These are two anime films from 2015/2016 portraying school youth dealing with guilt, alienation, and most prolific — disabilities (being unable to speak and being deaf). Both are very high class, good stories dealing with a slice of life setting focusing on human interactions; like love, friendship, feelings towards self, and how they can vary depending on one's own mood.

- Similar art, design, and highschool setting. - Male protags who appear to be deadbeat trash but actually has a heart of gold. - Relationship drama. - A group of highschoolers gather together for whatever reason with wildly different personalities, more or less working on a common goal. - Drama. Heavy drama.

Similarity: - The MC has traumatic past, and develop trait from it (Chuunibyou and Silent) - The Prince save the MC with their ability (Chuuniboyu and Music)

Both stories feature a cute girl who bears the trauma of indirectly causing her family to break apart when she was a child, and a group of friends that helps her finally overcome her anxiety and open up to others.

Similar MCs have painful past and try to overcome themselves Both stories portray complicated romantic relationships between characters Both stories focused on music performance

If you liked Belle, you'll love Anthem of the Heart. Both main characters suffer bad blows to their self-esteem after a childhood trauma, (while Suzu just can't sing anymore without making herself sick, Jun's lost the ability to talk at all) but overcome that with the help of some good friends and the healing power of music. Sounds cheesy, I know, but it was super moving.

Both related about singing/musical things. Tari Tari, the characters try to make singing performance show while Kokosake more about to make the musical show at an event. Very satisfy with both musical songs, both song in the anime are very good to hear, just like choir/group singing.

Both shows feature a young girl who had a "curse" put on her. A weird girl non the less, who can't express herself just right. Also similarities in the romantic developments. Love triangle with a tricky, touching outcome. Stories of friendship, love, struggles, maturing and liberation! With beautiful music of course :) If you liked this movie, I strongly recommend True Tears as a similar yet different story, told in 13 episodes.

In both movies, the FMC try to express their feelings even though they know the answer. The ending may be bitter but you'll feel content and happy for main charac.

Before noting similarities, there's a huge difference: Kiznaiver is intense since it has mystery and dystopian elements, and Kokoro ga Sakebitagatterunda is really light hearted and closer to real, normal life. But if you like anime about a motley crew who come to share cute and heart-wrenching friendships and relationships, then these two both give groups of people who become close despite the odds.

Love stories, abnormal events. Two people who help each other. If you liked Kimi no Na Wa, you will definitely like Kokosake too (viseversa too). You will absolutely feel good in the same way after watching it, or emotional.
report Recommended by K_Cad
Both have an adorable main character who is driven by some sort of regret. Both have awesome art styles and music. Although, depending on the viewer, the romance element is quite different.

The female protagonist imagine or dream something weird and believe it

In both series, eggs are representations of people's souls.

They have the same flow of story, same pretty dramatic and have this core attribute that is memorable and beautiful. All of its major points from the beginning will come together in the end, so make sure that you watch out for every detail of the show because for me that's why these two is a masterpiece!

Both stories is about a girl who got a trauma from childhood that have to overcome. both have a degree of severity in diffrent aspect. but both will find its prince its own way and overcome the childhood trauma.
report Recommended by gakuendo
They present ideas of how the words of people affects others, Anthem presents how one can harm people through their words while Your Voice shows it in a more positive light.

they are actually pointing at the same thing

Both movie has melancholic atmosphere to them. Both has female protagonists who must overcome or learn to deal with obstacles and heartbreak.

It's basically the same plot- main character (a girl) has problems with speaking but with help of friends she is able to overcome her trauma/fear. Both series are also romance

Both focus on the musical abilities of the two main characters & their connections to one another. Furthermore, using real-world anthems & tracks as part of the story's development. Performances are also large features for both anime; emotional, gripping & tearjerking in some cases. It explores how different backgrounds influence music & how it can be projected to overcome insecurity and thus to find harmony in doing so.

Both Animes have similar girl main character who choose to shut her mouth up since the way of the girl delivering the words often hurt others. The different is that, in Kokoro ga movie, the MC put more effort to keep words out of her mouth and having more apparent suffering from shutting the mouth, which makes the series more interesting than Omoide no Marnie.

Both movies are about a girl with a personal/family problems and finds in school a group of friends that help her overcome it and together they embark on a school project becoming very good friends.

Chicks and eggs. Before I see myself out, some similarities (+) and differences (-): + Is it a literal egg or a metaphorical egg? Does is matter which is it? + Egg symbolism. + Quiet female protagonist. - Angel's Egg takes itself a lot more serious and is more of an art piece, whereas Kokosake has a traditional narrative structure and tells a simple story. - COMPLETELY different atmosphere. Polar opposites. - Very different settings. They're nothing alike, but maybe you just want to watch anime featuring eggs for some reason. I'm here to help.

The female mc is quitely similar. They're quiet and can't talk. But surprisingly, when they're talk, the voice is beautiful and sweet voice. The second similarity is they're performed school drama. Even though, on hitohira just drama.

teen melodrama, music and a quiet kid who comes out of their shell at the end.

Both films are devoted to how a child gets a serious psychological trauma due to the imprudent actions of adults, and then overcomes it, developing as a person through friends's help and and selfless help to other people.

The main similarity beween these anime is that in both the main heroine is cursed and as a result they become unable to express their feelings, while inside they're both honest and open girls. In "Kokoro..." Jun loses her ability to speak, and in "hentai ouji" Tsukiko starts wearing only a cold and emotionless expression on her face.
report Recommended by aleix
Both girls are quite shy, anti-social, don't have many friends etc. But both MC's find someone who helps them to come our of the shell. They find friends, start trusting and liking people and in the end get's someone to love and be with

Both the protagonists lock their hearts and try their best not to open up to others but they soon find the person they were looking for and a bond stronger than anything develops between them. If you are looking for some school-settings anime moviez which is more than "just some regular romance ones", i'm sure you're looking for these.

Both Kokosake's and Clannad's main heroine is a quiet high school girl with no friends, who suddenly meets a group of people who try to help her. In Kokosake, they end up preparing a musical based on the girl's story, in order for her to express her feelings, while in Clannad, they try to reestablish the drama club in order for the girl to act as the heroine for a play she wrote.
report Recommended by Melody
Both animes potray a female protagonist that goes through school lonely and friendless. Through events, they both gain more friends and experience hardships and happy moments together.

A group of four high school students with opposite personalities each one has to team up against their will, and it shows how their lives change because of it. Both has parts where the characters sing, too.
report Recommended by ObscureObsidian
Made by the same crew, had a similar story structure, both tugged at heart strings and put a big smile on my face. Neither made me cry, but both made me so happy and sad at the same time, that I had a crisis on how I was living my High School Life.
