Devilman: Crybaby has definitely kicked off 2018 well for anime. It was also surprising to hear that this was a reboot of an anime from the 1970's, however this adaption would be better connected to the manga than the original series.

Story (9/10)

The story concentrates on Akira fudou and Ryou Asuka, who are trying to stop the threat of the Demons from taking over the world. However Akira fuses with a demon and becomes Devilman to protect humanity from the demon threat.
What I really like about Devilman's story is how unexpecting it was, it starts out like a normal superhero type story where the read more

When it comes to the gaming aspect of anime's, they rarely concentrate on the relationship between characters. Apart from And you thought there is never a girl online? , which does focus on a gaming relationship, but still has a strong connection to actual gaming. Recovery of an MMO Junkie decides to concentrate primarily on a romantic relationship between gamers.

Story (8/10)

The story begins with Moriko Morioka, a 30 year old NEET, who decides to start playing a game called Fruits de Mer where she meets a player called Lily. However as their relationship grows a whole bunch of coincidences suddenly arise.

After finishing the first series, I was quite surprised to see that a movie had been made and was looking forward to seeing another hour and 30 minutes of Rin and the others. However this wasn't as fun as I was expecting.

Story (6/10)

Now I was really unsure whether the Movie is even connected to the TV series, true it has all the characters there, but nothing is said about Satan's defeat. Instead everyone is preparing for this special festival, while Rin and the others are guarding the academy from any Demons that try to interfere.

Blue Exorcist has a soft spot with me, mainly because it was the second anime I watched fully, which was about almost 2 years ago now. I wanted to rewatch this when the second season came out, but I got sidetracked by other things and I thought I'll rewatch it now when I had time. Even after 2 years it's still a great anime.

Story (9/10)

The story concentrates on Rin Okumura, a half human and half demon who turns out to be the son of Satan, along with his brother Yukio he trains at True Cross Academy to become an Exorcist to kick Satan's read more

Looking at what happens in this film, you can definitely tell this is where Inception got it's inspiration from, because this is for certain a very trippy adventure.

Story (9/10)

The story concentrates on a group of scientists, who have created a device called the DC Mini, which allows them to access peoples dreams. However someone manages to hijack control of the dreams and it is up to Paprika and her gang to find the villain.
Now the plot for this show was a little confusing, especially towards the end where the situation got very trippy and weird, but it didn't feel bad in any way. read more

Madhouse is known for being a master of making psychological anime's and Perfect Blue is a prime example of that, probably the best example I've seen to date.

Story (10/10)

The story concentrates on Mima Kirigoe, who has quit her idol job to become an actress, but whats she's about to learn is that not everyone is happy with her change.
The best thing about the whole film is seeing the slow change in Mima's path to insanity, as she tries to get used to her new acting career she is being tormented by an illusion of her previous self and the interactions between them get read more

After almost 10 years since the original movie, a sequel came out and it had the monumentous task of being a good sequel. Was it a good sequel, to me not really.

Story (6/10)

The story focuses more on Batou and Togusa, since Motoko vanished at the end of the original film. This is definitely one of the better parts of the film as we get to see a working relationship between these two, who really didn't get that much screentime in the first film and this film nicely develops their characters.
The plot on the other hand is definitely a mess, a crazy sex droid, read more

A few months ago, I decided to watch the live action version of GitS and honestly for an LA adaption it was alright, but after a few months I thought it was time to watch the original version again and by God was it amazing.

Story (10/10)

Ghost in the Shell's story is a complex one and definitely needs to be rewatched, just so you can understand it.
It focuses on Motoko Kusanagi and Section 9 trying to handle a situation that involves a criminal called the Puppet Master. As Motoko and her teammates go through multiple battles with other criminals linked to this, there are read more

Now I'm a pretty big fan for the Godzilla franchise, so I was wondering how an anime version would do, turns out not very good, in fact it was horrible could even dare say it was worse than the American Godzilla movie from the 90's.

Story (3/10)

The story is basically, Godzilla and a bunch of monsters ravage Earth and Humanity flees in a ship. After being adrift in space for what they think is 1000 years they finally go back to Earth and try to kill Godzilla.
Yep it's a very simple, run of the mill story that has absolutely nothing interesting going for it, read more

Now giving something like this probably makes me a huge Halo fanboy, true I am a Halo fanboy, but these few episodes managed to reveal more and expand upon this amazing universe.

Story (10/10)

There may be only 9 episodes, but each one focuses on different stuff that goes on in the Halo universe and it doesn't just focus on the humans either, even the Arbiter gets his own episode showing us more how Sangheili culture works and what their like as a species.
A lot of the episodes do involve humans fighting against the Covenant along with the odd Spartan, but it really goes into read more
