Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu

Despite being bullied, scorned, and oppressed all of his life, a 34-year-old shut-in still found the resolve to attempt something heroic—only for it to end in a tragic accident. But in a twist of fate, he awakens in another world as Rudeus Greyrat, starting life again as a baby born to two loving parents.

Preserving his memories and knowledge from his previous life, Rudeus quickly adapts to his new environment. With the mind of a grown adult, he starts to display magical talent that exceeds all expectations, honing his skill with the help of a mage named Roxy Migurdia. Rudeus learns swordplay from his father, Paul, and meets Sylphiette, a girl his age who quickly becomes his closest friend.

As Rudeus' second chance at life begins, he tries to make the most of his new opportunity while conquering his traumatic past. And perhaps, one day, he may find the one thing he could not find in his old world—love.

This story feels different from any other. Yes, it may be an isekai, but it doesn't feel like one.

It has a well connected story with characters that aren't perfect. I know the argument of many people who have a bad opinion of this series is the main character's deplorable behavior; but this can be seen as one of the most important aspects of the story (I mean that is part of the story, not that is okay to have that type of behavior), as the story relies a lot on the main character's growth.
I think, are we criticizing the story or the character?
Because ... a series that makes you feel hatred or disgust towards a character, speaks about how well thought out the characters are, and I think that this dislike of the character is the sensation that was sought to be given to the public, since from the beginning he is presented as someone who disgusts and that is even hated for those same types of actions in his own world.

(To avoid misunderstandings, I'm not trying to justify nothing, Just trying to explain what I think this was intended to achieve and that I really don't think that the story itself tries to justify or glorify this, quite the opposite).

Talking about the environment and the world, they feel well worked. The world has its own history, legends and beliefs, which makes the world feel interesting and gives it an atmosphere of mystery and excitement.

I love how the story spans a lifetime, seeing how time passes and how the context and atmosphere of each era and situation in the characters' lives changes feels like something completely different. Looking back and thinking about all that the story has encompassed and how the setting, context and characters have changed so much feels impressive.

The music fits very well with the ambiance and context of the anime. I don't have much to say, but I wanted to mention that. I think it gives a plus to the feeling that this show transmits.

I recommend this anime, if you haven't given it a chance, I recommend you to do it. You may not like it, but I'm glad I gave it a chance back in the day.

I know this anime/manga/light novel is very controversial, so if you have watched it think whatever you feel comfortable with.
If you haven't, I recommend you to watch it and shape your own opinion.

Mixed Feelings

At first I thought it would be a disappointment, I really expected to be disappointed but it wasn't, I wouldn't say it's a gem but it did surprise me.

Despite having generic things, it stands out for the authenticity of those generic things in this world, I don't know, it has a more serious vibe, it doesn't feel ridiculous, and Rudy's development is impressive, just of course, I would prefer if he weren't a pervert


The animation is impressive as is the soundtrack and in the end they shined with the action scenes

I found this 1st season very entertaining and with ... few negative things, it's just not a gem since I don't like ecchi in this genre

Al principio lo veía como que sería un decepcion, realmente esperaba ser decepcionado pero no fue así, no diría que es una joya pero si me sorprendió

A pesar de tener cosas genéricas, destaca por la auntenticidad de esas cosas genéricas en este mundo, no se, tiene una vibra más seria, no se siente ridícula además el desarrollo de Rudy es impresionante, solo claro, preferiría que no fuera un pervertido


La animación es impresionante al igual que el soundtrack y al final se lucieron con las escenas de acción

Está 1ra temporada me pareció muy entretenida y con pocas cosas negativas, solo no es una joya ya que de este género no le gusta lo ecchi

It's hard to say anything that hasn't already been said, so I'll keep this brief.

The show has potential, but its appeal quickly diminishes. The music is great, and the art and production quality are impressive. However, the story is a chaotic mess (literally the best way to describe it). The show also tries to make light of pedophilia, rape, sexual harassment, etc. I don't mind some ecchi content, but this show handles it terribly.

I summary, the show is pretty scummy, and other reviews have already covered it extensively. Bottom line, if you've read through my rambling review, you might still want to give this show ... a chance. If so, go ahead and watch it. Good luck.
