Kokoro ga Sakebitagatterunda.

Both are about characters overcoming their shortcomings. Most characters throughout have their own personal problems, be it mental instability, past trauma, physical handicaps, and the movies are about overcoming these challenges. Good drama and good characters. 

Very similar settings, both main heroines have a disability and there are romance aspects in both movies. 

Similar great anime movies about not being able to express yourself through words. While Koe no Katachi depicts a girl that can't speak because of a physical problem, Kokoro ga Sakebitagatterunda portrays a girl that can't speak because of her fears. Both movies exemplify how these individuals receive love, friendship, and acceptance through the help of friends that they will meet along the way. 

Koe no Katachi features a deaf girl and Kokoro ga Sakebitagatterunda features a mute girl. 

Dramas about redemption and overcoming past traumas. Both heroines face some form of social ostracism as a result of either disability or psychological scars.  

Both main heroines have the similar problem, the main guys are interested with that and tried to understand what they really want. Both have some depressing moments that might make you cry. 

Both movies involve a girl who has trouble with communicating to the people around her. They both feel as if they are a burden to others, and everything would be better without them. Both girls end up meeting a boy, and are able to overcome their problems, thanks to the boy. Both include reuniting with past acquaintances. (Ishida getting back in touch with his old classmates, just as how Sakagami and Nitou get back in touch.) Both are quite moving films, and get emotional from time to time. Koe no Katachi focuses more on the theme of redemption, and letting go of the past. Kokoro ga Sakebitagatterunda focuses on accepting yourself, and finding out who you truly are.  read more

"Koe no Katachi" and the film "Kokoro ga Sakebitagatterunda" depict the school life of a disabled student (who cannot speak or is deaf) and have many similarities. Both films show how the characters experience the challenges and interactions around feelings, friendship and affection while coping with their own problems, be it mental instability, trauma or guilt as well as their own physical disability. Both stories are very movingly staged and illustrate how the two students go their own way and experience worries, but also help, friendship and affection. Both movies has a heroine that has trouble communicating with people. They also think that they are a trouble to the people around. They fear that they hurt other because of their problem. Both movies has a boy that helps the girl with her problem and the girl helping with the boy's problem. Both movies has same genre of drama and romance. I highly recommend you to watch the movies. It's really emotional. 

Both films involve a girl that is unable to communicate properly with others, gain friends as the stories progress  

Although the plot differs quite a bit, the vibe/feel is the same~ They both make amazing points for things like communication, how words can be used to hurt or help, guilt for things said/done in the past, etc. Chances are if you liked the character building and topics in Koe no Katachi you'll love Kokoro ga Sakebitagatterunda (or Anthem of the Heart) too. I've personally seen it three times now and I know I'll never forget it~ 

The female MC has a disability and she is being bullied in their class. The male MC has a heart for helping his classmate and became friends. The drama is pretty good too.The story is centered to bullying. 

The Anthem of the Heart and A Silent Voice have one large similarity, being that both female protagonists have difficulty in communicating with other people. Nishimya and Naruse are very similar characters, who struggle finding their 'voice' and in conveying their opinions. These two films come hand-in-hand in terms of emotional prowess, soundtrack and plot. 

Both are good movies about struggling with speech among other shared themes also both have adorable female leads :) 

both anime are about lonely, speechless girls. both movies are really emotional and tell interesting stories about important things 

Both have a girl who can't speak in it, Both School, Romance and Drama genres. Koe no Katachi is better in my opinion but I think watching Anthem of the Heart is recommended too. 

The lead female characters are similar because the face discrimination among their peers around them, due to "disabilities". Yes I quoted disabilities. Both movies are FREAKISHLY GOOD. Prepare those onion chopping boards, and a couple of boxes of tissue. Go now, my child. Cry to your heart's content. 

Both films are talking about the power of word and in the main characters there are mute people. Both are emotional and adresses subject of recovering from a trauma 

Both are Coming of age story with lot of heartwarming moment, The characters in both the anime is very relatable , heavely dramatic with lot of emotional moment, Zero plot holes and perfect ending 

They both have a girl who have problem with speaking. Both animes shows characters reliving from their past traumas.

Anohana and kokosake are from the same creator. Both has same stories about a girl that struggles for her friends. And of course, a relationship drama. 

Both were scripted by Mari Okada, and these are by far the two shows that she has written that are the closest to each other, as far as I know, and here's why: >Both have a fantasy/supernatural setting attatched to the Girl Main Character (regardless of it being real or not); >This leads to a similarity in both shows' objectives, which is said girl coming to terms with her situation(though in very different ways); >Both deal with multiple love triangles inside the main group of friends; >These love affairs eventually lead to the emotionally similar climax of the shows, although in 'The Anthem of the Heart' the theme of ROMANCE is a little more prevalent than in AnoHana, where the core theme is FRIENDSHIP. >And yes, both are very feelsy obviously eheh  read more 

Kokosake and Anohana are made by the same creators and they give off a similar dramatic and heartwarming vibe. Both anime focus on the main heroine's, a young girl's, extraordinary condition and her friends, who try to help her but, also face their own personal problems. 

These two anime are both made by the same production staff and share a very similar art style and atmosphere. They both feature a group of high school students who learn to overcome their problems. They also have a lot of drama in them and can get you emotional. 

This is from the same writer and it encompasses the repercussions of what words can do to define you in life. A few words from the ones you are closest the most can make or break you and in this movie it is both celebrated and lamented. It also breaks some of the common tropes in romance that really improves the quality of the movie overall. To be honest I was really caught off guard when I watched this during my free time and I loved it to bits. I do hope you do too! 

If you have seen Anohana and you are looking for something similar, something sad, I recommend you Kokoro ga. I honestly can't say that the stories are very similar, but I can say that in the two you find the same types of feelings. Both have a very emotional ending and are one of the best animes of sadness that you can find. 

These two are both made by same creators, so their art style is very similar and yes, the heavy drama that ninjas suddenly cut onions.

Similar main heroine, quiet, shy and no friends. Both MC and heroine have a similar traumatic past, which they both gain resolve through each other. Similar genres (romance, school, drama)  

Silent girl with a rather dark past (bullying / feelings of guilt) and troubelled feelings meets a boy who tries to help her out of her sad state. Both movies give you kind of a similar feeling sometimes. 

The female MC is being bullied. The male MC became friends with her. Both story is centered to bullying. The drama is good as well as the story. 

Both movies deal with a female that has some sort of issue Both get bullied to a certain degree and mc helps them Both are realistic and deal with the idea of accepting who you are  

- Both have similar relationships between mother and daughter. - Both have traumatic events occurring towards the main characters which causes their families to separate. - Both eventually make new friends forming into a group. - Both main characters start out shy and hopeless and gradually become friendlier.  

Both animes are about girls who "destroyed" their families by saying something their parents disliked to hear. The two girls also started to feel better and more confident after making friends. 

Music is used as a compelling way to break through the chains of anxiety; may it be orchestrated by yourself or someone you look up to. This is the key takeaway from both of these anime, leaving a happy C# ringing in your heart. If you're looking for a stunning story wrapped in a spring breeze of heart-warming sounds, then serenade yourself with the beauty of these two anime.

In both movies, the heroine struggles to express herself and connect with others after a traumatic event (losing her mother in Belle; feeling responsible for her parents’ divorce in Anthem of the Heart). Music plays a role in helping the heroine grow and finally express their true feelings to others. 

Both anime was about Friendship + Sing 

The heroines of both anime, Naruse Jun and Isurugi Noe, with some trouble with her emotion or psychology, have no friends. The scripts of both are written by Okada Mari. Their themes are similar: romance, youth and growth. 

Both "Her Blue Sky" and "Anthem of the Heart" are films from the mid 2010s and were both written by Mari Okada, so there are plenty of similarities. -the animation and character designs are very similar in both, in fact the main characters (Aioi and Jun) look almost identical. -they both involve characters overcoming past trauma, and in both films the caste is working to put on a musical performance. -as they were both written by the same person, the plot structure is similar in the two. -there's romantic elements, but I wouldn't say that's the main focus. -they're both stories about overcoming grief and following your dreams, with a slight supernatural element mixed in. Personally I felt conflicted about the conclusion of both "Her Blue Sky" and "Anthem of the Heart" but at the same time I enjoyed these films and found them touching, if you liked one maybe the other is worth seeing.  read more
