Students of a certain school are involved with something supernatural and they experience tragic deaths and accidents.

Both are horror series that makes your skin crawl. :D awesome art style and amazing music.

Horror anime based on games where people are trapped in schools. It has similar motifs to Danganronpa, but a lot more gore.

Gakkou Gurashi, like Corpse Party, is a violently horrifying anime that wears a moe-mask at all times.
report Recommended by Lolicon
Extremely gory and mature anime (Elfen Lied has more nudity while Corpse Party has more gore). They have some supernatural elements as well as many psychological elements where characters go insane due to fear, anger, etc. They both have dangerous, murderous little girls.

These are both shows that think excessive gore is equals horror. Both these show are condensed versions of their source material that rush and compress the material into something that is really unsatisfying to watch. The plots are quite different with Corpse Party being about a group of students trying to unravel a curse and Pupa is about a girl that turns into a monster that eats her brother so she doesn't murder other people. Corpse Party has a little bit of a plot even in it is compressed. Pupa skips around to the point of incoherency. Pretty much if you're just looking for violent  read more

They're anime adaptions of RPG maker horror games.

Both are horror anime adaptations of horror RPG Maker games. Although to be fair, this Corpse Party anime more precisely is an adaptation of the PlayStation game that was based on the RPG Maker game, so not exactly. But it's still the closest you'll get to horror adaptations of RPG Maker games.

Tbvh this Mirai Nikki isn't even similar to Corpse Party at all. But it has that psychotic, crazy, mental feeling in it that makes you want to say "This is so messed up but wtf that was cool as hell." Especially at the end of Corpse Party I was like //woah. Plus! If you like gore and blood and just crazy psycho characters running around killing people with wide open eyes and creepy smiles then Mirai Nikki is for you. And to throw in a bonus you will meet the queen of yandere's: Gasai Yuno. You'll have a blast with her :))

If you're a fan of gore, you should definetely watch these two anime.

Have similar plot settings, have good gore and horror, and also have romance spice.

Both involve chasing and killing spirits. Both have characters who played a game and are sent to another dimension who look for their loves. Both are suspenseful and involve horror.

- People are trapped, can't get out (in Umineko's case it was in a mansion, Corpse Party's was in an old school) - Gruesome deaths (although Corpse Party is more gruesome) - The culprit are both insane

Much gore, much blood, no mercy, just killing.

While Tasogare Otome x Amnesia only has a little horror in it, the horror parts have a very similar feeling to all of Corpse Party. They involve ghosts who were horribly killed in the past and now reside in a school. Corpse Party is extremely gory while the other has hardly any in comparison.

Extreme gore content. One is about ghosts while the other is more about SF creatures, but both doesn't hesitate to show violent deaths of children and teenagers.

Yukidoke and Corpse Party are about paranoid messed up main characters and both shows are creepy, grotesque, and violent.
report Recommended by Third-Impact
They both follow a classic horror movie formula which sets them apart from most horror animes. Umezu Kazuo no Noroi being an OVA too, has uncensored gore scenes similarly to Corpse Party. I favor the former mentioned for having a less annoying cast of characters though.

both deal with the theme of spirits, with violent scenes of horror.
report Recommended by DanYuuichi
Both contain a very sadistic main character who punishes innocent characters trying to survive. Rinse, repeat.

-Both are extremelly gore anime -Main characters in both anime are children -Both are short, but the stories are complete

If you're into anime with lots of gore, these two beat the case. This recommendation is based only on Season 1 of Tokyo Ghoul. Of every quality I state in this recommendation, Corpse Party, by my opinion, is 2 times better than Tokyo Ghoul, except for paragraphs "4" and 5, on those they seem to be almost the same: 1) Dark 2) Grotesque 3) Interesting story 4) Interesting characters 5) The characters possess very lifelike emotions and expressions. The abandoned school atmosphere and amazing voice acting in Corpse Party makes you feel like you're actually there, in the darkness, while in Tokyo Ghoul we are presented with a more bright and illuminated  read more

First of, if you're looking for an anime with a similar story, then skip this recommendation. You're still here ? Okay let me explain ... Corpse Party : Tortured Souls makes me think to Asura before the end of the first episode and this, in several ways : First ; the bloody ambiance. It's hard to say much than that without spoiling. Both are clearly gore with an intense amount of violence. Second ; Asura is a child too. When you decide to drop the innocence of a child to turn him into an adult -or in Asura's case, a beast-, it's a step that can't be reversed. With  read more

Here we have two anime with a very similar concept : a group of students involved in supernatural horrific situations and trapped in closed areas , and try to figure-out a solution to bring peace ( exorcise to be precise ) to the ghosts they are dealing with. However, Ghost Hunt is oriented to paranormal investigation and have not real gore scenes.

Both are extremely gore, to the point of being extra. If you wanna watch a lot of blood and pain and suffering, then both anime are pretty similar. Both of them involve twisted logics and places. If you wanna watch something with extremem gore then you should watch it !

Similar plot point where school kids are thrown into supernatural-esque horrific situations outside of their control. Both also contain a level of gore, with Corpse Party having more than Deadman Wonderland, but both with varying elements of gore and death.
