| After all the crap Medaka put Zenkichi through last arc i was kind of hoping Emukae would be picked (even tho i knew it would never happen) tho that said, Zenkichi wasn't joking, that Rejection was epic; still feel bad for Emukae tho, it doesn't seem like she will let go of her feelings just like Kumagawa said, even tho she lost, she will still hang on to them. |

| he used book maker to make that techie girl experience the same horrible feelings he'd been going through. Medaka was able to withstand it because her mind was already filled with darkness in the beginning (see the flask plan arc) |

| So we got a color page of something I seriously want to make my background but can't because my mom might walk in & see it. We got tears & laughs from an epic rejection that was inevitable. We got a fight that end in one blow & the lovable loser won. And finally..................... Yeah,best shonen chapter of the week. |

| HAND BRAS. OH YEAH. Man Zenkichi with that epic rejection. I love how he says to "Come over here so I can reject you but in an epic way!" and stabs himself. Wow that was just over the top! Although I do like Medaka x Zenkichi I kind of wish they didn't make it so obvious that it was going to be the pairing. I mean I kind of like having it kind of open where sure he can like Medaka but still can have other girls come in as competition. I guess I'm just to used to a lot of romance animes out there. I know it's more of a battle-type manga but I do love the touch of romance aspect in Medaka Box as well. BUT YEAHH Kumagawa won without losing this time! Or did he? It seems as though he was hoping for Emukae's feelings of love to hop to him but she's still stuck on Zenkichi. It's just an unrequited love for Emukae D: Unless of course he was joking. Either way fantastic chapter! |

It makes the opponent exactly like Kumagawa, ability-wise, strength-wise, talent-wise, all that. And it's quite obvious there's little chance you'd be able to withstand such Minus. Only Kumagawa knows how to live with it. Medaka was only able to stand it because Kumagawa didn't realize himself how strong resolve he had, fighting for his Minus companions. Get it? As for the chapter... I dunno, I'm kind of disappointed with it. First of - Kumagawa saves the day. The most popular character steals the spotlight of the less popular ones. I hate when that happens. I do enjoy Kumagawa but heck, he's already badass cool, now work on the other characters! Why couldn't it have been KOGA? You know, she was only THE FIRST AND ONLY FRIEND OF NAZE MORE IMPORTANT TO HER THEN HER RESEARCH, HONOR AND POLICY. Oh yeah, and A CRAZY-STRONG ANDROID. But other than that, she only SAVED THE F*CKING WORLD FROM KUMAGAWA BY BEING MORE RIGHT THAN MEDAKA HERSELF IN CHAPTER 78, so I guess she doesn't really have anything going for her... Second - the style of Kugurugi kind of disappointed me. I guess it's because there was so much build-up to it and in the end it turned out to be USING DIFFERENT MEANINGS OF WORDS THAT SOUND THE SAME. Again - don't get me wrong, it is pretty interesting, but I guess they raised my expectations a bit too high. And do you really tell me nobody could figure it out? You just say what she did and then it occurs to you that the other meaning of the same word is present too! Third - the color pages completely wasted on pointless fanservice. I would much rather see some epic fighting scene, or Emukae's confession in color instead. Damn you, Shounen Jump! There's much more to us, shounens, than porn-thirst! Seriously, I think Japanese boys are treated like idiots. I still love the manga though. Every chapter is just INTENSE, no more words needed to describe it. |

| Medaka was also able to with stand Bookmaker because of her own dark past, also she knows that Kumagawa isn't really that weak and fights for a lot. Kumagawa was basically DBZ style fighting Medaka with only his normal abilities (running up the clocktower) since he had traded in All Fiction for Bookmaker, he's easily the 3rd strongest character in this manga behind Medaka and Ajimu, even if he doesn't act like it or thinks so himself. The color pages was to show Kumagawa's new trend, it's also a throwback to the color pages of the results for the 2nd popularity poll that Kumagawa romped home in, just with Bra Jeans replacing Naked Aprons. As Kumagawa says this time "I'm aiming for the cover!". Anyway seems Kumagawa was too pissed to even throw up any pretense of "losing yet really winning" like he typically does. |

She's just that much stronger and faster than anyone in the group except Kumagawa. Naze got flashy abilities, she's like a mage, there's no way she can take on a physical type character that can close the gap between them before she even started doing a move. Also I just remembered Zenkichi's devil style makes it that he wouldn't met his opponent in a 'weak to strong' order so she might really be the strongest of the suitors. |

| lmao at this chapter. Hand Bra Jeans & Zenkichi's most epic rejection were both hilarious, especially Zenkichi's. I do agree with eworm about Kugurugi's ability being a let down but I disagree about Kumagawa. He was bad-ass this chapter & I thought it was awesome. |
