna was really a good person in the end. I was almost sad when she got shot. And i can't say she didn't have a good reason for killing her father either...

I'm really surprised with this show, it's much better than i expected.

Best anime of the season so far, imo. Fumika's cool, and I like how there's so much depth to the characters. I actually like that the series seems to be in 2-3 episode arcs. Short but well executed stories help keep my interest. :P

I too don't like Ali Project--Shigofumi could've had a better OP. ED suits it perfectly, though.

Bah, I hate being right when it's about such sad things as poor girls being molested with porn and modeling, booo.

But, I concur, this episode was really good and almost brought tears to my eyes. She was an awesome psycho, but well-deserved and so loving towards her sister and totally awesome with the short hair.

I really liked this episode, makes me sad to hear that the third one will be altered.

Yay for PROJECT ALI opening song. The instrumentals is always good for a dark mood like this.

Definitely my favorite winter season judging from the 2 episodes so far. Hopefully, episode 3 is as good due to that recent events in Japan. This anime have a good chance get picked to air on North American TV but it's only 12 episodes.

Still, I'm expecting more out of this series. Wonder what's next for the kawaii imouto?

Interesting premise. I wonder if we'll begin to get more of a plot, or if it will just continue to go around with letters being delivered.

These first two episodes are the strongest opening salvo for a series I've seen in a long long time. I'm a fan of J.C. Staff's work and I hope they can keep this level of energy and quality up. I am perfectly happy with a show made up of individual unrelated stories about people getting letters delivered to them. It reminds me of Kino no Tabi, not just the character designs, but the feel of the story as well which is a big plus in my book.

The difference being the OP song for Noir was actually good. After Rozen Maiden, every anisong Ali Project has done has been pretty crappy, and this one is no exception. Sigh. I used to like their stuff too.

I was thinking that too... Fumika reminds me A LOT of Kino and that staff is a long, skinny version of that motorcycle, right? ...Well, I really liked Kino's Journey, so I'll keep watching this for a while too.

Great episode indeed, I find it oddly paralyzing that the roof on which Shouta worked on his rocket belonged to the very same building the pictures of Asuna were taken in.

Loving it, can't wait for more.

this episode was a nice ending to their story. I honestly though she was going to kill her self or something before watching this ep but once the cops where introduced then I figured she would get shot or something.

Its interesting to see that the shigofumi letters don't have to be letters they can be physical objects too, like a Gun lol.

O_O That short hair was pretty cool. I like somewhat more ''heavy'' anime so now and then... That gun is pretty cool. I didn't know some people can see Fumika. Anyway, I wonder what Asuna's letter said... Poor Miku.

I recognized the OP as the same feeling as the Rozen Maiden OP's and I was right xD It doesn't really seem to fit on some sort of way. Oh well, it's not that bad...

I'm guessing her letter told her sister that she was the one that killed their dad, since during this episode she mentioned something about it being time she told her sister what happened. I feel bad for the sister, shes alone now with no one :(.

This is pretty interesting and emotional. Although it's not a masterpiece and I think it's being a bit overrated. Very sad though, I felt really bad for Shouta. I'll stick to this since, well, I survived Shinigami no Ballad, and it was a lot weaker than this. I hope we get some sort of plot too, instead of she just delievering letters to random people.

Just started this series. I thought it'd be amazing judging from the comments, so maybe I my expectations were a bit too high. It's an ok anime, but nothing exceptional.
And it reminds me unpleasantly of Jigoku Shoujo.
