Ashbey and bertini died. Sad that bertini will never be able to make up with his wife. Some good action we got this ep. Interesting development at the end
"...our faces marked by toil, by deceptions, by success, by love; our weary eyes looking still, looking always, looking anxiously for something out of life, that while it is expected is already gone – has passed unseen, in a sigh, in a flash – together with the youth, with the strength, with the romance of illusions.” - Joseph Conrad ('Youth')

yeah, didn't see the end coming.

I really hope this isn't an Earth cult conspiracy. Please be petty corruption.

Whoever is behind it all, I'm surprised Rosas died so soon. The sender of the letters obviously wants the truth uncovered. If the government killed Rosas to keep this from happening, it is like announcing to Yang that there is in fact a secret. And it's not like Yang will think that the letter-sender who initiated the investigation was the one who hindered it. So... I'm not sure any faction had a reason to kill him.

I'm starting to feel a vibe similar to when I used to play "Clue" with my friends. An interesting turn of events in this small whodunit.

If the murder did kill Rosas to silence him, why wait until now? Like why was it that the fear of him leaking something didn't arise until 40 years later . . . Anyways I'm kind of hoping that this goes back to Yang Wenli and his accomplishments rather than focusing on Ashbey . . .

That reveal that Rosas died, wow.

It was someone enlisted in the FPA who shot Ashbey I presume.

Novels I have read/am reading pending approval: since November 10 2022

Too bad that Bertini had to die but I'm glad Ashbey did, I hate that type of guy.

It's strange seeing talented FPA Admirals dominate their foes, we're so used to seeing it on the imperial side with Lohengramm's camp.

I actually like the older design of the Imperial Ships. They have a refined antique look in the shape of a Flintlock Pistol. See Napoleon's gun for comparison. I never like the stealth bomber/curved bottom design we see later on some of the flagships like Perceval and Brünhild. On the other hand, the blocky brutalist gritty green of the FPA ships in the OVA suited them better imo.

I didn't quite get what Ashbey did to turn the tide of the battle *so* drastically. Oh well, it was sad to see him get practically assassinated like that - although the danger of him forming a military state was certainly there.

This mystery is quite interesting. Saw Dusty Attenborough in the preview, can't wait to see him!

When Fang mentions "small tactics," I feel like that can be considered like micromanagement in RTS games.

best episode in this part so far.

something tells me that yang was on to something. if my assumption are correct (this isn't spoiler since it's only a guess) it's has something to do with berton.
usually the anime show us important deaths, but we didn't saw this one.
also, the fact that ashbei's ship had been hit by "stray bullet" (more like stray laser. lol) while. being guarded is very strange.
and now rosas died, just right after talking to yang?
something really is smelly. . .

the OST when the 730 mafia gets the news about ashbei's death. damn that was great.

I can't believe the Imperials lost SIXTY ADMIRALS, and the Alliance lost one of its most competent leaders at the time, god what an absolutely chaotic and barbaric battle, I think it's one of the most brutal battles in the entire series if I'm not mistaken
