Synopsis

Ever since she was summoned from Hell by the witch Yurine Hanazono, Jashin-chan—a half-human, half-snake demon—has been searching for any way to go back. One of her options is to kill the one who summoned her, which is much easier said than done. Jashin-chan often finds herself getting violently beaten by Yurine after not only any failed murder attempt, but also when she is just causing mischief, destroying any hope of going back home to Hell.

The demon is also terrible with money and tends to gamble all of it away at pachinko. In one of these gambling sessions, she loses the three million yen she received from Hell Financing, putting her into a lifelong debt. To avoid repaying it altogether, Jashin-chan flees to Hokkaido to try and hide for the rest of her days, but her wish of having her debts forgotten may just be a pipe dream when someone comes knocking for the money.

When I originally started watching the first episode of the first season when it originally came out in 2018, I didn’t think much of it. I mainly wanted to watch it, because it sounded like it would be an ok anime to watch, if I don’t have anything else on my plate…now it’s 2022, season 3 ended and I already want a 4th one or at least a special. That should give a good idea, how I feel about this show…

As with the seasons before, this series continues being a bloody fun time, as we watch Jashin-chan, Yurine and all the other demons and angels ...

Mixed Feelings
–Spoiler Free Compact Review–

Jashin chan dropkick X is the sequel to the Jashin chan series. The show is overall very laid back and fun to watch; however, this doesn’t make it good. The show is painfully average. If you didn’t like the other seasons the show just isn’t for you. Even if you enjoyed the other seasons this might not be for you.

Overall:
There are a few hehe and haha’s but the gags are often mediocre and often fall flat.
The show seems artificial compared to the other seasons.
Many of the episodes seemed dragged out.
Feels like a massive marketing scheme to ...

Preliminary (10/12 eps)
I had high hopes for X as someone who absolutely loved S1 and enjoyed Dash. But X just fell flat for me...

X is nearly devoid of any of the magic that made S1 and Dash so great. It did have a few moments of laugh out loud comedy and cuteness that I love about this anime but it has so much pointless BS mixed in with it aswell. The Miku cameo was interesting at first but got old extremely fast. The Jashin being in debt plot point was just frustrating to watch; when it came to a climax in EP9 it just made her ...
