| Ah, the infamous rape episode. It's one thing that it's exploited for cheap drama, and it's another that at the time this show came out, most lesbians in fiction (including anime) turned psycho/rapist and/or died. The rest were sidelined in endings. Some iconic exceptions include characters like Utena and the gay sailors from Sailor Moon... Not a good landscape, either way, and it's only slightly better today (though even that's debatable). Either way, the only things that aged well in this show are Kotoko's songs, and the soundtrack (except during battles). |

| Yeah not a big fan of the sudden psycho lesbian trope. I guess the idea is that her mind was overtaken by the evil lady but I dunno how much better that makes it. Might as well keep watching just to see where this goes. |
