Heh, despite the strange circumstances, I like how these kids are keeping their spirits up in that world. Seeing more of Hikari's storytelling reminds me of the old Digimon Adventure.

Seeing Taichi and Yamato fight together is pretty dope, almost like watching two guys take down a video game boss.

What a great episode as usual. The kids’ chemistry is really starting to come together. Never fails that we’ll have an orochi in an anime

Takeru seems too young for the fight, younger than the original if I remember correctly. Maybe he's without his usual hat. Strange that I don't feel anything wrong with Hikaru. Girl surely grows faster than boy.

Anyway, another episode that glorify Taichi and Yamato relationship. Taichi has to quickly change from 'us' to 'with Agumon and Gabumon too' when he realized his encourage words have a hidden romantic meaning.

Cool episode. There's not much to tell anyway. Better fight than last week, though I still find it somewhat ridiculous that 6 ultimate digimon had trouble fighting 1 ultimate digimon lol. The dynamic between the 6 children is.... ok. There's nothing particularly remarkable aside from Taichi and Yamato combo attack. When the tv screens showed both of them, I thought it was another Our War Game reference. And again with the countdown, the entire reboot started with a countdown and now there is another?

It seems that Devimon will make an appearance in the next episode. And the crest of hope will appear before Takeru. So the anime still decide to keep the Angemon and Devimon showdown? I'm quite curious about Hikari though. It seems that she's holding something as well. I wonder if it's her crest.

Ehh, Eyesmon had fun and unique ability. Orochimon just shoots water a whole bunch. I wish it never evolved tbh.

Did Tai's mom just abandoned her car in the middle of the street?

Digimon sometimes being much more powerful than their level indicates is nothing new tho, see Lucemon. Also if I understand it right, Eyesmon ate a shitload of data, so that might have caused the huge power-up.

This episode was very sexy. But somehow I feel like Eyesmon was more trouble than Orochimon, lol.

Always nice to see Weregarurumon on action.

Yeah, the episode was okay.
I really love Palmon in this reboot haha :)
While I would've liked to see the others taking ot the other heads instead of just telling us they will, the final blow was good enough.
Kinda suprised they're pulling the countdown card again.

UNfortunately? What do you have against Omegamon? He's such a cool Digimon. If anything, I wish he got a lot MORE screentime. We hardly see him in the franchise as a whole!

Anyway, I really enjoyed this one. Orochimon was a surprise and was very cool. It's a much more respectful rendition of this digimon than his other appearance in
.

I do wish that the other team members had a bit more going on in this one and that the fight was a little more detailed and intense, but since this seems to be another mid-boss, I guess it is OK. We will have to wait and see in the next episode.

I think we have too, since Eyesmon/Orochimon has reach the mega level in the preview. Him being at mega, probably outclass the kids normal mega's. Plus, the anime will save it for their separate episodes, similarity to the ultimate evolution episodes from 10 to 15 So Omegamon appearance here wouldn't be bad, since the other children haven't met or seen him. Nidhoggmon the new boss monster they have to take down, I'm betting Omegamon will be the answer to that conclusion.

I would of probably done the same, after awhile being stuck in the road, while other folks leave in droves.

Since everyone was complaining the children ultimate's were taking down wild ultimate's down so easily. I'm glad all ultimate are not equal.

I'm wondering where is Patamon, but I've been reading people comments on a possible theory that Devimon himself is Patamon/Angemon.

I think Hikari role in this arc is to help her brother grant access to Omegamon again, to defeat Nidhoggmon next episode.

As an OG fan, I cringe a bit when I thought Orochimon was done for, after a single Gigastorm in the face, but that finisher move with Giga Destroyer brought so much excitement for a old fan.

Angewomon appearing is very doubtful, but possibly Angemon tho. We just haven't seen Gatomon herself yet. Hikari role probably just to help Omegamon evolution.

I'm also one of the person who is not particularly anticipate the reappearance of Omegamon. I have nothing against Omegamon in general, it's just that he is a powerful Digimon and his appearance will surely outshine the other digimons, which have been underwhelmed in the beginning. If anything, I wish he will only show up at crucial time. For now, Orochimon (and its mega form) is not really the final boss so I find it ridiculous to have Omegamon now. Why not emphasize more on the others, at least they deserve to reach mega too.

It would be better if they establish the power dynamic among digimon. There's little to no tension when facing an enemy digimon so I don't know how to feel when they are fighting. All I can see that they are fighting a higher level Digimon, and it's all because Koushiro and his laptop said so. Why are they powerful? What makes them stronger? Why Eyesmon, a Champion, can bring so much trouble to the kids? What makes him different from all the digimons which were being controlled that the kids have fought before? Sure there're reasons that it had absorbed the data and is the mini-boss, but the anime has never outright stated it. We just assume that it is what it is. Even prior to Eyesmon's episode, we weren't giving any information regarding it or Devimon, or any evil digimon organization that in the shadow, it always felt like the kids just randomly encountered a bad digimon and they had to fight it. I agree that even Ultimate Digimon can be diverse in terms of power, but the show should at least explain it.

I actually like the theory that Devimon will be Patamon. It has a certain fresh air to it. I hope it's real lol

Unfortunately, cause Omegamon single handedly invalidates everyone not called Taichi and Yamato. This reboot is already shafting the other kids enough as it is, we don't need an Omegamon appearance every 13 episodes or so :/

What's this? The humans having a character moment? In my Digimon Adventure reboot?! /s

I kinda liked how they managed to give both digimon and humans their own opinions on things without it being the usual "digimon just cheers up their partner" like with Adventure. It makes them feel more like characters (of course this is because the humans are getting the shaft this time) and it's nice to see. Also I like how the separated Yamato and Taichi, but for no real reason. What did them being separate do for those two? It allowed the other four to think independently, but weren't they already? Allowing Jyou to be more leader-like was good tho.

The biggest flaw was the fight, dear gods the fight was the lamest thing. It'd be fine if you the attacks actually had impact! Every attack felt like it was simply happening rather having an "oomph" to them and Orochimon didn't really do much. Like others have said, what is it about evolving allowed it to be better than Eyesmon who could meld into the data and split off into chunks and thus evade death. Evolving actually made it easier to kill. Again, the pacing is causing problems because the fight should have been 2 damn episodes, 1 for the characters, 1 for the setup and fight. Trying to cram it all into one is starting to get annoying. You have 66 episodes, ffs!

And also:
Where is Yagami Susumu at? Was he at work so the parents decided to meet up the grandma's home? Why do we gotta get another scene involving Hikari getting separated by a crowd? I felt like this show used that already.

Where are Takeru's parent(s)? Why is he home alone, at night? Is he still living with mom or maybe both? Gimme some answers here! Also, how dare the reboot hide the best parent character's face. If we can see Yuuko, we can see Hiroaki, damn it.

Next ep is Hikari and Takeru's turn, finally.

Hear, hear! This is exact same problem I had here and with Adventure. Sad to see that's not getting fixed here despite this reboot being purposely more action-based.

I doubt it's time yet. Omegamon's appearance was specifically for the Our War Game remake; I don't think we're gonna see our boi until after we get Ultimates. And we can't have the arrow scene until Ange(wo)mont make their debut. And especially not for Devimon of all digimon. So we got time yet. now watch me be wrong

This episode was really great. They all worked togethet to achieve the victory but looks like it ain't the end of it. A countdown to Tokyo's doom? How will they stop it.

Also finally Takeru and Hikari's gonna join them in digital world. Can't wait to see Patamon and Gatomon.

The Digital World just got more rowdy with Ultimate Digimon Orochimon, and Tokyo's doom couldn't have come sooner than expected...what an extremely difficult battle to face for Taichi and Co. The desire for both Taichi and Yamato to defeat it is real, but now's not the time to act rash...while time isn't on their side.

Teamwork is the ONLY answer if the original clique are to make it through this infamy of a mess surroudning bad Digimon and trespassing into their world with data.

The flashy Super Animations are back, and this is one of the instances I can say that it's closer to the original.

Tokyo's doom...in a countdown, this is NOT good at all. But Takeru and Hikari's involvement next episode will change things up for the better.

Great episode, and one of the rare ones where it excels in quality.

So is Orochimon the first boss? And only live two episodes? But the kids had fought a tough uphill battle with it. It felt like a midterm test for the six digimons, and they just scraped a pass. The attack from Weregarurumon didn't work against Orochimon at all, and amazingly Giga Destroyer from MetalGreymon could be switched freely between missiles and flames.

Devimon can be seen in the trailer. And the feather scenes, does it is signaling the return of Omegamon? My bet is that the enemies who intervened in the real world will be beaten down by Omegamon. In contrast, the digital world's evil digimons will be reserved for the kids and their partners to grind.

PS: can't the production team make more evolution scenes apart from Agumon and Gabumon……?

Okay but you know what's great about this episode? The fact that Omegamon wasn't the one to save the day. I was seriously expecting them to fuse again but I'm so glad everyone worked together to fight Orochimon. A pleasant surprise.

Takeru finally appeared and it looks like him and Hikari are gonna get their digivices next episode and Devimon's finally making a move himself. Great episode and Eyesmon/Orochimon was a good warmup for what's coming next.

Although I have to say, Devimon's just a champion level digimon and the rest of the cast are pretty much in their ultimate forms already lmao. I wonder how this will turn out.
