This episode was an absolute masterclass of direction and astonishing writing. I'm speechless. It made me want to look out of my window to check if it's snowing. The bond between Carlos and Joe is marvelous.

It's about time I moved this up to a 10.

What an absolute master of piece episode. The directing, the writing and the animation, the background and the most important of all, Joe and Carlos developed a new bond, a true friendship.

My god.

That Shiraki Yohko goddess in the end though.

Carlos is really cool in this episode, I thought he was a different person xD. Hyped for their match, hopefully it's even better than the first season version.

I'm hoping for that too, felt like something was missing from that match in Season 1 so maybe this one will be better executed!

Also this episode sure was beautiful and I think the snow added much to that.

Carlos is amazing!
He is like a kid and a beast at the same time, I love his character development.
Yoko's Christmas gift was great too.

Nice needed interactions between Joe and Carlos, Yoko taking care or everything needed for the fight was a really nice present from her part.

Well damn, all of this was entirely different from the original.

The match is set! Excited to see how well the animation was done.

What a beautiful episode man... All those interactions between Joe and Carlos just made feel a different type of way. They just felt so real.

And also Yoko at end... this was the best episode by far for me

Amazing episode, the best one so far. It was really heartwarming to see that side of Carlos.
But I still don't understand why he speaks english being from Venezuela tho.

I like how Carlos rushed across the street while Joe had to run over to a pedestrian bridge. With Tange's observation in mind, Joe is still behind Carlos in terms of growth and strength, in addition to still dealing with his past trauma.

The art direction, animation and soundtrack of this second season are masterful.

This episode absolutely touched me when I saw that Carlos and Joe were talking to each other as real friends.

I'm not talking about Yoko's last action. This scene cannot be described with words, so here are the pictures :

At last we get the friendship between Carlos and Joe, and this episode was beautifully done. It also made me think about what a lonely life Joe's had despite all the people around him, as he doesn't seem to have peers he could hang out with. There's Nishi, but he's different because they only seem to have boxing in common, otherwise they have different temperaments. The kids are there, and the coach, but they're not exactly peers, as much as there's been between them.

Somebody told me to watch just the first 53 episodes of season one, and then start season 2. So all this is new for me, and I'm loving it.
