Eiken: Eikenbu yori Ai wo Komete

This has been the most painful anime I have ever watched. I was barely capable of getting through it but I succeeded and I really don;t think it was worth it. This is the kind of anime that makes me seriously consider giving up on anime.

Eiken is a true masterpiece, undoubtedly the pinnacle of artistic achievement in the anime world. Its unparalleled brilliance lies in the profound exploration of human relationships, showcased through tasteful and subtle storytelling. The carefully crafted characters, with their well-defined personalities and intricate arcs, elevate "Eiken" to a level of storytelling sophistication rarely seen in the annals of animation history. Truly, "Eiken" reigns supreme as the best anime of all time, a triumph that will undoubtedly be remembered for generations ... to come.

I just can't believe they made an anime about this, even though there are multiple anime that are better than THIS.
Okay, let's be truthful, I like the fan service parts, they were funny but they were creepy funny.
And that's it. This is not a masterpiece, it just sad and boring.
No, the saddest thing is, that this all happens in episode 1. THAT'S SAD!

Honestly, I seen way worst anime than this.

This show pretty much has everything you could want:

-Boob physics accurately represented
-Characters are like real people with real motivations
-Main character is a pu$$y
-All the girls like the main chara - just because
-Water slides but with yogurt instead of water
-Girl who deap-throats various phallic shaped foods
-Mechas for some fucking reason

Warning possible Spoilers (Then again this is goddamn awful)

What went from simple curiosity changed into complete regret, if you watch this show then you really don't give a damn because trust me it is possibly the worst thing I've seen so far in anime and I've seen some messed up stuff.

The story is Godawful it goes from MC liking Girl then trying to get on her good side he gets into a few accidents she then hates him then a random douchebag shows and then the MC has to win her heart eurgh just kill me AND IT'S ONLY 2 EPISODES THAT'S HOW BAD THIS ... IS!!!

The characters are completely and utterly crap the female characters are just basically eye candy, but eye candy that's really bad and I mean really bad and the Male MC doesn't help either with his cowardly attitude.

The fan service is friggin ridiculous why would in anyone's mind find these women attractive it makes me feel like this came out of someone's nightmare the jiggle effects are goddamn stupid it is absurd and I was literally dying the whole way.

If you have any interest in watching this don't find something else seriously anything else is better than this piece of Garbage.

You'll notice if you check my scores that, despite the terrible overall rating, I marked my enjoyment at an 8. Why you may ask?
Because this is a must-recommend for watching with friends while drunk off your ass. It's like witnessing a train wreck if said train was carrying a fresh shipment of badly animated anime titties.
I don't remember most of it to be honest. A scene where the main character and one of the booby boob girls going down a water slide does come to mind. Her foot quite literally ends up in his mouth while they squirm around in a 3 frame ... loop. I'll likely never forget that. Truly superb.

In my brief experience as a user of this website, I have yet to post a single review, however I can't let this slide. This thing is complete trash, and it wastes no time in reveling in its own filth. It's not even the concept of the show itself that cements its place as some of the worst anime I've ever seen. Trashy, exploitative anime, such as Highschool of the Dead or High School DxD, can be a good time, either by laughing at the ridiculous fanservice or through some legitimately likeable and fun characters. Eiken has neither of these things. As far as fanservice ... goes, it's almost insulting that they thought anyone past the age of twelve would find the character designs even remotely appealing. Hell, I think even twelve year olds would find this embarrassing. As for the characters, they are the most generic, bland ensemble that I have ever seen in an anime. All of them can be distilled into single word descriptions (sporty girl, shy girl, awkward girl). It's not even funny bad like some other anime. It just pissed me off. Heed my warning and don't go near this.

I am looking forward for a second Season this is the greatest Anime I have ever seen in my entire life! The Story was well executed and overall outstanding same goes for sound and character design. The Art is realistic especially the properties of the charcters! My Overall Enjoyment can't be described in words I couldn't sleep for the next 10 weeks because of how deep this anime was!
Overall I would say its a good 10/10.
I watched this Anime with Friends and they all agree with my Point of View that this is ... a real Masterpiece

This anime is a masterpiece. I have no idea why it isn't more popular than it is. Highly realistic, it makes one think of their current standing in their own mind, and this anime helps raise self-esteem. Completely original, this anime delivers a fresh, positive message about the female body, as well as a reminder that not all men are total perverts. I especially love the world design; it reminds me of a magical land where anything you can dream is possible. All the characters are highly developed and interesting, and a great plot is to be expected from such ... a beautiful anime. The artwork is amazing, the soundtrack even better, and the entire anime is just something I would recommend to anyone out there looking for something short and sweet but leaves a lasting thought in your mind.
To be honest, this anime is actually pretty bad, everything is perverted, and all the girls have boobs the size of a Jell-o Mt. Everest. Everything is sexual, and it's kind of boring. Also, if your parents are going to be nearby when you are engrossed in this masterpiece painted by the likes of dung beetles, then you should probably steer clear, lest you get some... judgemental looks, to say the least. Also, if you are watching this on a Surface, be careful--if you close it, it will continue playing for a little while, and that will not work out in your favour--the "oohs" and "aahs" can be a little disconcerting for most parents.
If you're wondering why I rated the "Enjoyment" as a (10), then I'll tell you that it's because I had so much fun laughing at how terrible it was that I gave myself a stomachache. And yes, I have seen it twice--once because I heard it was horribly perverted and I was a curious child, and twice due to my friend nagging me to watch it with her (she didn't want to be caught at her house). This anime is basically your run-of-the-mill harem gone wrong.

To start I am a fan of parody( movies, songs, books, et. al).This show tries too hard to lambaste every anime stereotype known. The jokes are funny but forced. The characters personalities are as exaggerated as their figures.

I kind of enjoyed this show, but I think if it were longer than the 2 episodes I think I would've dropped it.

The overdone poor taste joke would've worn out their welcome rather fast.

Not enough time to develop a concrete ... story so they went for pure slapstick, which works most of the time albeit overly done.

Overall ok show kills an hour and I don't feel I wasted my time.

I love fan service and ecchi as much as the next guy but god damn.

For those who don't I'm a Josh and today I am reviewing the OVA Eiken. Let's get this over with.

Story- It's basically the generic harem trope. The thing that is about as overused as Mechs and Generic Slice of Life characters. Basically the nerdy wimp joins the Eiken club surrounded by girls who have bigger breast then most girls in their grade along with two of their teachers. Need I say more. Just saying that you can immediately conclude that this is a generic harem anime. Overall 1/10

Art- If you get ... by the massively large breast intended to give you a noise bleed and the fan service every 2-3 minutes...meh. Overall 3/10

Sound- Compared to some of the stuff I hear, it's average. Not something grand or completely bad but it is average. 4/10

Characters: We got all your favorites in this one. Nerdy wimp, big breast girl who loves sucking things, a fat ass bear, big breast girl, semi big breast girl, big breast teacher, loli with a robot, another big breast teacher and a 6th grader with big ass breast

....Well it happened people. It finally happen. I never thought I see this day come and you probably didn't either. But the world finally did. They are finally let 11-12 year old girls get breast enhancements. Parents and teachers a like finally gave in and allowed young girls to get breast enhancements, hypnotizing all those middle schoolers with the main intention of this to distract them and make them want to do thinks people their age shouldn't even think about.

It's an incredible moment and we might as well get used to it because this. This right here. 6th graders with breast enhancements is going to become a common thing. It will be the biggest thing in the near future......

Overall- Eiken is just pure fan service that is about as borderline hentai as it can get. The story is one that is overused. The sound and animation are particular horrible but that really the only good thing I can fully say about it. But overall I will give Eiken a 3/10. It's bad and goes a little to far with the ecchi and fan service but I have honestly seen worst

Uuughh.... how can I explain how horrible this anime is? I like fanservice comedies, Golden Boy is one of my favorite ever. But this was just flat out stupid. There isn't a better word. The jokes were stupid, the eleven year old with cup size EE boobs and eyebrows as thick as my forearms, was stupid, the random bear that just stood in the background throughout the whole thing was....stupid.

When it came down to the fanservice there were a few moments that were nice. The sucking of phallic shaped foods, a yogurt slide (this was the one thing that actually sounded fun) and Yuriko's crotch ... attack was kinda funny (the first time, not the other 1,000 times). I wanted to like this, I tried to like it, but the jokes were dull, the events were just boring, and the parts that were supposed to be sexy really weren't. Don't expect anything from this anime, and if you haven't watched a fanservice one before, please don't start with this one, because it will turn you off from the whole genre.

I've reviewed a lot of bad OVAs this year and it looks like I'm about to add another to the list. Eiken: Eikenbu Yori Ai Wo Komete is an early 2000s OVA from JC Staff that's based off of a manga and appears to be about girls who have had absurd breast implants.

Story:

We open with our protagonist, Whatever, Who Cares, going to school while he thinks about how he picked his school arbitrarily. On his way there, he runs into a girl with massive bosoms and spends about five minutes sitting on her, squeezing her bosoms before he notices he's doing it. And we ... can already see a lot of the problems with this OVA. Yes, the idea is to make fun of that old romance trope where the protagonist accidentally gropes the heroine and it takes a second before he notices. The problem is that the execution is so over the top, overtly sexualised and just unfunny that it comes across as less of a parody and more as a really egregious example of the trope. But back to the summary, he's then called in to join the Eiken club which has a purpose, presumably, but the audience doesn't need to know it.

What follows is an hour of over-sized, bouncing bosoms, women holding and putting phallic objects in their mouths and Whatever, Who Cares accidentally ending up in really bad positions while trying to win the heart of the girl he accidentally groped at the start. Because, clearly, you have to marry the first person you grope. Otherwise you've lost your hand virginity like a godless whore for nothing.

The fundamental flaw with the whole OVA is that it wants to parody dumb harem tropes, mostly the ones surrounding characters accidentally doing sexual things and having misunderstandings, but it also wants to embrace those tropes. Which basically means it uses them, but it does it in a more obnoxious, bombastic fashion. There's no subversion, no clever deconstruction, no cleverness in general, really. It just plays the tropes straight and makes them more annoying.

Characters:

The characters are very much bottom of the barrel, one-dimensional schlock. There's no complexity or strong interactions. Take our hero and heroine. He seemingly falls for her because he accidentally groped her that one time. She's constantly seeing him in questionable positions and coming across like a complete pervert, but believes the best of him because... she has low self-esteem? Frankly, it shouldn't be hard to make your character interactions seem passable when your characters are this one note, but Eiken still finds a way to fail and make them seem awkward and stilted.

Art:

The artwork is pretty damn ugly. Even if you ignore all the excessive fan-service, the anatomy is bad. The animation isn't up to par. And there are a lot of moments where the artwork just blatantly had no effort put into it. Now, if we get into the fan-service, it's pretty horrendous. Whether you're someone who likes large breasts or not, most of the major female characters in this are so ridiculously huge in the chest that it passes the point where it could, potentially have sex appeal and goes to the point where it's gross. The art is almost Liefeldian with them having overly thin bodies, massive breasts that are bigger than their heads and legs that should not be able to carry them.

Sound:

The acting in this is quite bad. Oshiro Miwa and Watanabe Akeno in particular just have awkward, poorly directed performances. And Watanabe can act. She was in Bakuretsu Tenshi, Boku no Hero Academia, Witch Hunter Robin and more with strong performances. You just wouldn't know she's capable here. Her performance in this is so over the top, exaggerated and downright obnoxious. While Watanabe's issue is over-acting, Oshiro's issue is the opposite. She doesn't emote well and it makes a lot of scenes even worse than they were in theory. There are multiple scenes where her character is supposed to be crying out in pain but she sounds like she's reading a phone book she's so uninvested. The music isn't all that bad, which does make it the strongest element of the OVA but that's a low bar to clear.

Ho-yay:
There is none.

Areas of Improvement:

1. If you know a trope is stupid, do some subversion or deconstruction. Don't just make it more over the top.

2. Give your characters dynamics that basically fit. Even if you aren't going to try and make them complex since you're going for a comedy, at least put some effort into giving them dynamics that work.

3. Never go this Liefeldian with your art. It will look like rubbish.

Final Thoughts:

I wouldn't say Eiken is the absolute worst OVA I've ever reviewed, but that's only because it has some very stiff competition. It's definitely down there. My final rating is going to be a 1/10.

Eiken is very clear about the kind of show that that's going for. It's a show about women with incredibly oversized breasts and having them bounce around a bunch, with the only plot being different reasons to show them in provocative positions. It succeeds in creating this kind of show, but... the end result is not something that has any real merit to it.

First of all, the art style is quite a mess. All of the characters have a very generic style, and the animation consists of something that is comparable to TV series that were being released at the time. Except it also has ... a bunch of unrealistic, gravity-defying boob physics. The backgrounds are decent, but nothing looks too particularly detailed aside from them, making the whole thing just seem incredibly average, especially compared to other OVAs from the time period.

When it comes to the story, this show is also not very watchable. Everything is done simply in service of getitng the characters into different sexual situations, and it quickly becomes incredibly boring. Let's put all of the sexual stuff aside for a moment. Even without all of that, most of the characters have zero depth to them and even the ones who have a little tiny bit of depth are still the most generic, cookie cutter archetypes that you can think of. This is compounded by the terribly cheesy dialogue and voice acting that plagues this entire show, making most of the characters immensely unlikable and forgettable.
The only character that I actually found somewhat endearing was Kirika Misono, but that was mostly because it became a running gag for her to surprise the main character from behind, crushing him with her boobs, any time she was being bossy or confronting him about something, and that always got a bit of a chuckle out of me.

I feel like that's probably the only decent part of this series, the gags. There were a few chuckles to be had here and there, but nothing that will make you laugh up a storm, and you also have to get through a bunch of other really poorly done stuff to get to those laughs, so it still makes it pretty difficult to recommend.

As an aside, the soundtrack was also incredibly unremarkable... so much so that I'm having trouble remembering if there even was a soundtrack at all (and I just finished this series, folks).

Overall, it's not the worst thing I've ever seen, but there are so many better shows that one could be spending their time with. Even if this show didn't have any sexual references or innuendo at all, it still wouldn't be good. That stuff doesn't help it at all, but it's not what makes this show bad. The show tends to fail on multiple levels, so even though there's a few redeeming qualities underneath, it's still not worth dragging yourself through all of the bad parts.

I finally did it. I finally fucking did it. I found my new worst anime. That's right, worse than Anoahana. Worse than Toradora. Worse than Sword For Truth & Dark Cat. Worse than even Green Green & CONCEPTION. Yes you heard me right, WORSE than Conception. How is that possible? I'll fucking tell you right now.

So the "story" of this piece of shit is supposed to be a series of game event shows. But that doesn't become apparent until half-way through the first episode. The first half of the first episode is almost nothing but filler with terrible structuring. We start off with blank-slate ... male MC number 1 grabbing stupidly large breasts because this is an ecchi series, & it wouldn't be a stupid ecchi series without a boob grab now wouldn't it? Then we waste time in one location for like 3 or 4 minutes until we then cut to where the guy lives I guess. A bit of cooking later with a terrible eating scene full of bad loop jobs later & we get to some absolutely trite scene about BSMC#1's little sister character making a fuss about him not paying as much attention to her as much as he does red-haired girl with the gigantic boobs. The reason this is trite is because this scene does absolutely nothing to develop either character & serves as nothing but padding for a runtime because the creators of this anime were so bad they couldn't even create a rush-job properly. Once the story actually gets to what it's about (the game-show-esque things) it dissolves into nothing but the gameshow & the characters partaking in disgusting activities. There's also some rival character that shows up, but he's complete underwritten trite that barely does anything to affect the plot. The series also tries really hard to be a hentai, but either the creators didn't have the money, were too fucking incompetent, or too fucking stupid

The characters in this show are absolutely atrocious in every sense of the word, they're nothing but 1-dimensional stereotypes of every ecchi series out there in existence. These characters don't even have any good comedic dynamics to make up for the fact either, because this series has nothing unintentionally or intentionally funny in it

Still frames, bad backgrounds, re-used shots, re-used animation, bad loop jobs, no faces, lack of details, the "animation" of this series has everything in it that leads to bad animation & art. I mentioned that the backgrounds were bad, that's because they are. They're simple, copy-paste, & blurry, so an unholy trinity of shit.

The series actually has a similar problem that Dark Cat has in its English Dub, an absolutely lacking sound design. There are moments in this anime where the sound is either non-existent, or so quiet that it may as well be muted because you can barely hear it. I will say thoughm this problem isn't as noticeable as it is in Dark Cat. The voice acting is atrocious but what do you expect? The VA's were a bunch of (at the time) no-name amateurs with absolutely no investment in the roles what-so-ever, but I can't really blame them, because putting effort into this would just be a waste of any talent they might've had back when they were amateurs.

What do I even say at this point? There is genuinely nothing positive you can say hear. If someone had a Gun pointed to my head & told me I had to say something positive about eiken or they would take my life, I'd have to take the bullet quite honestly, as I genuinely cannot say anything positive about this series remotely+. Anohana & Toradora at least had effort put into them (albeit not much), Dark Cat has Jukokubo, Sword For Truth is baffling, Green Green has unintentional laughs, & Conception is so horrendously awful you give up way before you even hit episode 3. But this, there's nothing here. It isn't good fap-bait because the character designs are hideous, there's no unintentional laughs to be had because the voice acting is well beyond the high point of when bad voice acting is entertaining & has long since stooped into negative Y-axis territory. The characters are underwritten trite, so you can't root for them, you won't even get tits in this anime because it was too pussy to go full out hentai. Really, I CANNOT say anything positive about this series because there's really nothing here. Even when you reach bottom of the barrel trying to find something, you can't because even the bottom of the barrel is too good for this atrocious piece of humanity that should've been cancelled the second someone even conceived the idea. Final score is to nobodies surprise a 1/10. Until something else comes along this is the worst anime of all time, how this shit is above Skelter + Heaven is beyond me, because at least Skelter + Heaven only wastes 19 minutes of your life you'll never get back.

EDIT: after somebody bought this to my attention, the 11 year old girl has the biggest breats out of all the girls in this series. Eiken is the asshole that keeps on shitting

Please for the love of god do NOT watch this/ It's so bad I want to kill myself. I'd rather watch Boku No Pico for the rest of my life. At least it has SOME sort of plot. You might as well watch porn. I'd rather talk to Satan himself then watch this again. The characters are horrible. You can't focus on the dialogue because all you see are boobs. Bouncing for no reason. It contains incest and PEDOPHILIA. THERE IS A LITERAL 6TH GRADER IN HERE. LIKE WHO MADE THIS?? You have to have a mental illness to like this show. When watching the ecchi genre you expect panty shots, big boobs, stupid scenes where the guy falls on top of the girl by accidentally touching them iinappropriately and etcetera. Oh, but Eiken takes the word ecchi to a whole new level in a bad way, enormously large bouncey breast that are as soft as a pillow, stupid sexual innuendo jokes that make you shake your head and a plot so generic you probably heard fifteen million times, actually, this anime has a very litte plot at all. Anyway this is just one of the worst ecchi/harems of all time, watch Love Hina its better.

In my review of Onegai Twins, I talked about how everyone has a guilty pleasure and that my pleasures are some of the most guiltiest.From Ikkitousen to Maken ki.But this show is on a completely different level of guilty.This show is one that deserves attention for one of the worst anime ever made in the last almost 2 decades,but I love it.Not for all the reasons intended,but for how ridiculous this show is.So bad that its good.But it is still bad but you get entertained out of its atrocity.There is a difference between bad and awful and Eikenbu yori Ai wo Komete doesn't even come ... close to the latter on the scale.


The story to Eiken makes no sense.This guy named Densuke Mifune goes to this really huge academy and know for two things:1.Making the highest grade on the entrance.2.At the same time being know for having no redeeming qualities at all(Making the highest grade on the entrance exam sounds redeeming to me but whatever),After slipping on a banana peel and somehow touching this girl,Chiharu Shinonome's, EXTRA F CUP BOOBIES,ends up being put in this club called Eiken Club who's major club activites seem to be eating noodles and nothing else.Ran by the rag tag group of ladies with a majority of them having chest sizes that are not anatomically possible even in anime. There is also this tournament that somehow got past the school board.Students have to bun-jee jump from really high places without proper bun-jee jump equipment.Sliding down waterslides completely replaced with vanilla yogurt,and "felatio"ing chocolate covered bananas in front of hundreds of people.All for the sake of buying Chiharu a present or something.


The animation is kinda difficult to talk about because its good and bad at the same time.The only time when the animation is better than usual is when something "erotic" happens for the sake of fan service
but comes off as awkward.For example when the wind is blowing and the women's cleavages are flowing in the wind with it.WTF.Now, I don't know how the female anatomy goes, but I know that boobs do not have the buoyancy or density to flow in the air.What am I talking about?Besides that, the animation is pretty crappy.I also analyzed the style that JC staff uses with most of they're shows.They kinda have a SHAFT-esque style to it.As apparent in this show's opening, JC Staff uses a lot of colorful and geometric patterns and designs.It's not as shameless as SHAFT but it's the little things you have to look for.Speaking of which, the character designs are OUT OF CONTROL.Like this fifth grader with hairy eyebrows and what looks like an oversized sausage implanted in her chest.And this other girl with boobs that bounce for such an extended period of time.(now that's animation!).

The music for Eiken is barely noticeable,but if you have watched the show at such the frequency that I have,(which you haven't)if you hear the soundtrack, you'll notice that It sounds like it was ripped straight from Rugrats.What is really disappointing about the opening and ending songs is that they deserved so much better.The vocals and instruments in used provide a nice summer feeling that you would jam to if you were in the car on a trip or something.And the ending is so soothing, its one of those songs you would listen too while walking on the beach during sunset.But alas, this song in the show is presented with fade out of Kurika with a wet shirt and bare naked from the waist down, looking at the sky wearily even though the only things she did in the show was bounce around and eat phallic food.The dub is atrocious.But believe it or not, the main voice actor, Densuke,is actually voiced by BRYCE PAPENBROOK.Who played really popular characters, like Kirito from SAO and Eren Yaegar from AOT.Don't believe me, just look it up.Unlike those other roles he plays, Bryce really acted in such a way where I wanted to punch him in the face.Not because of him, but because of the shitty-ass script that he and other characters had to act out.



Did I enjoy this show,YES but for the wrong reason.I am not commending this show by any means, This show is so atrocious that it gets my attention and when I need something to laugh at I go to no other than this showThe only probable inference about this show is that it satirizes the ecchi genre because this show is pretty ridiculous.Starting with the characters,what the heck is wrong with these people?!There is this girl that jumps and hits Densuke in the face with her taint at the wrong time and takes off her clothes when time does not permit.And that one seen when the little girl is like grinding up ginger and is running in place and the teacher slips on a banana peel because Kurika has never heard of a trash can and after slo mo seen ends up with Densuke being crushed by the girls' boobs and they're covered in noodles to look like they've been jizzed on. IMAGERYYYYYYYY!!
There is so much to talk about this show.Despite being crap it stands out because it takes the boring and cliche and goes an entirely different route that I can only ask for you to see for yourself.But I don't recommend such.

this might be a short review or a long on no idea honestly this anime was just WOW ill say that much

Story: so the story starts with Densuke meeting Chiharu at school (by tripping or something) and landing on her than he ends up getting forced too join the Eiken club (they honestly NEVER explained why he was forced but whatever) there is honestly no story too this expect to what i just told you honestly.

Art: art is good for it coming out in 2003 art isnt a concern of mine to be honest as long as the anime is good than yeah

Sound: ... now the OP and ED i actually really liked otherwise the sound was good

Character: putting this all aside that i liked all the side characters i WILL get to one character at the end of this review. Chiharu is the big boobed clumsy anything that you can think girl i didnt mind her honestly at all. Densuke now hes the typical person who gets scared of boobs and such (which i love about, im not a fan of a perv MC) otherwise he was good

Enjoyment: to say i enjoyed this is a understatement this could have been honestly BETTER as a hentai but yeah also why the fuck you give a 6th grade girls the boobs have like 2 basketballs like WTF who thought of that otherwise the comedy was bad it was a little ther but not enough

Overall: goona give this 4 for sure if this was a hentai easily a 6 or maybe 7 but as a anime naw the comedy was bare at best and all this (well some) having basketball sized tits didnt help either (even though im a lewd person) just felt unnatural to me
