Damn...this episode gave me the feels. With the aftermath of that fight and death of Gin, the cherry mood is gone. Actually, there was even an outburst from one of the younger boys.

Kinda liked the music used this episode as a way to depict the reality of losing someone. At least Washio and Sonoko are finding some fun at the local festival..

Strong episode and very touching.
It was rough on the girls and Gin's family, her little brother was devastated.
And worse of all even during the ceremony they where attacked.

The girls will have it a lot harder now without Gin and the question is how will they perform from now on.
Next episode will probably be intense.

Considering what would happen next will I going to be able survive this?

Those raw emotion really is touching deep to me. No matter how much I've watch it or how I cn see it coming I'm still crying in the end. Everything is just perfect.

Also they change the animation for ED again which is great.

Another thing is OST is on point as usual.

The feels was strong in this one and next episode will be stronger.

Gin's death was hard on her family, especially her brother.

When the Vertex appeared in the middle of the ceremony and Wasshi screamed that was the most emotional scene I've ever witnessed.
It was a depressing episode, but at least the festival changed the mood a little bit.
When they held hands, I melted. That's friendship goals right there.

Some really strong feels in the first half ;_;

Looks like they are going to be implementing the new hero system soon.

Fantastic. The soundtrack was (as always) phenomenal, but my favorite part was the intro. No music, just the ambience, the sound of the rain, the crying children in the classroom, that was perfect from Gokumi.

If only they could do fight scenes...

The battle is full of anger. The first half is really sad, but luckily we got festival in 2nd half to lighten the mood.

In case someone wonder what it says in Aki sensei's laptop in the last scene: (reading the pic on MAL page may be too difficult, you can open the pic on new tab)

The movie subber translate it. Lots of Nogi Wakaba LN references. Also explains a little bit of the new system, and why the heroes in YuYuYu season 1 doesn't even need any training.

Well isn't that a perfect time? Having a battle while doing the funeral. Even so, the girls have to overcome their emotion and do their duty.

This one episode trumped the entirety of the original season, which tried to go down the dark magical girl route but chickened out at the very end to give everyone a happy fairy tale ending.

I'm not saying death makes things better, or that I wish they'd all remain disabled, but the emotional impact and the weight of permanent consequence can't be compared.

Gin is one bamf. While every other hero goes spamming Mankai, there she is giving up everything by herself *salute

Hmmm, just one episode left to cover the introduction of fairies and 20-some mankai... this is going to be intense.

Yup, felt like crap immediately after clicking on this episode, and while watching the entire episode, haven't felt like crying during an anime this much since Clannad. Gin will be missed, may she rest in peace ;n;

EPIC episode! from the first half of the part 3 Movie!
the way how Washio Sumi unleashed her raging uncontrollable burst of anger emotions was so glorious it was mythical!
now, on to the Legendary next episode (that would be the second half of the part 3 Movie) would be the best of all especially the OST!
5/5!

A bit harder to get into comp. YYY. Maybe cos it's shorter, maybe cos it uses more reallife supporting's in a decidedly unrealistic situation

And my underlying... disagreement? to the Yuusha ideals the franchise holds is not helping. I'm emotionally detached, pausing and smirking even during the first half

Although episode 4 was sad with Gin's death, this episode was somehow much sadder. Mostly due to everyone's reaction to her death. FeelsBadMan. T__T

No idea what's going on with that cliffhanger. It probably has something to do with the 1st series. Unfortunately, I've forgotten almost everything about it.
Oh, well. Final episode next time. Then we go back to the present?

Battle music, still amazing.

I wonder what happened to the little brother that got escorted out... brainwash?

So now they explain why they didn't have their little floating buddies. I paused so I could read the document on the "new" system. Thank you fansubs!

Looking forward to next episode... since we know where this leads to in the first season.

The one friend and hero who was once energetic and lively, lies quietly in a coffin as if she were sleeping...It was good that gave a time for them to relax and enjoy the festival. It will help them move on for their grief.

New system? Hmm...

This episode really hit hard with its emotions, I was holding back tears at every mention of Gin. Though this side series is shorter and we didnt get to form a full bond with Gin before she passed, I think this episode really portrayed the emotional weight on the other two. The fight scene was perfect, and my heart burst when Gins brother lost it. Washio letting her guard down at the flowering ceremony was also heavy, overall I loved the impact of the episode.

Tetsuo said fuck kami! They need 3 people to remove a kid. lol
They're here already?
Sumi screams.
They defeated it.
Sensei found them.

Festival.
Dat hand hold.
Sensei.
New system?
Dat ending.
Dat ED theme.
If you see that my post is exactly 1 month old (or more) from when it was posted... Don't waste your time, especially when you want to reply with something petty & insignificant. Assume that I've moved on (because I have).

I lost myself when I watched this episode. I just couldn't stop bawling. It has been awhile since any show made me lose it that badly. Poor Gin. Even though I knew it would happen, it did nothing to lessen the pain.
