Yuru Camp△ has made an amazing performance in 2018, here is a new light-weight show added to the Yuru Camp△ series, Heya Camp△. Do not let the title mislead you, it is not anything related to camping in the room, but rather a side story of Yuru Camp△.

🎬 Story - 7/10
The story itself is actually interesting, instead of a theme of camping, Heya Camp△ offers a theme of sightseeing. The whole story is about visiting sightseeing places around Yamanashi to gather stamps, simply a nice travel show with cute girls as show ... hosts, but sadly, it is way too short, only 3 minutes per episode. Lastly, just like Yuru Camp△, this show includes comedic moments that will surely make you smile.

🎨 Animation - 8/10
Above-standard art quality, eye-friendly, nice scenery art, and delicious-looking food like its parent show, Yuru Camp△, as always.

🔈 Sound - 8/10
Just relaxing soundtracks similar to its parent show, Yuru Camp△, however, they are not standing out and that noticeable. Heya Camp△ also includes a short 30-second ending song, which I find it pretty okay.

🕶 Characters - 7/10
Rather than featuring 5 main characters like in Yuru Camp△, Heya Camp△ focuses on 3 girls, Nadeshiko, Chiaki, and Aoi instead. This is a good idea of giving audiences more details and screen time of Chiaki and Aoi since Nadeshiko and Rin are the main stars of the main show, Yuru Camp△.

🎉 Enjoyment - 8/10
As relaxing as always. While waiting for the second season of Yuru Camp△, it is nice getting a light-weight show. If watching Yuru Camp△ is like having a main dish, Heya Camp△ would be a dessert. Since I love traveling in Japan, I liked the idea of the show, but sadly it is way too short but enjoyable and relaxing enough.

📌 Recommendations
Heya Camp△ is basically a mini Yuru Camp△, rather than a 23-minute episode length, Heya Camp△ offers a 3-minute one. Heya Camp△ might not be that great, but it is enjoyable and relaxing, recommended to anyone who loves the main show, Yuru Camp△. Enjoy!

Heya Camp is the short series that came from Yuru Camp and it is basically filler content to make the wait for the Yuru Camp movie and second season a little less painful.

This little series follows Nadeshiko, Aoi and Chiaki going on a trip around the environment collecting stamps to win a prize or something. Also Rin-chan is there.

This anime is literally just Yuru Camp again. The music is good, the lighthearted story is lightheartendly delightful, the characters are their selves, the animation is on par with the Original series which I applaud heavily, and overal it has the same ton as Yuru Camp.

...so ... yeah, this is just good, like how Yuru Camp is just good. If you like Yuru Camp, you will like Heya Camp.

Then Heya Camp △ is just the perfect anime for you. Grab a beer (or another drink) and just relax for a few minutes. Make yourself COMFY!
Most of you have probably already seen Yuru Camp △ and loved that anime. If not, you definitely have to watch it. Because this little short anime is as COMFY the main part.

STORY:
The story is a little less due to the short length in compare to Yuru Camp of course. Our girls (Nadeshiko, Aoi and Chiaki) discover the beautiful nature around the Yamanashi prefecture with ... the help of a stamp rally. What could be better than being out in the wild and discovering new delicacies and other interesting things?

CHARACTER:
The girls are just as cute as in the main anime. We see their beautiful friendship and their love for our nature again. Your well-known personalities also come to light here, of course everyone is in a good mood as always and having fun together.

ART:
The art style is just like Yuru Camp △. The backgrounds and mountains are all very nicely animated. Everything is wonderful.

SOUND:
The ED song "The Sunshower" fits perfectly for Heya Camp △, relaxing to listen. Anyone who has already liked "SHINY DAYS" (OP) and "Fuyu Biyori" (ED) from the main anime will certainly love this one too.

ENJOYMENT:
It's good to see our camping girls again. The feeling of the COMFY comes right back, no matter how hard the day was.
Just forget the stressful everyday life and make it cozy and COMFY! Everyone needs to relax.

(Can't wait for the second season in Jan 2021 already!)

This anime is a side story for Yuru Camp and only focusing on 3 main character. An episode of this anime is just 3 minutes long. Even though this anime called Heya Camp there are just 1 episode of them camping, so don't expect a camping activities in here.

The story here is already wholesome and they give you more wholesomeness with the plot twist. I didn't expect this surprise at all, they did a really good job hiding it. The art here is so beautiful they draw the mountain view so realistic. They also draw the girls so simple yet ... so cute. This anime doesn't have an OP instead they have a really good ED song, i'm never skip the ED because it is so catchy. Don't forget about the BGM too, they are really relaxing.

We really dive deep into their characters here. Like how they meet each other for the first time and become a bestfriend. For overall i really enjoy this anime, this feels like the main anime but shorter. But even though this anime is great, i'm not planning to watch this show again in future. Because i'm already know the plot twist and rewatching it would be different.

If you want to watch it i recommend you to watch the main anime first, because you need to know about their personality. It'll feel so different if you didn't know about them. And also this whole anime duration is around 1 hour, so if you want to finish it in one sit you can do it.

Despite its short length, Heya Camp manages to maintain most of the charm and comfort of the original series. As the ED goes, "It's Comfy Time! Happy Monday!". Watching this after a Monday's worth of work (this and Eizouken) is really comfy in ways watching the original Yuru Camp was.

I really gotta admire how Heya Camp manages to be so relaxing yet utterly engaging despite being a laidback slice of life short. The Stamp Rally miniplot ties everything together up nicely, giving the series a general goal to work with and the audience a thread to follow.

While not exactly a full course camp ... experience like the original was, Heya Camp is instead akin to a comfy afternoon nap that's incredibly satisfying nonetheless.

Yuru Camp is a fantastic anime with a high degree of cuteness. Heya Camp is a sequel series from 2020. Except the episodes are only three and a half minutes long with about thirty seconds of that being the ending theme tune.

Story:

The basic narrative is that Aoi and Chiaki take Nadeshiko on a stamp rally to various locations in Yamanashi and various shenanigans ensue.

The narrative is basically designed like an episode of the first series I reviewed. It has a lot of endearing, enjoyable moments. It also features some good gags and a lot of cute moments. I also did enjoy the ... conclusion to the stamp rally. One issue I had is that having an ending theme tune when you only have three and a half minutes to work with is kind of a waste. And that's especially true when you're spending a seventh of the time on that theme. If they really wanted to make better use of their time, they should have used it for some cute visual sequences instead of just showing Aoi, Chiaki and Nadeshiko looking up at Fuji with some minor breeze effects.

Characters:

This anime has a great cast of characters with strong interactions and relationship dynamics. The one thing that may be disappointing to fans is that Rin, one of the most important characters from the first series, only has a minor guest appearance in this one. We also don't see much of Ena. We do get some nice sequences with Aoi, Chiaki and Nadeshiko though. As well as some insight into Aoi and Chiaki's friendship.

Art:

This anime has gorgeous nature sequences. C-Station does an excellent job with the backgrounds and on adorable dogs. There's a lot of attention to detail and the characters do also look nice. The only let down is that the visuals for the ending theme tune get boring very quickly.

Sound:

The actresses are really good. Hanamori Yumiri, Toyosaki Aki, Hara Sayuri & Touyama Nao all make their triumphant returns. The music is solid.

Ho-yay:

There isn't as much in this as there is in the series proper. And it's not just because the episodes are much shorter. A lot of it comes down to a simple fact. The bulk of the les-yay in the first series came from the dynamic betwixt Rin & Nadeshiko and in this they barely share any screen time. There's still a bit of les-yay when they do and there's some between Aoi and Chiaki. So, that's nice.

Areas of Improvement:

1. Use the ending theme tune wisely. Just add some visual gags or cute moments instead of having a barely animated image.

2. The episodes could have used a little extra time.

3. A little more les-yay would've been nice.

Final Thoughts:

Heya Camp is an enjoyable little series. Considering the time constraints, they couldn't have done a much better job with it. It's well worth watching and doesn't even take as long as two episodes of a normal length anime. I'll give it an 8/10.

Heya Camp isn't anything remarkably special, but it is still a delightful little short series that manages to have a continuing storyline and that comforting, peaceful feeling of the original "Yuru Camp," just in a more condensed form. It's an easy and enjoyable watch.

Obviously do not expect the same components of Yuru Camp--a more complex storyline and all returning characters--but the artwork, sound, and overall chill vibe is still present (and the ending song is a bop). This short series is a good way to tide over those impatient feelings for Season 2 and a good way to bring back those feelings of peacefulness ... the original series brought, especially during this hectic time.

This is my dose of CGDCT (cute girls doing cute things) until the second season Yuru Camp releases. I really liked the idea of a Stamp Rally. Seems like a really interesting activity to do with friends. Maybe I'll make one someday. Animation is buttery smooth, the same great facial expressions as Yuru Camp. Although the dose of Rin is limited this time around, it's still great watching the other girls though. This time around there's no Opening sequence since it has short episodes. I'm not a big fan of the Ending too. Characters are great as always. ShimaRin is as wholesome as always. Nadeshiko ... is extremely heartwarming. Aki is caring and the best yet, World-Class Liar Inuko. The enjoyment level of this series is over 9000. Really brightens up my day in this era of Coronavirus. It really sucks, please go away quickly.

Heya Camp (2020)

12 Short 3 minute or so episodes of relaxing fun.

Cute girls doing cute things come to mind. It is a great little show to watch whilst waiting for season 2 of the main series.

You do get to see Rin too which is great.

The art is nicely done and great for the show. Following the same style of the main show.

... The ED is really great and the show is great sounding overall.

Characters are cute and they do some cute things in cute ways. What more needs to be said.

The show is very enjoyable to watch and was a good amount of time and did not feel rushed.

Overall, a recommended show for if you like the main show.

Heya Camp is a nice little series. For the most part, it maintains the same fun, light, and, of course, cute tone as Yuru Camp. And for this reason I enjoyed this little mini-series. However, there was one thing missing that made it less enjoyable than Yuru Camp: Rin.

The relationship between Rin and Nadeshiko was the best part of the Yuru Camp season 1. Because Rin is not a member of the outdoor club, she only has a supporting role in this series.

If you, like me, enjoyed the Rin/Nadeshiko dynamic most in Yuru Camp S1, you may be a bit disappointed with this series. ... However, if you really like Aki and/or Aoi, then this probably won't be much of a problem for you and I expect you'll enjoy this just as much as the Yuru Camp S1.

Want more Yuru Camp but in a bite sized anime short about the Outdoor Activities Club going through a stamp rally around Mt. Fuji?...then Heya Camp is your perfect anime short to watch.

Heya Camp pretty much follows Nadeshiko, Aoi and Chiaki on their Mt. Fuji Stamp Rally with the typical factoids about mountains (in this case, Mt Fuji as well as the surrounding areas around it) and the typical comedic hijinks of the club to go with it. Rin is mostly absent in this anime short but does have some screentime with her own thing as well as meeting up with the Outdoor Activities Club ... latter on. For the most part, how LA will say Heya Camp's plot is like, is essentially Yuru Camp: The Anime Short as the comedy, plot and it's characters are practically the same just in 3 minute episodes and even as a 3 minute episode, the comedy and the plot and how calming and slow paced (which in this case ISN'T a bad thing) makes Yuru Camp in anime short format to work quite well too.

The production value even as a 3 minute episodes doesn't really change much here what with C-Station back on animation and bringing in the aesthetic that the fully length anime has to anime short and the voice cast back. Yes Nao Touyama's screentime has been reduced in this anime short but Nao still got some screentime nonetheless. Overall, Heya Camp's production value is still the same as it's full length parent anime.

Overall, Heya Camp is what LA said at the start of this review. Want Yuru Camp as a 3 minute anime short with it's own small short story about the Outside Activities Club?, then Heya Camp is the anime short to watch.

With this, LA CAN'T WAIT to watch Yuru Camp's 2nd Season...

Honestly, this anime is absolutely amazing.it has a super chill and cozy feel every episode. the way that the characters are enjoying the outdoors and having fun is just a joy to watch. the short episodes (3 mins per ep) makes for a lack of story. but unlike Yuru camp(the prequel)you can easily watch an episode
on the bus or before a class. but alike the prequel it gives off the classic warm and cozy feel that we expect.this is the perfect anime for experienced campers or someone who just camps in their bedroom all day.the anime gave me a new appreciation for the outdoors and ... camping in general. and thus this concludes my review of Heya Camp△. This pandemic is taking over the world and I can't think of a better time to spend that time on anime. stay safe everyone!

Having a bad day, or bored because of your work, let’s just forget about it, take your time, make coffee and chips with you and watch Heya Camp. Nadeshiko, Inuyama, and Oogaki will carry you to the most relaxing way of Yamanashi Prefecture. Story starts with these 3 countryside girls, came from their first anime “Yuru Camp”. Heya Camp came with only 3 minutes per episode, enjoying the view of Yamanashi while collecting Reli Stamp on a beautiful sites.

I kinda worry of this anime, because how come you can make a story in just 3 minutes, even though Yuru Camp is just Slice of Life ... genre, but it’s important to make the story can’t be boring. So is the execution worked well? Yes. Amazingly Yes. It has main focus to just these 3 funny girls, I don’t have a less feeling about it, Wrapped up in simply way, just rumbling around with them and enjoying their typical comedy. Still have Yuru Camp characteristic which is Mount Fuji. Ahh~ Love it so much.

The art style in this anime, still consistent in all of its episodes. Onsen, Mount Fuji, Countryside Road, Yamanashi Prefecture, all colorized approach to the reality. I think they use a warm color, make our eyes enjoying the images.

Because it’s just 3 minutes anime, the decision to make the characters just focusing on these 3 is the best decision ever. We don’t have to worry about other character, we can focus on them collecting the stamps, and we can felt like we are collecting stamps too together with them.

Well I can’t breakdown it one by one, by all of their aspect, but what I can say is just relaxing.

Story: 8/10
It's much like the 1st season with the animation, music and overall enjoyable and lighthearted atmosphere. It feels very relaxing to watch, it's just the characters Nadeshiko, Aoi, and Chiaki going on a stamp rally, letting Nadeshiko see the places they have worth offering and it's just them enjoying themselves.

It's them bonding over a hobby they all have; camping, eating food, and seeing nature.

Art: 8/10
It has the same animation and gives the same lighthearted vibes as the 1st season with the lighting and overall presentation.

Sound: 8/10
Just like the original, and the ending song is the kind where you want to listen ... to the entire thing.

Character: 9/10
Although this one doesn't focus on Rin too much, it does show her every so often doing her own thing. No one's really out of character so nothing else to say there.

Enjoyment: 8/10
It's more Yuru Camp and if you're a fan of the 1st season, I'd recommend this charming short series.
