Re:Creators

Humans have designed countless worlds—each one born from the unique imagination of its creator. Souta Mizushino is a high school student who aspires to be such a creator by writing and illustrating his own light novel. One day, while watching anime for inspiration, he is briefly transported into a fierce fight scene. When he returns to the real world, he realizes something is amiss: the anime's headstrong heroine, Selesia Yupitilia, has somehow returned with him.

Before long, other fictional characters appear in the world, carrying the hopes and scars of their home. A princely knight, a magical girl, a ruthless brawler, and many others now crowd the streets of Japan. However, the most mysterious one is a woman in full military regalia, dubbed "Gunpuku no Himegimi," who knows far more than she should about the creators' world. Despite this, no one knows her true name or the world she is from.

Meanwhile, Souta and Selesia work together with Meteora Österreich, a calm and composed librarian NPC, to uncover the meaning behind these unnatural events. With powerful forces at play, the once clear line between reality and imagination continues to blur, leading to a fateful meeting between creators and those they created.

Short Review

Re:CREATOR is one of the if not the best anime concepts ever made, a story of stories colliding and characters that are too far even genre apart characters meet and interact with each other is almost a genre on its own.

Concept and characters already exceeding a 10/10 limit but this is also where the show's weakness shows (pun intended) the rest of the shows fundamentals are overshadowed causing not the best execution of connecting them like the pacing and the dialogue on power systems were basically useless because there were no power system but its also because making a power system in this concept ... is basically impossible causing the huge part of the anime pretty boring because this is FILLED with dialogue.

In conclusion I think this anime can absolutely stand as one of the classics or a must watch for the sole reason on how original and unique this concept is. Every popular anime will always have a predecessor or atleast similar concepts but Re:CREATORS is just different. It might not be a 10 out of 10 anime but this is still one of the only original shows that will remain original with no predecessors especially if you are also interested in writing this will give you infinite new perspectives.

Because no one can RE:create Re:CREATORS (pun intended)

Mixed Feelings

The premise was interesting, and the world building was more or less consistent.
The plot is dragged somewhat, which was weird in the way that there was enough for 22 episode yet some arc got rushed, while others dragged.
A couple characters were really interesting, but most were just 2 dimensional/cliché.

The one I would underline is Magane, she started as interesting, but became really boring in the second half. [Also even the anime is forgot about her existence, as she just stopped getting included in the episodes and nobody reacted at all, about searching for her whereabouts.]

The ending was great (especially the emotional beats), even with the ... lackluster preparation, if the other parts would be just as good it would approach a strong 9.

The animation was lazy at times, especially with the backgrounds and masking.

All in all it's a 7.5/10, for the ending I would say it is worthwhile to watch it.

Also it is frustrating how the anime forgot to even mention, about the lack of free will it implies for certain characters, and how those characters just never deal with the fact that basically they gained sentience and they will probably lose it and could become mindless pawns again.

What a let down. A very interesting concept and idea but its execution was mostly one thing; boring. The fight scene's are done pretty decently all the way through, and theres actually an interesting take on a recap episode. But overall the characters, and their relationships were about as interesting as watching paint dry. I think reading the entirety of rent a girlfriend is a better use of your time (i wouldn't wish that upon my worst enemy). It took me maybe 6 months to get through this 22 episode show due to the absolute dullness. The first 1/3 is entertaining, but after the exposure ... to this interesting idea wears off you're left with an incredibly mundane experience. Some people might enjoy it as a whole, I definitely did not and don't recommend it.
