Corpse Party: Tortured Souls - Bougyakusareta Tamashii no Jukyou

Students of a certain school are involved with something supernatural and they experience tragic deaths and accidents.
Groups of high school students are killed in mysterious ways by some seemingly supernatural occurrence. Another goes outside of the school while Corpse Party only takes place inside a school, but the school buildings are similar and creepy (despite Another's being to a far lesser extent). They have similar character designs and the characters have similar psychological breakdowns due to the extreme situations they are placed in, but Corpse Party is about ten times gorier than Another.
Both take place in a supernatural world/school where an unknown force causes many people to die, usually in horrifying ways. There is some sort of curse involved in the incidents and the characters try to escape.
Both contain blood and has a relatively dark atmosphere.

Well, to put it simple, without spoiling anything.
- Loads a gore
-Brutal deaths
-All of the stuff happens at a school, just like Corpse Party
-very strong on the story,and story before the anime.
I was very thirsty for some gore animes when i watched corpse party, so if anybody wants just more than corpse party, watch Another, very great characters, story is perfect, animation and sounds are good, really creepy most of the moments, and the deaths.. The deaths are over the top.
For the corpse party, it was just simply glorious deaths.

The action takes place mostly at school and it involves supernatural. There are many tragic deaths. A group of students needs to solve a mystery in order to escape a certain "curse".
Both animes are about students who are being killed by something supernatural and they try to solve the mystery behind these tragic deaths. A lot of blood, a thrilling atmosphere, many horror scenes and agonizing feelings are the common characteristics of these two series.

Dark atmosphere.
Students involved with supernatural things try to escape a certain curse and they are killed in different ways. Some of them go crazy.
Gore.
Students are mysteriously killed in horrifying ways in their school. Both have supernatural themes and students try to escape a curse. Corpse Party has more gore but both are bloody and scary. Both have their own twists that you most likely won't have seen coming.
Both are centered around high school students and a mysterious curse that is causing gruesome deaths, though I feel Corpse Party may have been slightly more of a gore-fest.
In both shows there is a supernatural curse in which the characters are being killed by. Corpse Party definitely has a lot more gore than Another but if you liked Corpse Party then you'll most likely like Another.
These two anime both have a school genre. Both have some kind of curse and a contain a lot of gore.

Corpse Party is only 4 episodes, and has more tension, whereas Another has 12 episodes, and the story starts off slow. The story does get more tense in the last few episodes though, I thoroughly enjoyed both.

Both have mysterious deaths that will be discovered over anime and of course a lot of blood
They are both full of gore and have unique death scenes. They also have very unexpected plot twists that will shock you that it happened. They also take place in a very creepy setting and both involve murders that happened at schools. This is a really good series to watch and I recommend to all horror fans.
both has alot of gore and blood, but corpse party probably a bit more, so if you love to see school students die this is the perfect anime for you (even though that is a sick obsession)

Did you looooove Anothers gore scenes? Well step right up to probably the grand mester of gore, Corpse Party.
If you on the other hand saw Corpse Party... well. Another has some really great gore scenes but just watch the uncensored version of the scenes on youtube, you don´t need to go through Another XD

Both feature cursed schools, unraveling mysteries, creative deaths, gratuitous gore, and the awareness that no character is safe.
Bonus: you could exchange the theme songs and it would work either way.

If you're a horror fan than Another and Corpse Party will not disappoint you for sure.
If you like gore that will make you want to throw up yet you actually enjoy a good horror story that isn't all jumpscares, than these two animes are for you! The characters are all well made and the art style is easy to look at. The story is also very well done and it makes it worth watching. It doesn't even take that long to finish!

They are similar because they both have a lot of death scenes. They are both pretty gruesome and very dramatic. You feel sorry for the characters who die and they contain a tiny bit of love. They are both scary but they both have those happy moments as well.

...manage to establish a creepy atmosphere very well.
...have gory death scenes that are more goofy than disturbing.
If you liked one anime, chances are very good you will like the other one, too! They are both comparable to horror B-movies, in that they shouldn't be taken too seriously. If you want to lean back and enjoy a sometimes shocking, but often silly horror flick, then these are the anime series for you.
Both of these shows contain gore settings and both the plot of the two revolves around the cast finding away to prevent from dying as the days go by.

Both are very bloody anime that involve school students. Corpse Party has more gore and Another has story.
Long story short, students are murdered in a brutal way, they try to escape from it and find out why this happens.

These are alike based on gore and horror experience but its more horrible than that.... I can give guarantee you that.
Corpse Party falls rather flat as an anime, especially with the short four episode series. However, the games that it is based off of tell a great tale & is the only way you can take in the series as a whole. If you want a similar shock and gore anime with better writing, Another will fulfill your needs where Corpse Party left you hanging. To fully appreciate the short Corpse Party anime for what it is, I suggest playing through the game beforehand.
